Falls Village. A place to be free, to be out and proud, and to live the life he’d dreamed about for himself. Brandon Martinez had everything he wanted in the palm of his hand. The new car detail/specialty shop he co-owned was starting to make money. The ocean sprawled in all of its glory only a few miles from the new condo. And best of all, he had Nick, his fiancé and business partner at his side. Born into old money and blessed with the stunning looks of his Ojibwe ancestors, Nick Wilson embodied the definition of the perfect fiancé. Brandon could never quite believe Nick belonged to him, had proposed to him, the Latino son of an Air Force colonel. One thing stood between them and their happily ever after. An electric moment of panic and one epic omission that could bring it all down around their ears. For their first few months in Falls Village, Brandon shoved it to the back of his mind. The shop and Nick kept him busy. But, he had to tell Nick, and soon. Nick was talking an actual wedding date and building a home in the Port Dock area of Falls Village. He was trying to give Brandon the permanency and stability he craved. One phone call and the time Brandon thought he had, vanished. Would Falls Village continue to be Brandon’s safe haven, or would it become his new personal Hell?
J.T. Cheyanne resides in the beautiful state of Alabama. J.T. lives with her two sons and daughter. An avid reader since fourth grade, she has only just started writing her own stories. She also has several works in progress with a co-author. When she’s not writing, she enjoys coaching cheerleading in her local youth organization.
This book warmed my heart to be reading a beautiful story from J.T. CHEYANNE. This is an Author who can take you to beautiful places and help you to escape. Nick is a millionaire, and carries his Indian heritage proudly. His father is in the mining industry but Nick makes sure it doesn't desecrate his tribal lands. Brandon was raised all over the world as a child of the Military. He has many secrets in his life, his biggest fear is losing his family. As any couple this Author writes, I fell in love with them. I wanted to kick Brandon in the pants but you can read and find out why. I loved this book. I've missed this Author. This book is part of THE FALLS VILLAGE COLLECTION. All can be read as stand alones. Don't miss this book. It's OUTSTANDING!! I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!!!!!
This is book 10 in the Falls Village series, and I have not read any of the others. I did not think I was missing anything by not doing.
There is a bit at the front of the book, a prologue I think it is, that talks about the history of the village. I found myself skipping past that.
What I really loved about this book was that we have an established couple. Bran and Nick have been together 3 years. They are engaged. Bran, however, failed to tell his parents yet and this triggers all sorts of problems when they decide to visit.
I really felt for Nick, when he realised what Bran had not yet done. While Bran dod not actually LIE, he failed to tell Nick that he hand't told his parents about how serious their personal relationship was, as well as their professional one. But Nick loves Bran, that much is clear by the pain he is feeling, so Nick will wait it out.
I loved that Bran's parents were waiting for Bran to tell them! They KNEW! They knew a long time ago that Bran was gay and they were waiting for him.
Loved that while Nick is incredibly wealthy, he doesn't flaunt it. He uses it when he needs to.
It's a really lovely book, of knowing what you should have done, and making it all right in the end.
It's not especially explicit, but it is steamy. I loved the references to Nick's heritage, all the little traditions that he brings to the home.
I really enjoyed this, it just didn't quite hit *THAT* spot, you know??
Nick and Brandon and are very much in love. They seem to be a perfect couple and happy in their new home in Falls Village and their business is taking off. Except Brandon has a secret he thought he had time to deal with but suddenly is about to explode and ruin his perfect love. This is a book 10 of 12. I think this did stand ok on its own but you would have to know the other character is you’d read the rest and it sounds like a very good series. I enjoyed the book and loved these two characters. The setting is like a character and what holds the series together. I adored Nick and Brandon. The story is beautifully written and emotional. The storyline was interesting, and I will admit once I started the book I didn’t want to stop (I read this in one setting). I want to go back and read the rest. If you like established couples, lovely settings, coming out and an all-over beautiful romance I recommend this.
This is the 10th Book in the Falls Village Series. This series is written by RomantiConn authors. JT Cheyanne has given us a beautiful romance between Brandon Martinez and Nicholas Wilson who move to Falls Village to be free, to be out, and to start a new car detail/specialty shop together. Out of fear a huge omission on Brandon's part could end their engagement and then tragedy strikes. Will that tragedy put things in perspective for them. I love how the author weaves Nick's Ojibwe culture and beliefs into this amazing story. Will with the help of Nick's spiritual grandmother and both of their very wise mothers will Nick and Brandon find the peace they are looking for? This is a well-developed story with great depth in its characters. This is my first time reading this author but will not be the last. I really love and highly recommend this story.
I was getting so frustrated with Brandon - what was he thinking? Especially after an incredibly important part of Seth's culture was shared with him. To be honest, I would have left and not come back.
