Pinkie is the kind of hot punk rocker chick Quinn has always wanted, but could never make a move on. Determined to have a summer of fun before she leaves for med school, however, Quinn is itching to be bad and eager to say yes, just to see where it takes her.
But saying yes to Pinkie leads Quinn down an unexpected path of lust, submission, and doubt. And this affair is further tangled by Pinkie’s anime-obsessed recluse roommate Mimi, a geeky girl who takes a shine to Quinn.
Torn between two different women, both with their own motives, Quinn discovers that casual romance isn’t without its consequences. Will she continue to allow herself to be dominated by her desires?
That was a fun quick read. Different for me but so good. I did have a hard time figuring out the tone or how I was supposed to feel about both relationships and connections but I figured it out. That was more of a me problem because of what I usually read because of the casualness surrounding the story. I just had to find my footing and when I understood what it was, I was more comfortable.
One thing that did bum me out though was getting the door shut in my face during a lot of the sex scenes. They were super spicy but then the scene would fade to black before it barely got started. And other times it was so detailed and getting good but then it'd skip around and fast-forward to the end. You can't be that good and detailed at writing sex and then leave me hanging. It's not fair lol I will say that the one dominating scene was... phew 🥵🔥 Maybe that's why there were so many scenes cutoff because it would've been too much for the reader to handle since just that one scene almost killed me 😂
All in all, I liked the characters and the short but impactful little snippet of the MC's life. This was a new author for me and I'm so happy I found her. I'm definitely going to be reading more.
Quinn has always been a good girl and before going to med school, she wanted to have her summer of fun which means doing what she doesn't normally do - casual relationships, drugs, wearing skimpy clothing for tips at a waitressing job, and others.
The story started out slow but unraveled interesting characters. I especially liked Mimi-chan because of her affinity to anime. Though she and I are introverts, I don't have any social anxiety.
The scenes started out tame but revved up their spice level that left Quinn wanting more.
A soon be med student ,Quinn , takes off the summer before to go wild. Or so she thought. Meeting Pinkie and Meagan two other ladies both opposite of each other, but she has a good time with both. Only when she is leaving is she brought up short when Pinkie gives Quinn permission to submit to Pinkie and Pinkie only. Enjoy!
My first read by Nicolette Dane and I'm deeply intrigued. I really enjoyed this story. I honestly want a continuation to see how things pan out after she becomes a doctor. This story was so good and I really enjoyed the characters. Plan to read more in the future.
I really enjoyed this story of an unusual threesome and an awakening from the shy girl to accepting a role reversal but enjoying it. Submission never seemed so definite
I thoroughly enjoyed this well written novella. Nicolette Dane does not disappoint her faithful readers. Lesfic fans should be sure to peruse her books for an excellent selection sure to satisfy.
This book was amazing. I’ll keep this review short as it’s hard to describe it without spoilers and I never give those away, but I totally bought into all of the characters. So much so that they will be with me for a long time to come yet.
This was just very okay. I think some people would enjoy this, but I certainly didn't love it. The smut was a little lackluster and I felt like Mimi was really annoying and unrealistic. The whole virginity thing also kind of bothered me. Like the way the author handled the plot point was just weird, in my opinion. Had a couple funny parts and was a bit longer than expected for a novella, which was nice.
