The oldest of nine children, I was tutored at home during childhood, first by my mother and then a German woman with a passion for science and history.

I could never find enough books to keep my mind busy, even with the vast library that my father kept. I wrote my first short stories around the age of nine, and was completing full length manuscripts by the age of twelve.

I left home around fourteen or fifteen, staying with family and friends among the western States. As the years passed I continued to read everything I could lay hands on.

In adulthood I began building towards a career in criminal justice, particularly criminal psychology. I received various certifications, awards and schooling in the field before discovering parapsychology and finding myself drawn into the mystery of the mind.

A received a PhD in Parapsychology but continued working towards a future in criminal justice until a car accident in 2005 left me with a traumatic brain injury and learning how to walk again in a swimming pool.

After two years of physical therapy I knew that my body was no longer capable of supporting the rigors of the career I'd chosen. Then, when my mother discovered some of my old manuscripts in her basement, I decided to try writing once more.

I've released a couple of romance novels I wrote as a youth, but have also published some more recently completed erotica.

I have a large harddrive full of unpublished stories and novels, some from childhood and some from more recent. I hope to eventually offer them on my website (if nowhere else) to let others enjoy watching a daydreaming little girl mature into adulthood - through her writing.

I started reading this book at a disadvantages because I hadn't read any of the other books in the Blood Seductions or Dream Seductions series. It definitely would have helped to understand who Gavin and his vampire company were opposed to the Succubus Sarah was friends with and lived amongst. It would also have helped to understand just who they were fighting and why. While the love story between Gavin and Sarah is specific to this story, the fight with Adam and the tenuous alliance between the vampires and the succubus was too interwoven throughout the story to not get some of that back story.

That said, Gavin and Sarah were a couple that I liked. Gavin struggled with what he felt for Sarah and his need to protect her from himself and the virus he carries. Gavin was cautious and took many precautions to ensure Sarah wouldn't become infected herself. Sarah was confident Gavin wouldn't harm her and it was that confidence in Gavin that allowed him to finally give in to what he felt for her.

Despite coming into this series in the middle of it, I did enjoy Gavin and Sarah's story and really want to know what happens now that Ian has left to find some werewolves. I'll be looking for the next story in the series.

So this book is a continuation of the Dream Seduction series, but seen through the eyes of a vampire, Gavin. Honestly, I have not finished reading this book yet. I kept picking the book up and putting it back down. I felt really lost without having read the other part of the Dream Seduction series. I'm not sure if this book is supposed to be standalone, but it definitely didn't feel that way to me. I was getting very confused.

Now on the plus side, there does seem to be a really interesting world being built here. There are vampires and a lot of incubi - and who doesn't love them? Celeste Hall's incubi have giant wings, and she often compares them to gargoyles. If the rest of the Dream Seduction series is more focused on them, I think I will try it out.

Apparently there is a man named Adam who is a super blood (which I didn't get an answer to what that meant, in as far as I read)... But there didn't seem to be too much information given about him. He is being hunted, and he is spawning newborns all over the area. Gavin is military, Lieutenant Commander, actually. And he is heading up a task force to hunt Adam and take him down. I think...

The few scenes I read with Gavin were pretty good. He seems like an interesting vampire, but not as interesting as the incubi around him. But I don't know much about them either, so I was just lost all over the place.

I will pick this book up to finish it, but I don't think I will do it without reading some of the others that are more focused on the incubi.

Five stars!

I love vampires, they have been my obsession since I can remember, and I have to say this winged demons stole my heart in the series, but Gavin just had to exist to make it even more perfect.

I needed this vampire lover, hard and strong for battle but also loving and sensitive with her.
She is feeling out of place in the covenant and terribly lonely, when suddenly she sees him and he sees her in return, finding it impossible to forget her.
What do you do when the thing that scares you the most is also the source of incredible feelings?
Deciding she can trust him unfurls a crazy ride for both of them, taking them to the happiest places they ‘ve ever been.
The scene he realizes she is turned on by him the same way he is about her is A MA ZING!!!! So much intensity from the beginning couldn’t put it down for a second.

From Lilac Wolf and Stuff

This book is a very fast read, I read it Friday afternoon before going out to dinner with family. I didn't put a whole lot of concentration into it, but it's not my usual read.

What I did glean from this story is that it's full of adventure, drama, and it's pretty well-written. The pacing is extremely fast. I didn't know the girl was human, though. The stuff I did catch from her, I thought she was something else...I mean what human could survive a vampire attack without becoming a vampire herself?

So if you enjoy paranormal romance, I think you'll really enjoy this book. It's not really outstanding, but it's not bad either.

Love can overcome even the most fearsome of obstacles.
This is a sexy short story that will heat up the room in seconds. Be sure to have a cool drink of water close by or a Gavin of your own while reading.
This was an interesting take on vampires/incubi and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series to find out more about them. This book however was a nice introduction that definitely got me interested.
The romance between the two characters was sweet and the passion palpable. You could almost feel the heat coming from these two.
I would definitely recommend this as a light read, but if you want to find out more about these characters read the rest of the series.

This fourth instalment takes a slightly different angle on the ‘Seduction’ world as it focuses on one of the vampires rather than one of the Lilin. Sarah is being courted by the twin inccubi but has a thing for the second in command of the vampires, Gavin. Yet he is one of the creatures that nearly took her life, and he doesn’t want to hurt her.
A good yarn, with plenty of steam as you'd expect from this author, but I didn’t enjoy it as much as the others, mainly because what right-minded girl would turn down a two for one incubus deal?

Now this cover is totally hot! Gavin is a vampire and who doesn't love them? I know I do. He is the second in command and that alone is hot cause you get to see him in black military cargo fatigues and that alone is hot especially without a shirt on yum
