This romantic story was so easy to read that I didn't even notice when I finished the book! 🙈 The characters were sassy, funny and sexy at the same time.
It's an enemies to lovers story so the lust between Fynn and Sommar is through the roof 😈. She doesn't like him at all because of an incident that happened in the past between him and her brother. But when they both happen to find themselves stranded at the Amazon jungle because of a plane accident then they have to help each other in order to be saved.
I loved reading the struggles that they had in that jungle and I couldn't stop myself laughing with Fynn's friends. Colt and Jayce were so funny when they had to deal with all these animals while trying to find help -they were in the accident too along with Fynn and Sommar- and at the same time they were teasing Fynn and Sommar because they were fighting each other all the time 😂🙈😈
I was not disappointed with the smutt in this book, the interaction between the characters oozed lust..and since I really like steamy situations I noticed that I couldn't wait until Fynn and Sommar finally cave in their passion and fuck 🙈😈
"If you don't stop wiggling like that,I won't be able to control my natural reaction Sommar. Despite what you say with words, I know that your body wants me. So, do us both a favor and don't tempt them. Okay?"
Mixed feelings. Enemies-to-lovers romance 3.5*. The idea for this book was good and the character and scene descriptions were realistic. The storyline and the geography were imaginable and unusual, which is quite difficult to do in this genre. Sommar and Fynn have a 10-year history which didn’t end well. Being an entitled, rich, and shielded, but mostly neglected brat, Fynn became a habitual moral disappointment. Sommar, nursing her hatred for Fynn not only for her wounded pride but for the way Fynn had ruined her brother’s life are thrown together in a life-and-death struggle. How Sommer ended up in Fynn’s helicopter and subsequently his jet heading for Brazil is unfathomable. Even more so is the fact that a plane that crashes into the Brazilian rainforest, lands on the tree canopies. Their struggles to survive along with 2 of Fynn’s friends in such a dangerous environment was described at times very well, at others in a manner, far removed from reality. What I disliked about the book the most, was the atrocious English, and the fact, that the way her brother was wronged had never been addressed and resolved with Fynn. Nevertheless, Chapter 8 is incredibly funny, I roared with laughter and the book is steamy once they lose their fight to resist one another and has a nice HEA with projections into their far future, also an unusual but welcome practice. True, there were quite a few things that didn’t sit well with me about this book but equally, many aspects came across well and at times were hilariously funny and enjoyable.

Has Great Potential But May Need Better Editing I'm not certain if it was an issue with editing, but it was very difficult to get into this story because the script didn't flow for me. The language didn't feel genuine as I was reading it, and it distracted me from getting into the plot of the story. And while most novels don't follow traditional grammar rules, fragmented sentences are used to place stress on something or to demonstrate a character's thought process; however, there were a number of times where the fragments didn't seem to have an rhyme or reason. I think the premise of the story could be great, but I just couldn't get past the notes included here. The dialogue spoken between the characters seemed too formal at times which didn't seem natural.
A bit improbable: This was a fairly enjoyable enemies to lovers book however it came across as a bit immature and may appeal more to younger readers. Some of the situations and outcomes were a little improbable but it can still be an easy escape if you don't take it too seriously. I was rooting for Fynn and Sommar and although their relationship was more lust driven, I was glad when they were finally able to work things out. The story jumps right into a conversation that makes no sense. The “shock value” is supposed to capture the reader’s attention, and it may have, but it went nowhere and my confusion didn’t clear to hook me into the story line. Reading a grocery list would be more exciting than the rapid-fire fragments that drew no clear picture in my mind. Even the description of the crashing jet became tedious after a short time. Every single sentence became a new paragraph. By the time I got to the lust-driven hookup of Fynn and Sommar, I was no longer interested in either of them.
I thought this was an ok read. Even though, the accident that stuck them in the middle of a rainforest was bad, it was entertaining to see how Fynn, Sommar and their friends look for civilization. I would have liked to see what happened to the 4 after they were rescued or how they resolved the situation with Fynn and Sommar’s brother, but it seemed to just kind of end with Fynn and Sommar joining a sex club.
Very good romantic comedy It's a good story from the first chapter, between Sommar and Fynn because she hates him, he doesn't recognize her, but he takes her on a journey with his two friends, and from there, it's chaos. . The characters can be tender, insufferably comical at times (at first), but regardless, their story is unpredictable, hot and addictive to read. First of, Jayce was my favourite character!!! He had me laughing out loud so much and I would love for him to get his own book! I love the chemistry between Fynn and Sommar... and that shack scene... hot as hell!!
Love this so much and hope we see these characters in more books going forwards!!!!
There is so so so much to say about High Voltage!! First of, that opening line set up the entire book and I freaking LOVED it!!! Fynn and Sommars chemistry leaped from the page from that very first meeting and grew and grew! The steamy scenes were... gah! SO FREAKING GOOD! Excited for the BDSM book! Overtime loved this it had me laughing out loud and falling in love with them all!
This book was full of grammatical errors that were painful at times. The plot itself was not believable, characters underdeveloped, and I finished still not liking the main characters. I was hoping to love them eventually but still have no idea why she forgave him and how they really fell in love.
Enemies to lovers genre and it's pretty darn good! The chemistry between Flynn and Sommar was high level - the build up was intense and is their whole relationship. Loved the secondary characters like Colt and Jayce. The banter between them all made me laugh as did their whole situation!

Starts well with good characters then about halfway through it seems to lose its way slightly, having said that overall the storyline is quite interesting and the characters are well written it just seems to lose its oomph toward the end.

When the author commits to writing characters you can relate too it takes one page too hook you with and this storyline is one that did that for me. I enjoyed both the well developed characters to a smooth flowing storyline.

This is a fun and entertaining story about enemies to so much more. The story is about Fynn and Sommar. These two have sparks flying in this read. The two, and some others, end up stranded together in the middle of the rainforest. This is a very interesting read, some of which is not believe, but makes for a fun story.
I am relatively new to this authors work but I enjoyed this read. It did take a bit to get into the storyline. Great characters and build up from friends to lovers.
