What would you do if you woke up early one morning to grab a couple of chocolate chip cookies before your parents could say no, and instead were confronted by a six-foot elf wanting those same cookies? Artie Artwald faces this dilemma and is swept into the elvesa world, which he discovers is our world with a whole different dimension to it. School, parents, and friends are put on hold as Artie takes part in a grand quest. Along the way he receives unexpected help, partakes in a new way to travel, and meets a bunch of gangster-like thugs from another planet who landed here by mistake and are making the worst of it. As the humans and elves learn a bit more about themselves, they prepare for the climactic struggle that will determine the fate of the worlda]and of chocolate chip cookies.
