This book is really great. It made me goes like: OMG!! THIS ROCKSS!! JUST LIKE THE TITLE!! If you're gonna read this, don't hesitate. NEVER. DO. So, well, This is a story of a normal girl, like me, who worked at the cleaners. When she was asked to deliver a hip vest, everything goes crazy, crazY, craZY, crAZY, cRAZY, CRAZY Meeting a super star is already a dream come true, but being in the cast? IT'S TOTAL OMG! So anyways, there are a bitsy problem with that. Tasha wants Dianna to wear the vest in the video, How could she choose between Delivering the vest and not deliver then just use it? A must read for TWEENS like me! But i think i'm already a TEEN. I dunno. :)

Really cute book about middle school girls who live in New Jersey and have remarkable experiences.
Diana's father owns a dry cleaning shop and she 'works' there after school, although she can't technically work yet because she's not old enough, so she runs errands and does other odd jobs.
Diana is sent on an errand to drop off a vest for a customer when she runs into a friend from school whose father happens to be producing the music for a famous singer's new music video. Diana meets his dad and as she's leaving, gets to meet one of her favorite singers and gets to audition for the music video.
It's an easy, fun read about friendships and a bit of dating in middle school.

Diana Donato's escapades continue in the third book of the CINDERELLA CLEANERS series.

The adventure begins when Diana's father asks her to deliver an item to one of his most important clients. It's an absolutely adorable vest, and it's Diana's size. Diana promises to deliver the vest quickly and means well, but on the way, she meets Will, the boy from school that she has started to like.

When Will invites her to watch the new Tasha Kane video being made, she can't refuse! Not wanting to leave the vest unattended, she slips it on.

The vest catches Tasha's attention, and she invites Diana and her friend, Sara, to try out for her video, but she wants Diana to wear the vest. Diana must accept the repercussions of not telling her bestie, Jess, about the tryout when she did tell Sara, of having Nelson make a copy of the one-of-a- kind vest, and of possibly costing her father his biggest client. Side conflicts include her budding romance with Will and her continuing struggles with her step-mother.

As always, Maya Gold provides a fast and enjoyable story. Gold introduces thematic ideas of friendship, family, and personal responsibility as Diana must face the consequences of her rash behavior and decide what's most important in her life. The characters are ones that middle school girls, particularly, can relate to, even if their exploits are a bit out of the norm for the average kid.

11/28/10 I'm on page 121 and Will and Dianna just got into the ball, finally! When Amelia was taken to another shift, Dianna and Will almost couldn't get in, but Amelia let them in the backdoor. I think by the end of the book Dianna will get in trouble, but not for sneaking out of the house. I think this because in past books, she doesn't get in trouble for sneaking out of the house,she gets in trouble for other things. Another reason why I don't think she'll get in trouble is because she made that very convinsing set up at her house. That's my prediction on what will happen in cinderella Cleaners Mask Appeal.

I LOVED this book. I actually love all the books in the Cinderella Cleaners series, but I loved this one the most, especially because Diana gets to star in a MUSIC VIDEO WITH TASHA KANE!!! When Diana goes to deliver a super cute vest to a client from the Cinderella Cleaners, she runs into Will her crush (she won't admit that) on her way there. She figures out that his dad works for TASHA KANE the awesome pop singer. Diana gets cast in the new music video with a few bumps along the way! In the end, it all works out and Diana gets cast in the music video! I give this book 5 stars. ***** - Emmie Xoxo signing off.

Started this book forever ago then forgot about it so started rereading it last night and finished it today. Didn't enjoy it as much as the other ones. Will and Diana's relationship is the most frustrating thing in the world! They can barely talk to each other! So their relationship bugged me in this one, they did have some cute moments though. Jess was also annoying in this one. She was so dramatic and her feelings were way too flighty. Hopefully the next one is better! Also was super annoyed with Sara and Amelia for spilling the beans. Totally immature and un-loyal to Diana. Wouldn't be trusting them again! Overall it was okay book.

This book is just as great as the rest of the series. I will definitely still continue to read the last two books. Rock and Role is written for the teen age group. The writing is very effective and flows nice and is very easy to understand whats going on. I would recommend this book the Fourth through Eighth grade kids. I think it would make the most sense for this age group to read it since the main character is about their age. It would also make the most sense to them and they could relate to the things that go on in the characters life.

Rock and Role by Maya Gold is very exciting and has lots of action. I think it was really neat that Diana got to do a music video with her all time favorite singer Tasha Kane. This is a great book for people who like fiction. I wonder if Nelson will come back to the cleaners? That is why you should read Rock and Role.

I thought it was good, but it seems like it climaxed at the end , without any time to have a descent from the climax. Not one of my favorite books. And am I the only one hoping she'll get her act together and go out with Will??!!!!!!!!!

i liked this book a lot. i havent read the other "cinderella cleaners" books so i didnt know what to expect. It was very good, but i found the plot a bit unrealistic. Besides that it was really good, i liked sara.

The third installment of the Cinderella Cleaners series, Rock & Role tells the story of Diana's encounter with a vest at her family's cleaners, which she is tasked with returning to its owner, though along the way she is entangled in the life of her school friend Will Carson's life, who's father is the sound mixer for a famous pop star, Tasha Kane, that Diana loves. When Will invites her to the studio where they are recording Tasha's new song, Diana is given the opportunity to star in the accompanying music video, along with her friend Sara Parvati, the only catch is that they have to keep it a secret from everyone, including their other two best friends.

I liked this book, definitely more than the second one, likely because it focused a lot more on the relationships that Diana had with the already established characters, especially Will and Sara. Both of those characters have been noticeably absent from the series so far, considering they are her friends and all you'd think that they would've had more of a presence aside from being props for Diana's backstory. So it's nice to see that issue rectified with this one, well, somewhat, since we really don't get to see as much of those characters as I would've liked. I would've really liked to have seen them interact with each other as a little trio, which would've been cute, and individually with each other more. Like if Diana had spent more time being immersed in Sara's family restaurant, talking to her family, giving us as the audience a look into her life. Or if we would've seen Will and his father interacting with one another, talking about music, seeing Will really open up. Or best yet, if we'd have seen Sara and Will interacting with one another by themselves, like at lunch together, or in the band room, just some little moment of recognition that they have some sort of dynamic with one another would've been great.

Despite how much I liked the emphasis on Will and Sara's characters, that also brought up a bit of a problem for the book which is its cultural insensitivity, using dated, inappropriate sayings (a la the "Indian Summer" joke), having an emphasis on diversity being as bland as casting "the Indian girl," and it being implied that one of the primary reasons that Sara is nominated for the role being that she looks the most stereotypically Indian. It just is a problem in this book that the others really didn't have and it is hard to read.

This book also has a big problem with its conclusion, in how it feels disjointed, anticlimactic, and rushed. I am unsure if there was a page count that Maya Gold had to adhere to, but it definitely feels like she couldn't fit everything in that she wanted to fit in and had a good portion of the story stripped away. To talk about this more, I do need to give some spoilers though.

So the whole crux of the plot is that Diana isn't supposed to tell anyone about two things, 1. the locations of both the auditions for the music video and the shooting site of said video, and 2. the fact that Will's dad is the sound engineer for a big name celebrity. So Sara and her both make it through the audition process and are hired for the video, but Sara lets on about the secret to her best friend Amelia and both of them just let loose and start spreading the word. Aside from that being infuriating, it is resolved without any major consequences or even a word between Diana and Sara about the breach of trust, which is what is really frustrating. Outside of that, the secrets bubble bursting seems like it should be the climax of the story, but it actually isn't, the climax happens right at the end of the story when Will brings Diana's friends to the shoot to support her, but after the secret gets revealed, there is no more tension, no more build up, no more anticipation for the climactic moment. We are just cruising along through the story to the big finale moment, which isn't honestly that big to begin with, so it was disappointing to say the least.

Honestly, though, despite my grievances, this is still a really fun story. Diana and Will's blossoming romance is very cute, plus seeing Diana interact with her friends from school more was very interesting. I also really liked the scenes with step mom Fay, for once. So if you are interested in these characters and don't care much at all about the plot, I think you'll probably enjoy this one, just don't expect too much from it.

I read the first two books back when i was really young. Now, im almost 30 and just read the third one. I'm suprise by how relatable diana is. Like I've read better YA or mature books before. But reading this im suprise how well she is written, like all her internal monologue is exactly how any of us will feel if we are in her place. We might not have the same bravery to do the thing she does, but if we find ourself in her situation we will definitely think the way she think. She is relatable and likable as a main character.

Again, this addition was not as good as the first book, but I enjoyed myself while reading it. It was a good continuation of Diana and her stories. I totally recommend if you enjoyed the previous two books in this series.
