Magic and mystery are only part of the Southern Charms of Honeysuckle Hollow…

Moonshine & Magic: Book 1

Charli Goodwin doesn’t expect her homecoming to go without a hitch—after all, she skipped town, leaving her fiancé and family without a clue as to where she was going or why. Now that she’s ready to return home, she plans to lay low and sip some of her Nana’s sweet tea while the town gossips come out to play. Unfortunately, on her first night back, Charli discovers the body of her crazy great uncle (hey, everyone has one). She suddenly finds herself at the center of a mystery that threatens the very foundations of Honeysuckle Hollow and the safety of every paranormal citizen in it—starting with Charlie herself. With the clock ticking, will Charli’s special magical talents be enough to save not only the town but her own life?

Fried Chicken & Fangs: Book 2

An upcoming election shakes up Honeysuckle. When an outspoken resident who opposes the changes to the magical small Southern town turns up dead, it’s up to Charli Goodwin and her special talents to get on the case…except her valuable magic doesn’t seem to be working. What starts as a simple search uncovers a darker layer of manipulation and sabotage. Will Charli be able to figure out who is pulling the strings before the foundations of the town are destroyed?

Sweet Tea & Spells: Book 3

Lots of changes in town and in her life, including her ex-fiancé's upcoming wedding to her cousin, have Charli Goodwin trying to be on her best behavior. But when an outsider infiltrates Honeysuckle and another death threatens to ruin more than just the future of the upcoming nuptials, Charli winds up at the center of another murder investigation. With wolf shifter Dash Channing cutting off all contact while away and Mason Clairmont making a new declaration, everything for Charli could change. Will she be able to cast her personal feelings aside to break all the rules and help capture the real killer with the detective or will more trouble be heading to the small supernatural Southern town?

Fill up your plate and grab a glass of sweet tea to enjoy this “potluck” of A Southern Charms Cozy Mystery Series books 1-3!

These are cute and entertaining stories with likable characters. However, I will not read past book 3. I do not like the overly used theme of having a main female character with two love interests competing for her attentions. That was really the only thing I disliked about the stories, though.

I love that the first 3 books are now in a box set so you can binge read them one after the other!
Moonshine & Magic:
This was a great cozy mystery and so much more, the pace was great and a story line that kept you hooked. Chari has just arrived back in town after leaving for her own reasons but is obviously wary after leaving her fiance in the lurch when she went. She hasn't even been back in town for a day before she comes across her Great uncle Tippers body and it is all down hill from there. Now Chari has to try and find Tippers killer or she will die herself from the Death curse boy is that girl a trouble magnet! There are plenty of red herrings along with twists and surprise while we go along for the ride and Charli along with Mason to work out who the killer is. You get to meet many of Charli's friends and family as well as town folk that makes you want to visit Honeysuckle Hollow.

Fried Chicken & Fangs:
Honey Suckle is still unsettled after Charli's Uncles death and now there is an Election running and depending on who wins depends if changes will be good for the Town or for those on the committee. To make things worse Charli's old Teacher is found dead and fingers are being pointed at those who are vying for a seat on the committee. As much as Charlie wants to help her magic is is not working as it should be and she doesn't know what to do but doesn't want anyone to know either. There are plenty of twists and surprises as well as lol moments like the spell phone to keep you hooked and wanting to know who is the killer and who is the thief!

Sweet Tea & Spells:
Well the time has come and Tucker and Clem are getting married so what does Charli do...attends the bridal shower cause we know thats going to go well don't we! While Charli acts as cool as a glass of sweet tea the smarmy chef Duke tries to put the moves on her as well as stealing the locals baking tricks which results in Clems cake exploding eek! Unfortunately for Duke his stay in the quaint town doesn't last long as he ends up dead and yup Charli finds him, she then decides she needs to help the Wardens as Mason is out of town and Big Willie seems out of his depths actually investigating. From here we have plenty of lol moments, tense times, twists you don't see coming, warning of changes coming to the Town and the best part Charli starting to work out who she really is and what she wants from life!!

Moonshine & Magic, written by Bella Falls and narrated by Johanna Parker, is the initial installment in Ms. Falls' Southern Charm Cozy Mystery Collection. This is a light-hearted, fun, witty, murder mystery that will keep you both riveted to your seat and laughing out loud. The characters are well done, giving this storyline a well-rounded aspect. The mystery was good, containing enough unknowns to keep my interest. I am definitely going to be spending some more time with this series to see how it goes!

Fried Chicken and Fangs, written by Bella Falls and narrated by Johanna Parker, is sure to keep you on your toes. It's a wild tale, full of danger, murder, intrigue, subterfuge, adventure and a little light romance. I love how the town really rally's together to see justice served.

Sweet Tea and Spells by Bella Falls and narrated by Johanna Parker, is and excellent addition to the series. Charli and her gang are back for more adventure when they find themselves waist deep in another murder mystery. To top it off Charli has to deal with some serious family dynamics issues. Overall, this is a good witty adventure sure to entertain you.

To me I felt like the author focused on the wrong part. I wanted to know more about people's facial expressions and less about how pretty they all looked. She also described having conversations more than actually having conversations in my opinion. And the fact that the love potions and lemonade story wasn't included, but heavily referred to in the second book bothered me as well. There wasn't really a build-up to the mystery. It was more of a wait before you go these are all the answers that I didn't tell you about at the end of the book. And I feel like the main character never takes accountability and apologizes for her mistakes. But everyone comes and apologizes to her and says "oh you were right. I'm so sorry."

Sweet Tea & Spells: Book 3: 4 stars

A superb witch & wizard mystery set that includes the first three titles in the "Southern Charms Cozy Mystery" series. Each of these stories involves Charli Goodwin solving several crimes, including murder.

These tales have a large number of colorful characters. Plenty of family love and bad blood. They are independent except for the love triangle centered around her. Quite entertaining.

Easy-to-read. Entertaining. Romantic. Scary. Tragic. Unpredictable. Whimsical. Wonderful characters.

This is a cozy mystery series full of southern charm. The characters are likable. The mysteries are intriguing and easy to follow. I will continue the series in hopes that the main character works on her major flaws. She has the bad behavior of acting like a petulant child. She engages in activities she shouldn’t (even in the magical community her behavior should be against the law) and then gets mad when her antics are frowned upon. The behavior can be a little off putting.

Absolutely wonderful writing

The writer puts together a great combination of characters and a plot that pulls you in and doesn't let go. I love trying to figure out the villain, before I read it. That's another reason why I love these books, I can't always tell who the bad person is. I would definitely recommend this series💜💜💜

Charli gives us magic and humor. Loved the opening in her helping someone, and the thoughts of curses to put on the occupants. When Karma immediately turns on her for those thoughts, delightful to have the three in a set. Returning home where the people are all magical in a some way. How she grows up and uses her special gift.

I stopped this book on the 4th chapter I could not stand the narrator for the audiobook. I’m from the south and the horrible southern accent was killing me. Also the characters were such caricatures of what people think of southern people it was irritating.

Imagine being a witch who was hexed by family and told that you had to survive "storm, fire and disaster to reach your heart's desire"...

The “will they, won’t they” with two suitors doesn’t work for me.

I liked the stories but this may be the end for me.

This was the perfect palette cleanser series for me in between some very heavy high fantasy dramas this was a cozy fun series that was a delight to read

While this was cute, the narrator's inability to do Irish or any other accent nearly ruined it for me.

Similar in some ways to the Sookie Stackhouse and Mystic Bayou series, this is a deep south murder mystery series, with a slow build love triangle romance. It was light and entertaining, which was exactly what I was in the mood for. The voicing was good, and this was free on Audible.
