Oak Grove #2

Omega Served

Rate this book
Book Two of the Oak Grove series. Can be read as a standalone.Ike is gun shy after the ordeal he recently went through with a money-grubbing omega who lied about carrying his child. Now he doesn't trust any omegas and would rather stay celibate than to risk being used again. Until he walks into The Fallen Nut on a busy night and makes a terrible decision. He hooks up with a cute omega who smells better than anyone he's ever met before.Phil is trying to have a low-key evening when he literally walks right into Ike, a sexy alpha who steals his table right from under his nose. But Phil is tired of being pushed around by alpha-holes so he slides right into the chair next to Ike and shares the table with him. If it had ended there, things might have been okay. But it didn't. And a quick hookup in the bathroom begins a cycle of events neither man ever saw coming.Omega Served is full of angst and frustration and smiles and release. If you like knotty heat that leads to a sweet baby, you'll love this installment of the Oak Grove series.

This was a fun quick read. It is low on the angst and hot on the sex.

3,5*

PLEASE READ FIRST MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings (thanks to amazon I had to change it again and 'upgrade' it a little bit.):

5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-
Away-book like 'Liberty' from Seth King,
'Save the at he kids' series from EM Leya or
'Jesse's Smile' from Angelique Jurd), it's like
an A+

4* - very good and will be often reread and is a
WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises
(like most of Andrew Grey books) it's like an A

3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few
times a year (most romances where you can
enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in
hospitals). I can recommend them definitively!
It's like an B+

3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader,
maybe 2-3 times a year. It’s like a B

2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-
reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but
it was ok). It's like a C-, D

1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too
many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an
absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole
line, dismissed, repeat the class

The next good book in the Series! Can’t wait for the next one!!!

An Alpha & an Omega meet in a bar ...

Welcome back to the Fallen Nut; where the omegas are strong & sassy, the alphas are hot, and the intensity is off the charts. I really cared about the characters. They pulled me in & wouldn't let me out. I loved this book!
Having been badly burned, alpha Ike doesn't want any omega in his life. Until he scents Phil. Until Phil becomes his intern. Until he falls in love. Phil falls hard for his delicious smelling boss. A pregnancy scare forces them to evaluate their feelings and decide what's really important.
Join Ike & Phil on their journey to HEA. It isn't always easy. But with advice from good friends & family, they will get there. Ooh, did I mention babies? Lots of babies. You will love this book!
This book is part of a series. I cannot wait to read the next book. If you haven't read book one, get it now. It will be time well spent.
This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.

Omega Served

Another enjoyable addition to the series. These are quick read stories, a little angst and a HEA. I’m looking forward to the next book!

A good, short read about an alpha not knowing what he truly wants until he almost loses it. Looking forward to this next book.

Worth it.

It can be hard to move on after a bad relationship but opening yourself up to love again can be so worth it.

This was a strange story considering Ike's omega aversion. I did think that Phil had let Ike use him which I thought was cruel. I loved that finally they had sorted everything out. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story set against the omegaverse with mature content.

Omega Served - 4.5 stars

This was another good romance set in Oak Grove and loosely connected to the bar there. It is about Ike, the brewer that won the contest in the first book, and Phil, a graduate student in the town. He and Ike have a steamy encounter at the bar, and then it turns out Phil is interning at the brewery. There are several ups and downs, but true love prevails, and the HEA is solid. I marked it down for sone continuity errors and the wrong point of view, and because I found it difficult to like Ike for most of the book. Since these are relatively short books, there didn’t seem to be time to really get to know him, and a little more back story might have made it easier to sympathize.

Ike and Phil

Ike has had a bad time. An omega he sleeps with occasionally had sued him in a paternity case. Claiming his baby is Ike’s. Phil is a graduate student who goes out with his bestie and hooks up with Ike in the bathroom. Imagine their shock when Phil shows up st Ike’s brewery as his brothers paternity replacement!
A sweet story full of angst. I enjoyed reading this book.

Leider 😕

Mistaken identity

Phil shows for work but Ike thinks he shows for something else. Ike apologies and fate takes a hand. Great reading from mistake to love!
