ALL, To Me (opinion:)

A really silly aszed book.

Dumb, stupid, and improbable.

Terribly naive insights and statements.

All of the characters failed to inspire; all of the characters STUNK.

I especially can’t stand “the little Frenchman” who speaks “English” like a Mexican: he just does NOT translate from French. At least, not the French I spent 12 years learning. Little creep (to me) speaks only pidgin. This is after 7 years. I LOATHE this character!!!

Also, in some 7 years, it seems, he does not learn a single word. Well I say, BULLSHT. My wife was French and spoke 12 languages, including some form of Chinese.

“Louis smiled. ‘You Americans have a wonderful description of sex—making love….’”

OH! HEY YOU STUPE!! IT’S A FRENCH PHRASE, YOU STUPE!!

“Principales traductions
“Anglais Français
“make love (have sex) faire l'amour”

OH! AND MORE FROM LOUIS THE LANGUAGE BOY:

. . . “[Louis:] I got no more quick!”

“Louis nodded. ‘All black Lambdons female. Bees the same. Worker bees all female. All buzzing. Stinging. Female bees. Few males.’”

Oh, puh -LEEZE!!!!! WHAT? AFTER 7 YEARS YOU CAN’T SPEAK ENGLISH YET?

Oh! And, all, like: whoa! Entire book needs to be cancelled and deleted:

. . . “I’ve been running from those bloody Black bastards….”

Lots of weeping, tears rolling, crying and urges to vomit (these seem to be required for all “modern” fiction. You know, like male peeing scenes in “today, what’s happening” movies.)

“Her eyes filled with tears, and one tracked down her cheek.”

“His eyes glistened. Brock crying?”

“When the CIA agent glanced over at the man, he noticed tears running down his face.”

“Tears poured down her face….”

“Louis peered around her and let out an overjoyed cry before rushing to meet his friend. Another tight hug ensued, punctuated with more tears.….”

“He clenched his teeth to avoid vomiting….”

“She swallowed hard, her…croissant sandwich threatening to erupt out of her….”

OH! AND WILL THEY LAUNCH “a thermal nuclear weapon” which will not be “ready” for “four hours?” (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!)

Ignorant crappola. A major waste of my time.

At 69% read, I found myself skipping through entire sections of the book, not comprehending a word of it, not caring what happened next, and just quit reading and gave it back and forgot about it.

I wish there were a way for me to give this book ZERO stars….

Nothing is ever free. When something sounds too good to be true, it usually is...

This is a fast-paced exciting ride that's got the intensity of a thriller and the trappings of sci fi. It's a story of survival, teamwork, and learning from our mistakes. (I was going to say hubris, but...) I love the character chemistry. They seemed like real people dealing with an impossible situation and I loved how they discovered what they were made of when push came to shove. There was a real sense of a ticking clock and mortal peril that kept me on the edge of my seat and kept me reading in one sitting. Would make a heck of a movie!

This book is an interesting, intriguing, and entertaining read that I could easily see it being made into a summer blockbuster movie hit!

This book has a creative storyline, a very detailed writing style, and compelling characters.

I have always found alien stories to be a bit fascinating and thought-provoking as it’s a topic we all have about the same amount of basic information on and yet it’s remarkable to see the exciting and intriguing webs of ideas of what people think our encounters with an alien would be like and what they would look like. Everyone seems to bring something unique and limitless to the table and this author, Mr. Sells, is no different.

This particular book brought both unity and hostility from the unknown alien creatures. Furthermore, these aliens, also known as, “The Lambdons,” plan to take over our planet using biological warfare and it is now clear they have gone from friend to foe. A deep-seated worry that we all fear one day – not knowing which side to trust they’ll ultimately be on, if they ever do show up. Now it’s up to the scientists and researchers of the First Contact Team to find a way to stop the Lambdons and save our planet and all of mankind. There is just too many possible accidental spoilers and I don’t want to give too much away!!! But you definitely will want to read this book and find out what happens!! Especially the ending!!!

I liked the main character, Aster Worthington, an astrophysicist from the First Contact Team, for the most part. She was smart, strong, brave, stubborn, determined, and very dedicated to her work and research. However, at times I found her a bit annoying and overly pigheaded. She was intelligent, but not like street smart, and it was sometimes irritating to watch someone make such dumb mistakes that seemed too brainy to do so, but then she did. I still liked her, but wow… sometimes, yea I was screaming at her lol!! Also, the supporting characters held up well in their roles.

I also really liked that at the very beginning of the book there was a list of the main characters from the First Contact Team and the Government. It listed their name, job, school, training, affiliation, etc. I really like when authors take the time to provide this simple information. I feel like I’m going into the story with a little background, a heads-up of who I should be paying attention to, and it’s always there as a quick reference guide in case I need a refresher. There is a lot going on in this book as it is almost 400 pages via eBook and especially with science fiction books there is a great deal of information to be told, notably right up front. So, readers like me, who have billions of things going on and running through their head non-stop, will be pleased to have this quick reference guide so they don’t get lost while enjoying their read!

I also enjoyed that this book mostly took place in my home state – Oregon! It’s always thrilling to see my little state mentioned in a popular new book!

There are some predictable scenes. However, there are still a few very unexpected twists and turns that you won’t see coming!

All in all, I enjoyed reading this book and would absolutely recommend it! I think all science fiction readers will like this book too! So, add it to your TBR List and get to reading - you won't be disappointed!

Revelations by Robert Sells captured me from page one. The story is full of suspense and doesn’t let up for a minute. I’m normally a “mysteries only” kind of reader, but I made an exception for this book as I’ve enjoyed many of Sells’ previous titles, including Reap the Whirlwind, another story that required incredible imagination. I found Revelations to be engrossing and immensely entertaining.

Robert Sells has a background teaching physics, and his knowledge is beautifully showcased in this book. Not only is he a man of science, but he’s also one heck of a writer.

I loved his ability to put together a story from multiple points of view set over the expanse of the entire nation. His characters jumped off the page, used “true to life” genuine dialog, and made you either root for them or jeer them as the story progressed. Being invested in the characters is the most important element for this reader. If you don’t care about them, you might as well stop reading!

You have to be a bit impervious to gore in certain sections, because the nature of a fight against alien insect-like creatures must, by needs, be brutal!

My favorite characters were by far scientist Aster Worthington and the army Ranger Brock Adamson, who was assigned to help protect her and beat the teeming hive of aliens living in the giant Dome. Loved the oppositional personalities (at first) and the surprising resultant relationship.

Well done, Mr. Sells!

I have been itching to read a good Sci-Fi for a while now, and when Revelations came up as an option, I immediately jumped on board. Boy, am I glad I did! I love aliens and all things related to them. This book checked all the boxes for a favorite read of the year!

Robert Sells is a fantastic author with a talent for keeping his readers on the edge of their seat. I read this in one sitting because I just couldn’t put it down. It’s suspenseful, action-packed, and everything I was hoping it would be!

I can’t write everything I want to write because I don’t want to spoil this for you. It’s fantastic. If you love aliens and Sci-fi, you’ll love Revelations. Give it a try! I can’t wait to read more from Robert Sells. He’s definitely an author to keep an eye on.

Have you ever wondered if alien life is our there trying to contact us? This book answers that question as scientists decode a message from an alien race called the Lambdons. They promise free energy if we allow them to build a site on Earth. The author leads you through the broken promises to edge of your seat suspense as the main characters try to topple the Lambdons. I couldn't put the book down and would love to see this in a movie -kind of a cross between maze runner and hunger games excitement!!

Excellent sf novel.

Very good story. I liked the characters and how they interacted. The main premise of the story was unique. I also think the author could have written an even longer. Will there be a sequel?

Its concrete

Liked the book, but as I have noted in other reviews, that is all I will say as a previous review of mine (5star even) was censored on this platform. Also, cement is an ingredient in concrete

Robert Sells’s Revelations is not from my usual genre. That being said, I thought it was a good read. I admired the imagination of Mr Sells. I found it to be a fun read. Aster is a great character that I really enjoyed. Especially, when she was teaming up with Brock.
I am giving Revelations four stars. I believe science fiction fans would love this one. It is definitely worth a read. I look forward to read more by Robert Sells in the future.
I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion review.

I received this book for an honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Read an excerpt and follow the Goddess Fish book tour here.
This book has a lot going on—biological warfare, the intersection of religion, science, and aliens. The alien contact is a lot on its own, but then all the uncertainty of whether the aliens are friend or foe. Of course, once they start getting violent, it’s kind of obvious, but the suspense was strong. I’ll just say right now that I’d rather not find myself still alive when the hostile alien takeover happens. Unless, of course, I’m certain to survive on the unscathed Earth. Probably optimistic.
While this book’s concept is a good one, it wasn’t quite my cup of tea. The thriller aspects weren’t ones I often enjoy. Despite my curiosity about what meeting aliens would be like, I’m really not a big fan of alien books. I will say that this seemed like a well thought-out, plotted, and paced story. It just wasn’t for me.
The characters were interesting. Faced with an alien takeover, I’m not sure I would have fared as well as any of them. Okay, I definitely wouldn’t have. I thought they made some poor decisions at points, but given the amount of pressure, it was believable, if frustrating.
The religion aspects were also interesting. I was reminded a little of Dan Brown’s work. Everything came together in a fascinating way that I won’t spoil. I recommend this book for fans of thrillers who like some sci-fi or fans of sci-fi who like a real “time is ticking” plot. Like I said, this one wasn’t for me, but my reading preferences aside, it was a thought-provoking and entertaining book.
