I read this book in one day because I was totally hooked. It’s a story about a woman who finds out her husband is cheating with her twin sister and her sister is pregnant. The ups and down this family goes through are heart wrenching. Love comes and goes throughout the family and good times too. This story sucks you until the end. I highly recommend it 😊

The emotional rollercoaster ride that was this book had me at times mad, confused, sad , joyous , heartbroken and a little bit like WTF am I reading.
This story was engaging in alot of parts and at times left me feeling confused as things seem to jump to quickly and didn't make sense. But in saying that I loved the story and it was one that I honest to god could relate to .
Claire was a mum, to twins a nurse and married to an absolute selfish egotistical nut case . On the day of her fifteenth wedding anniversary she was called into work at the hospital and unexpectedly found out that not only was her twin sister in her surgical room but her husband Colton was with her . The Train wreck that was her marriage imploded right before her eyes and picking up the pieces left her battered and bruised. Trying to move on with her life and raising two teenagers and dealing with the aftermath of complete and utter betrayal like no other was bittersweet . As women we always ALWAYS question our selves when our significant other does us wrong and the constant what ifs and maybe I didn't do this or that or maybe I should have been more understanding etc etc etc play's on our hearts and minds when in reality we go above and beyond yet it's still not good enough for them and they use that as an excuse to do the things they do to try to justify their actions by making it seem like it's your fault when in reality they will always do what who they want how they want and when they want until they are caught red handed and consequences be damed.
I would have liked for more of a back story on why Claire's sister was so narsisitic and horrible being identical twins I thought there would have been some bond between them but her character was horrible even to her own nice and nephew . And Colton through out the entire book kept wanting to get back together with Claire even though he was in a relationship with Clarissa ? And what really through me for a six was them signing their parental rights away and give up the baby they had together yet Colton always wanting to see her and his other kids when he didn't before ? There were lots of holes but I ignored those because like I said the story of building a new life and becoming a single parent was one I could relate to after such betrayal and I loved how Claire finally got a happily ever after although going through what she went through was hard enough and I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy . I would have liked to have known why and how Carly's dad Colton blackmailed her that just didn't make sense at all and what the story was between Molly and Morgan . I've never in my life known a lawyer to help anyone they just met move house with their client and her children. But these are just my thoughts . I did like this Author's writing style and how she portrayed the characters in certain scenes I would read another book by this author again but hopefully there will be no holes and the story will blend a bit better with the characters.

This is a strong story of the strength of a woman, after one of the worst betrayals that can happen to a woman.
She picks up the pieces of her pride and her heart, and moves on and up. She doesn’t let her feelings influence those of her children, she lets them make their own decisions.
Her and her children build a life for themselves, and come out on top.
They all find happiness in their chosen ways.
Eventually, she faces that she needs to take care of the child that her ex-husband and her twin sister had together and the loss of her mother, but in the wake of the sadness, comes happiness for her, she finds her lasting kind of love and thats beats anything. Life just isn’t done with her, she finds out she has overran cancer and again with the love and support of her children and her new love, she pulls thur to live a happy life.

The Best Love Story I've Read This Year
I read all kinds of love stories, but I would place this as a true to life love story. It's something you see every once in a while in a couple you might know of, or maybe you are lucky enough to have chosen the one just made for you. This should be termed as a must read book for those who like life mixed with love. This had everything, drama, hatred, sorrow, anguish and finally love. Read this book you won't be sorry. My first time reading this author and definitely not my last time either. She going on my have to buy her books no matter what list.

everything seemed fast. Claire caught her , Colton cheating again; this time with her twin. Divorce. Her kids Carson and Carly graduate and they move to another state. It isn't until the halfway point in the book that we meet Maddox. Thats when things go fast forward. Her twin doesn't want the baby, so Claire takes her. Then a tragedy happens in the family. Maddox has become the glue that keeps Claire together. Then news from a test result upends their life. But with Maddox and her kids by her side, Claire is able to keep her strength and love strong. I would have liked to see the relationship between claire and maddox have more time.

Heart wrenching that leaves happy tears
I sobbed during half of this book...the heartache and lies Claire lived with and put up with all those years had me angry for her and at her but then she had enough of the lies and the cheating and stood her ground even though it was hard.
I'm so happy she met Maddox and he was able to tear down the walls she so badly tried to build after the heartbreak she had from Colton.
Carson, Carley and Caitlyn are amazing kids, I cant wait to read more on Carley & Xavier as well as Carson and his denial of finding the one

This is the first book I have read by R.S. James. It Begins With Goodbye starts with Claire celebrating her 15th wedding anniversary to Colton. This book starts out with a big bang and Claire proves she is one of the strongest female characters I have been introduced to in a long time. Nothing in her life seems to be easy. Every time life kicks her down - she gets back up and keeps moving forward. Claire gets her HEA with Maddox - a very special man who knows what he wants. A realistic book! I enjoyed every page.

What an amazing book!!!! Claire has had a rough marriage. She’s toughed it our for her kids but now he’s crossed the line. She’s done! Now is her time to shine and I couldn’t be more proud for her. Once she claims her life her kids and her make a serious decision and move to a better place. Maddox is an ER doc that keeps an eye on Claire. Will she y’all to him or all those bridges burned by the ex.

Oh my GOSH!!!! Claire's story is just heartwarmingly beautiful. She goes through so much with her jacka*s of a husband. Her and her children move to Colorado for a fresh start and she's determined to be strong and have a great life. The hospital where she's working is where she meets Maddox. They have a beautiful journey and one they both deserve so much. This book is so touching and sweet and in the end is the epitome of what true love is.

This was the first novel I have read by this author, but it won't be my last. Wow, this novel sucked me in from the very first page and would not let me go until the very last page. I loved Claire, she has been thru hard times but never gives up. This novel kept me on the edge of my seat I was never sure what was coming next. This novel checked all of my boxes for me I loved it.

What a wonderful book this is. I started it and couldn't put it down until I'd read it all. It made me laugh and cry. I felt so hard for Claire and her kids. She is so strong, despite everything that is thrown at her.

I have never experienced the emotions of this book. I went from wanting to throw the darn thing to crying my eyes out. This book shows you that second chances at love can be just as beautiful as the first or even better. Love this book cant wait for the next.

Story was riveting
I did enjoy the story. It was a page turner. I loved the interactions between the characters. Very strong female lead and her world gone to craziness. Glad she lost her loser husband of 14 years. Lots of family drama...

Not it.
I was unable to finish this book. There were too many mixed messages. Some of which I could not agree with. Sex negative in some places. It also felt sloppily written and hurried.

A decent start to a new writer. Some depth of character and maybe smoothing out the harshness of timelines would make future books easier to read. This was jumbled up and rushed with everything.

From the very first page the storyline pulls and in. Claire has been so much and when she finally fights for a better life there is no stopping her. I loved the book you never knew what to expect next in the story. New author to me and I will be reading more!
