Maggie Regan has been through one of the most horrendous events in United States history...
Even moving as far away from the aftermath hasn't made that day fade from her memory. Nothing will ever ease the pain of losing Richard. Trey Simmons needs a distraction from city life in San Francisco and heads to beautiful Oregon. He paints to help cope with the tragic events that took his sweetheart from him. It helps some.
During one of his painting sessions at a small park, he meets Maggie. Her warm smile, soft-spoken words, and her hospitality pull him in, but she's a lot older than him. He brushes it off as just a silly feeling.
Maggie can't hide the attraction she feels when she's around Trey. The soft, yet daring hold he has on her heart alarms her. He's so much younger than her.
Can these two put aside the numbers and embrace their unwavering desire to be together or will the tragic events of the past keep them apart?

In this gentle romance set against the backdrop of one of the most horrific events in American history, two sad people find a connection they thought they would never experience again. Maggie relocates with her daughter to small town Eugene to find peace and comfort in a beautifully park-like area. Trey, similarly finds his way to Eugene where he allows the solitude to bring solace too his aching heart through his painting. Taking a chance, Maggie introduces herself to Trey and they find they have far more in common that they could have imagined. Whilst the attraction between them is strong and very real, they are faced with the difference in their ages and unresolved pain that lingers on in their hearts. However, one thing is certain: they both need to move on and rediscover themselves. The story is beautifully written, full of emotional and tentative feelings as Maggie and Trey wade through their insecurities to reach each other’s hearts. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

A sweet gentle romance featuring an older couple. After all, love is not just for the young. Maggie and Trey need to heal from the grief they have suffered. Both lost their mate in the Twin Towers. Quite an age difference but it was of no consequence to either of them. They were two lonely people that helped each other feel alive again. I highly recommend Oregon Obsession by Debbie White.

Maggie Regan is a widow whose husband died in the Twin Towers on 9/11. Unable to continue living in New York with all the reminders of the life she had; she moves to Eugene, Oregon. Trey Simmons' fiancee died in the Twin Towers on 9/11. He escaped New York by moving to San Francisco. Although it has been seventeen years neither Maggie or Trey have been able to move on. Then Trey goes to Eugene on vacation where he meets Maggie.

There is a spark between them that Maggie cannot accept. It is mainly that Trey is so much younger than her. Are these two going to be able to bypass this obstacle? You just have to read the book. This is a really great May-December romance. I loved every minute of it and hated for it to end.

I didn't read the other books in this series, but I could understand this story perfectly.
Maggie Regan lost her husband in the Twin Towers on 9/11. Not wanting to stay close to memories, she moved with her daughter from NY to Eugene, Oregon.
Trey Simmons lives in San Francisco, having suffered the loss of his fiancee during the 9/11 attacks as well.
Seventeen years after their losses, they meet in Eugene and soon begin to approach. Despite the age difference, they discover many things in common and the attraction only increases over time.
Will both give love a chance, or will the difference of age and the tragedies they have suffered prevent them from being happy?
It's a well written story with interesting characters. I recommend the reading.

What a touching story that will take you full circle with two wonderful characters that both lost people they loved during September 11th. I enjoyed the real emotions of the characters and their feelings and struggles with life and being lonely. It makes you wonder about the real victims of that day and how they are doing all these years later. I also enjoyed fate stepping in for them as they were going through the motions of life but not seeming to really participate in life. I liked the May -December romance and the surprises the author managed to weave into this poignant story. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

What a wonderful love story! Oregon Obsession by Debbie White starts in New York, briefly touching on 9/11. The book then moves to Oregon as we learn more about what happened in New York. We also learn more about the peaceful life Maggie found in Oregon.
Trey finds peace painting in the park behind Maggie's house. He is from San Francisco but also has a history in New York on 9/11. Two lonely souls accepting the past to be able to move into the future. I couldn't put this book down!

Oregon Obsession is a May-December romance with Maggie being the December. This is a touching story of two people who both lost someone significant in New York on 9/11. Neither Trey nor Maggie have really been active participants in life since that day seventeen years before our story. I love the emotions portrayed as two lonely people slowly come alive again. It was very hard to put this book down. I highly recommend this sweet romance.

Good interesting story. Not sure in this day and age if it was wise for a lady to start talking to someone she doesn't know like this in a secluded area. Not sure it was realistic, but it wasn't a bad read.

Sweet contemporary romance

Simple, quick read. The reverse May/December romance, was sweet with an interesting back story.
Having both their lives and outlook impacted by the twin tower terrorism was an interesting twist. Nice wholesome read.

This was a fun story of second chances, and finding love in unexpected places. Maggie and Trey are each living with loss and sadness and when he arrives in the park by her home and she stops to admire his painting they begin a friendship that grows into so much more. Being able to see past the age difference brings these two to a very good place, and a new life of happiness.

It was very hard to put this book down. This is a fiction book but I believe it is written so close to how the ones left behind felt and went through.
This is a touching story of two people who both lost someone significant in New York on 9/11. Maggie Regan is a widow whose husband died in the Twin Towers. Trey Simmons' fiancée died in the Twin Towers . Neither Trey nor Maggie have really been active in life since that day.
Maggie relocates to Eugene to find peace. Trey finds his way to Eugene. Maggie introduces herself to Trey and they find they have a lot in common.
We get to follow the main characters and feel their sorrow then their healing process.
This was the first book I read of Debbie's and it will not be the last.
