A level 1 reader about Spider-man's Venom which thrilled my 5 yr old son. He read it several times and it's one of his favorites. What's not to love about Superheroes? A little stilted when it comes to plot, but again, my son didn't mind. As long as it gets him to read, it's okay in my book.

Children enjoy Spiderman characters. This one is scary looking.

The main character is Eddie Brock. I'd say that he was traumatized as a child and exhibits immature, narcissistic type characteristics of personality. He has it out for Spiderman for some reason. Things don't go his way. He's a sore loser. His internal festering expresses itself externally.

I hope children learn about and understand the problem with this character's personality so that they don't attempt to model it. I hope they learn how to deal with disappointment. This definitely demonstrates how a person who can't deal with disappointment ends up unable to view the world in a positive light.
