The series starts with ONLY HUMAN.
Candace Blevins writes urban fantasy, paranormal romance, epic fantasy contemporary BDSM romance, and two kick-ass motorcycle club series. She’s published more than fifty books. Candace lives with her husband of twenty-four years and their two teenaged daughters. The family’s beloved, goofy, retired racing greyhounds are usually at her side as she writes, quietly keeping her company. Or sometimes not so quietly.
Her urban fantasy series, Only Human, gives us a world where weredragons, werewolves, werelions, three different species of vampires, and a variety of other mythological beings exist.
Candace's various paranormal romance series are all sister series to the Only Human series, and give some secondary characters their happily ever after.
Her Dark(ish) Faerie Tale series gives us a close-up and personal look at Queen Mab, and her Dark Underbelly series is, as you’d expect, dark and (if you’re a little twisted) oh-so-yummy.
Her contemporary Safeword series gives us characters who happen to have some extreme kinks. Relationships can be difficult enough without throwing power exchange into the mix, and her books show characters who care enough about each other to fight to make the relationship work. Each couple in the Safeword series gives the reader a different take on the lifestyle.

As this series leads up to the battle between good and evil, Candace Blevins brings us further into the supernatural world and the politics that surround it. The lines are blurred, people who may be on the side of good just may not be, and, people she was wary of just may be on her side as well. It could be a little confusing but, if you follow the story closely, it isn't.
Kirsten is kind of disappointing me. Nathan is really trying, you could feel it. But, she's constantly snarky with him. She wasn't the only one hurt in that relationship and maybe she has to remember that. Everyone is telling her to find peace with him but she keeps pushing him away when he tries. Unfortunately, I don't think I will get my wish of them being together again unless they can both find it in their hearts to understand and forgive. As for her and Mordecai … I can't see it. Sorry. Yes, the sex is literately “out of this world” but, that's all I can see. I seriously don't think he could truly love Kirsten … protect her, respect her – yes, but not truly love her. As for the other supernaturals, they bring their own idiosyncrasies to the story that truly make it interesting and exciting.
I am loving watching the pack form and come together. Cora and Kirsten are a good team. They have a special relationship and it's wonderful that no one and nothing can come between them. It seems the pack will love Cora as their Alpha and respect Kirsten for what she is to Cora and the pack.
With everyone popping in and out of this story, I really enjoyed myself. I love when she brings everyone together and am looking forward to the threesome that was eluded to here. But, most of all, I am just waiting for battle … to see just how and where Kirsten lands … how Lauren is going to fit into everything … and, especially, who Kirsten ends up with. No, there's no HEA … yet … for Kirsten but I am truly hoping for one for her. We're just not sure who it will be with.
Filled with kick-ass females, alpha males, exciting fight scenes and incredible love scenes, Infinitely Human has a little bit of everything for anyone who enjoys a paranormal story.
Be careful of the friends you keep, because you might just become like them. In this latest addition to this perfectly blended urban fantasy kinky erotica, Kirsten is showing she is a forced to be reckoned with. To understand Kirsten's evolution into one to be feared, it is best to read this series from the beginning. Kirsten's initial persona and how she reiterates she is only human and not a bad ass is now a thing of the past. In this one, Kirsten owns her ruthlessness and not all the males she is with likes this change. I am on the fence with if I like the change.
I struggled with this review because my thoughts on the book are all over the place. From a plot movement, this story adds another piece to complete the bigger picture. Introducing a few new characters of questionable alliances adds to the chaos. This helps keep the tension of the upcoming big good versus evil showdown alive. The messy complications of political ties broken and damaged brings me down. Instead of seeing stronger cross group alliances, it seems the bonds are continuing to fray at a rapid rate. This bothers me because as a therapist, I would expect Kirsten to be able to help bring the groups together and heal. Instead, she's the thorn causing the infection. I am not enamoured with this side of Kirsten.
What I did enjoy is Cora's pack coming together. Having her run her own pack and creating a safe haven for those who elected not to be part of Randall's pack is heartwarming. Learning more about some of the characters as well as meeting new ones, specifically a powerful female Vamp kept my interest. Of course, the kinky erotic scenes are panty wetting goodness.
Generally I like a woman who is growing and coming into her own. I'm not quite sure why Kirsten's change is bothering me more. Her complicated relationship with Abbott and Nathan is at the crux of my issues. I was not exactly a fan of Nathan and I definitely do not like the rules of how his pack works. I did grow to admire him. I never understood why Kirsten and Nathan came together. I felt they were wrong for each other so why am I so upset that they broke up? Why am I so upset with her conflicts with Abbott? I think it stems from the view point that they loved her so much and sacrificed to help her. They came through for her at each point and wanted to protect her. Were they over protective? Hell yes. They are old and powerful males. She is human and young, regardless of her maturity. When they needed her to come through for them, she did not. She let them down and I think this is my biggest issue with the Kirsten I see now.
When these characters are created so well and they feel like friends to you, it is a difficult time when they break up. It is hard to not choose a side. Kirsten is definitely within her rights to do everything she did to show her strength to be taken seriously. This I do not question. Perhaps I am still hung up on how the last book ended with solid relationships torn apart with a series of thoughtless acts with good intentions. Kirsten is not perfect and I'm holding her up to be perfect. It is said that female readers are much harder on female characters than male ones who make relationship missteps.
My issues and hang ups aside, I thoroughly enjoyed the wild ride. The pace of the story kept me riveted. Ms. Blevins' story telling keeps becoming better and better. Her stories are like my favourite single malt scotch... powerful, spicy and potent. This story comes with several hard kicks to the gut yet tempered with delicious loving. Kirsten coming together with another male is a twist I hoped for and deliriously enjoyed. The complexities of this book keep my mind on constant active mode trying to figure out what will happen next. This urban fantasy is highly recommended to readers who enjoy a solid plot layered with emotion, intrigue, betrayal and bonds. *I received an advanced copy
In this exciting installment of the Only Human series the big battle is getting closer and things are beginning to heat up even more as Cora becomes Alpha of her own pack, Kirsten’s life comes precariously close to ending…more than once, Kirsten and Abbott have a near miss with their own battle and Kirsten still has to deal with all those pesky evil European vampires and their politics.
As usual when reading one these novels, the pace of the story takes place at fast clip, has lots of things going on at once and readers never have a chance to look up from the pages. The suspense and anticipation builds throughout with lots of intense and dangerous situations, lots of emotionally tense situations and the navigating of supernatural politics that seem to have a never ending set of rules, which Kirsten seems to butt heads with on several occasions. Kirsten also likes to throw rules out the book when comes to her own personal gifts or powers which keeps everybody guessing at just what will happen. Lots of twists and turns also keep readers on their toes while Kirsten and Ryan search for a serial killer and in the romance department, Nathan and Kirsten are still trying to come to terms with everything that’s happened between them while Kirsten and Mordecai’s relationship seems to be going in an unexpected direction. OMG, readers, this story has lots going on and a never ending supply of wit, tough as nails grit and dangerous thrills so I have to tell you that once again, I was so caught up in the non-stop stunning excitement of this story that I forgot fix supper.
I hate to go all fan girl and gush in a review, but...this one is soooo good. Like all the books in the series this one is extremely fast paced, but still incredibly rich in detail. We get a few new characters, but the story mostly focuses on established characters.
Kirstin started out as a character I wasn't crazy about, yet through the series she has become a favorite character for me. I really like her toughness, yet we still see vulnerability when it comes to her family and close friends. I love the bond with Cora, and really hope to see her and Nathan get back on stable ground.
I've read every book in the series, but every time I read a new book I feel like I'm missing out on so many details because of what I've forgotten from previous books. This book makes me want to go back and binge read every book from the series just to get caught back up.
Oh, where to begin? There was so much going on in this story as we race towards the big battle. Everyone is showing up, briefly, regularly, mentioned in passing, and they all are gearing up, making alliances, calling out enemies, or trying to do the right things. A little bit of possessive males, an awesome revenge, and a perfect power play start us off with a bang.
A fair amount of focus is on Kirsten and Cora, as they move onto their land and start to branch out on their own. So many small and moving parts to getting them settled, but the one thing that stays evident is that they are more in sync then they ever were before
New shifters come into play in this story, and no, still no hint on Isaac. New characters, and not sure if they are good or bad. The ties between the supernaturals living in Chattanooga can't have any fractures, yet, nobody is being completely honest it seems
Girl power! (yes random, but totally relevant)
And we leave the calm before the storm with a simple bonding between mother and child. Kirsten and Lauren enjoy some peace and quiet, and the simple parts of everyday life. It most definitely set the calm after the chaos, and it absolutely feels like it will be a short reprieve.
You'll be vibrating wanting more after you finish this story!!!
We are watching Kirsten and Cora coming into their own moving onto their new land. Watching as the big battle continues to brew and what has to be done to be ready for it. Kirsten is learning more about herself and determined to fight this head on. I totally loved how she got payback on Gavin, he deserved it.Watching Cora take her own pack and leaning more about what all this means between her and Kirsten. Kirsten is on the hunt for a serial killer. There are new monsters to contend with. You really need to read the other books in this series to have a complete gasp at what is going on as they head to the big battle. I really love the chemistry between Kirsten and Mordecai. Edge of your seat reading.
Once again, Candace Blevins sucks you in and doesn’t let go. Infinitely Human is book 6 in the Only Human series and must be read in order if you want to have any clue as to what is happening. This series is one of my all time favorite series and Infinitely Human does not disappoint. I absolutely loved it! Another amazing hit!
I do love a continuing story that evolves organically over several books and still manages never to leave you with a hair-tearing cliffy. Anticipation? Yes. Murderous frustration? Never.
Infinitely Human takes the action of the story line up several levels and by leaps and bounds. Alliances seem to solidify, baddies begin to pop up in unexpected places in unexpected ways, all over the globe. And the tension is palpable. Almost everyone who is or will be key in the battle has made their presence known, with a few notable exceptions, and I am anticipating no book more than the one where it all takes place. Its going to be magic, and not just in the story line. For the reader, its going to be a next-level experience.
But in addition to the main theme urban fantasy, this time I think there is someone in Kirsten's life who is not new to her life, but who seems to be able to heal her soul and keep it safe, with out needing to own it. I never expected it, but I am thrilled to see it. It satisfies the romantic in me, mainly because I didn't see it coming, but also because in some obvious way with hindsight, no one other guide/friend/mentor in the series has seen (or tried to see) more of the person Kirsten is than this character has. And probably because it wasn't ever the intended outcome, it feels all the more genuine; without agenda. And I hope it sticks.
But then, lets face it: my track record in thinking I know what's coming next in this series is in the minus register...
this book drove me crazy and there is more to come !!!! People, this book is ... just ... vauuuuuuu
as soon as you start reading these series, one thing stands out - Kirsten does what Kirsten wants. and this streak is even stronger now. Brand new adventures, happy endings, troubles and headaches for our favorite redhair and a whole lot of characterless thrown into a pre-BIG-battle mess. where to start with this review ???? and what to say first? new home, new Pack, new fighting, new (old) evil bitch, new Gods/demons/supernaturals, new ass-kicking, new man drama ... sounds interesting ?!?! add to this our favorite bikers, dragon, swan, whole bunch of vampires, Gods of old, (OMG, this list is long) ... big kitties, you get our favorite Chattanooga gang and all the drama that is brewing there.
but jokes aside, as the six book in the series its challenging to keep the momentum, but Candace must posses some serious magic muse cause this series just gets better and more interesting. and the best is yet to come. this book will test your memory (thank God for the Cast of Characters) and general knowledge of some myths and history (thank you google), but all in all its a AWESOME read !! now, if you excuse me, I need to have a word with a certain author about a certain couple. happy reading !!
Book 6 in the Only Human series is here, it’s here. And that filled me with both joy and sorrow. Joy, because it’s FINALLY HERE; and sorrow because once it’s read, I’ll once again be left waiting for the next book. Bit of a Catch-22 if you ask me.
So, let’s get to it. If you haven’t taken the plunge into the world of Chattanooga Supernaturals, you need to. Candace Blevins is a superb storyteller and her ability to overlay the different timelines and stories requires the skills of a true Tetris mistress, which she succeeds at and then some. In the Only Human series (you need to start at book 1), we are witness to the growth and evolution of Kirsten (still human) as she must traverse the very sticky supernatural world where protocol, hierarchy and image often matter more than reality. In “Infinitely Human”, Kirsten is stepping back into the foray, as well as dealing with some powerful supernaturals who had their noses bent out of shape.
For me, this IS urban fantasy at its best. Ms. Blevins doesn’t apologize for what her characters need to do, and being witness to this phenomenal series as the big battle draws closer (take your time!) fills me with a level of anticipation that I rarely achieve with my reading. This is definitely storytelling at its finest.
I don’t know if I can express how excited I am when I read the continuation story of Kirsten O’Shea. This story is full of adventure, many surprises, many supernaturals and more than likely the beginning of the big fight.
Kirsten has got to be one of my favorite characters to read, she is a superwoman, she is tough but also tender, she can take it as well as give it (and boy do some of the bad guys get it!), her little family is so important, especially because now it’s growing into a Pack. Cora becomes an Alpha of her own pack and since she and Kirsten share a bond, the Pack somewhat belongs to her as well.
So many other things go down in this story, much I can’t express here because they are spoilers, but wow some of those things that happen just totally surprised me. I cannot wait for the next story, want to find out how the storyline continues in the life of Kirsten O’Shea.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
You might think that when you get to Book 6 in a series things might get a little mundane or repetitive. Well in this case you would be very wrong. The action, and there's lots of it, is new and refreshingly fast and breathtaking causing me to say out loud OMG!! and more than once. Once again Kirsten's activities has her humanity being judged. And her relationship with Cora and her pack is under a microscope from the powers that be as well. It's like a wild ride on a roller coaster and great fun! As fast as I read one book in this series or any of her other ones, I await for any hint, any blurb Ms. Blevins might give on her group page about the next one. Another winner and I loved it!I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review not necessarily a positive one.
I'm on the edge of my seat! As we approach the big battle we are all holding our breaths to see where everyone is going to land. Do we really know who is on the side of good and who will be on the side of evil? This is one of my favorite series and I don't want to see it end but I can't wait to see how everything pans out.
As usual we have a great story around Kirsten and her relationships, romantic and not. I absolutely love watching how she takes in all of the information that is constantly flowing around her. The battle between good and evil is bound to be epic but because Kirsten is fighting it good has got to come out on top, right? I guess we will see. Again one of my all time favorite series and author.
With book #6 in a series you often get a slightly faded continuation of same ol', same ol'. And then you get something like this. With every new book in this series Ms Blevins ramps up the heat, the tempo, the new developments. You really have to keep on your toes not to miss anything. The atmosphere gets more intense with every page. You can feel there is something big coming. And still, there are moments in between for family, friends, new alliances, and mending of old wounds. As always Ms Blevins weaves an all encompassing tapestry of all the forces co-mingling in this, her world. I can't get enough of this!
Gifted writer, Candace Blevins, keeps readers engaged throughout the entire series. Infinitely Human is installment 6 of the Only Human series. This is not standalone, books 1 - 5 are required reading. Infinitely Human delivers as much, if not more, than the previous books. The intrigue level is escalating with the introduction of new characters. Relationships are being revealed and changing. The to and fro of who is good and who is evil and varying degrees of each keeps you on the edge of your seat. Things are certainly heating up as we race to the big battle. I'm looking forward to the next installment.

So much going on some good some not so good but all totally AWESOME! Kristen showing she is not someone to mess with and means what she says when she tells them don't mess with the ones she loves or who she calls friends. Cora comes an Alpha and gets ready for her new pack, new shifters & vampires add to the battle and some scores settle that could have damage repercussions can't wait for the next Book. I love this series can't get enough of these characters they just grab on to you and you want them to never let you go.
Infinitely Human is quite enthralling. Candace Blevins really packed it with action, intrigue, suspense and so much more. Kirsten, Cora and all the Chattanooga supernaturals continue preparing for the war they know is coming. There are side forays and faceoffs with old allies and new enemies. This book is truly exciting and the buildup to the final chapter of the Only Human series which promises to be epic!
I've loved this series right from the first book. Always captivating story lines and never a dull moment. All the characters are amazing and I always find myself reading until long after bedtime. Always until I can't keep my eyes open anymore. Can't wait for the next in the series!!!!
Talk about a world of paranormal people all over. You never know who, what, or why they are talking to you. Kirsten has friends in high places & whether they like her or not she's important so they help!!
Let me tell you one thing though, you have to read from the beginning!!! Follow the list for reading all Series together!
An excellent continuation of the series. Kirsten hunts for a serial killer while the players become known in the coming war of light and dark. A new home for the pack with Cora, and retribution served. As Kirstens power changes and grows, she will be the power player in the coming war.
Life is changing for Kirsten and the supernatural community. The war between good and evil is coming yet life goes on. Cora is founding her pack and they have to find Kirsten’s place in or out of it. This story is high intensity action on the way to the battle yet to come. A rocking good read.
This is book 6 and it keeps getting better. Intense between some of the characters and just as you have a idea of where the author is headed she takes you down a completely different road. This series continues to be amazing
I love all books by Candace Blevins and the Only Human series is Blevins at her best. We continue getting closer to the big battle of good vs evil-full of adventure and our favorite characters this book leaves you waiting for the next one!
This book is an amazing continuation of the series. In this book we get to see both Kirsten and Cora grow .this book was amazing and I can't wait for the next one!!
Oh wow, Ms Blevins did it again. Book 6 definitely keeps you so totally engrossed from beginning to end that you won't want to put it down, I know I didn't. There is so much intrigue, twists and turns, it will keep you on the edge of your seat and blow your mind away. I loved it so much that I read it twice. Thank you Ms Blevins for making the characters so alive that you feel as if you are actually seeing the events unfold in your minds eye. Utter escapism at its best.
