The set up is good: Duke and non-titled friend switch places for a ball, where they meet sisters, the eldest of whom is determined to marry well. Things get tricky when the ruse continues. There are many scenes of the two men deciding they need to confess, and not doing that. During this time, the two couples frequently meet, so there's lots of historical courting (though not much physical passion - which others may love as it is). Eventually the deception leads to problems, both in the relationships and externally, but everything is resolved without too much difficulty. Of course, the happy ending was expected, but I prefer when it's more of a struggle (again, others may love it as written). The epilogue shows the non-titled friend becoming heir to a title. On the one hand, cheers for the lottery win. On the other hand, that tended to cheapen what came before - the concerns of both the non-titled man and the eldest sister. Overall, the story is well written, but a little too sweet for my tastes. YMMV

The characters have been well developed and the storyline is wonderful as well. Intrigue and historical influence are just woven throughout this story. I recommend this story to readers without reservation.
Rose and Ernest are attracted to each other but until Ernest tells Rose the truth about himself and Harry there will be no happy end. Eventually all is revealed and we find two happy endings.
Loved the storyline and characters. Loved the tale of these two sisters and the two best friends. Seeing how each of these four viewed life, circumstances, and love. I couldn't put it down with out finishing it.
How to Lie Your Way into a Lady's Heart A Clean&Sweet Regency Historical Romance
This is a very good story about two friends that switch identities at a ball but meet two sisters and fall in love Rose falls for Earnest who has no title and she finds out he lied and it almost tore them apart The characters are determined and forgiving and even with twists love wins The extended epilogue is also very good as earnest finds out that he will be a duke as fate would have it A very well written story and A very clean one
