Parker
Life's never easy. Complicated should be my middle name. I didn't expect my life to pan out quite this way—a single dad with a crazy-ass ex—but I got used to it. I live my life for my son while taking over the family empire my father has all but walked away from. Nothing else in the world matters...

Until she walks into my hotel armed with sass, flair and a show-stopping smile.

Summer O'Shea makes me forget all the reasons I should distance myself from any more complications. The more time we spend together, the harder it is to resist her charm. All of a sudden, complicated doesn't sound all that bad.

Summer
When I moved to LA, I had one goal: graduate design school and make a career for myself.
Turns out that the City of Stars requires more than a small town savings account. Working as a bartender in Beverly Hills isn't all that bad...it should be pretty simple...

Except for him. Dedicated father. Hands on boss. Smoking hot. Totally off-limits.

Parker Hawthorne is everything I can't resist. One look and I'm gone. Head over heels and
heart over head.

It's too bad that the heart doesn't always get what it wants.

The flow was rushed. One chapter followed the other incoherently.
Up to the point I read, the hero’s little boy appearance acted as a puller trying to capture the reader’s emotions.
The development was trivial, the characters couldn’t hold my interest and I skimmed the steamy scenes.

There’s nothing better than a single dad who dotes on his child and that’s exactly who Parker is and does. He adores his son Easton who is his main priority in his life after his son’s mother is in rehab and for the time being out of both their lives.
Parker and his bartender employee Summer begin a relationship despite him not promising her anything serious for the time being. It took some time for me to warm up to them being together but once they got a deeper and emotional connection I was all in.

Need 2 Have U has a little of everything. Some angst, suspense and amazing steam. The other characters from the Sweet Wine universe make appearances, which was awesome, cause they’re very important to Parker and because of him they’ll be for Summer too. She has good connection with Easton and it was so sweet and fun seeing how their relationship evolved.
This single dad romance is a fab addition to this series.

I bow down to this writing duo. Sophie Blue and Alexandra Silva are a force to be reckoned with on their own but together they are something else. A well-oiled writing machine that balances each other’s styles perfectly. Their writing is seamless and on point. Parker and Summer’s story was soooo good. They have great chemistry and are straight fire. Single dad romances are a fave of mine. You get the softer side of the hero and this one is no exception. I adored Parker and Easton. And Summer stands true to her name. She is a breath of fresh air and is so mature beyond her years. This is a must read!!

Holy moly what an amazing story! I loved every single thing about this story, even the scary bits too. They were thrilling and exciting, even if a tad nerve-wracking!

Summer is such a breath of fresh air as a character, she is fun, colourful and creative yet hardworking, determined and has an inner strength that is commendable. I absolutely loved her! Parker on the other hand… well I liked him a lot too but there were the odd times when I wanted to kick him in the pants. 😄 Mind you he’s such an honest character that he admits his mistakes. He is a dedicated father, even if he took a tad longer to find a worthwhile partner.

Special mention must go to Easton, Parker’s son. He is the most adorable character and has been created beautifully. I really think he nearly stole the whole show. But that’s the point, these authors know how to develop fascinating and interesting characters that enhance the story making you want to read more and more.

This story explores quite a few issues that are at times quite dark even though the story itself isn’t. These are handled well and make you ponder what you would do or how you’d feel in the situation. There is a plethora of emotions throughout the book like fear, anger, disappointment, glee, happiness and surprise to name a few. But the overwhelming emotion is, of course, a feeling of love.

5 Star review of Need 2 Have U by Alexandra Silva & Sophie Blue

Both Alexandra Silva & Sophie Blue are relatively new authors to me. This was a fun and entertaining story that had me invested from the first to the last chapter. I love single parent stories and single dad Parker Hawthorne ticked all the boxes for me. He is focused and driven and loves his son, Easton fiercely. These two authors Alexandra Silva and Sophie Blue write well together. The story flows and I have no idea who wrote what, which is a sign of a writing combination who are in tune with one another.

Summer O’Shea was sassy, feisty, extremely likeable and easy to relate too. Working as a bartender in Parker’s hotel, the last thing she needs is to develop feelings for him. However the attraction that sizzles between them is intense and she finds it hard to resist the hot as sin man. For me Summer is a woman who I would love to call my friend, she brings light to what had been a long and dark road for Parker.

I loved how much he cares for Easton and the bond that Summer forges was heart warming. Need 2 Have U is a fun, steamy read and although not a long book it left me with a smile on her face.

I have only read a couple of books by Alexandra Silva and Sophia Blue but each book I have picked up, I have thoroughly enjoyed and as I love single parent romances this one was always going to be on my radar. Need 2 Have U was everything I expected and so much more and if single parent romances are your jam I urge you to one click this gem.
Parker Hawthorne only has one priority in his life and that’s his son Easton, he isn’t looking for a relationship or love because work and Easton take up all his time but the attraction he has for one of his bartenders Summer O’Shea is seriously finding it’s way into disrupting his life. The last thing Summer is looking for is a fling with her boss but we can’t always control the chemistry and attraction we have for hot as sin men who cross our paths. What follows is two people forming a bond as they find love, it’s a book with all the feels, it’s hot and steamy, it’s witty and heartwarming but more importantly it’s a book with characters you can relate to and it’s a story that will leave you smiling. Loved everything about this book and I highly recommend it to all romance lovers.

Need 2 have U was a story about finding the perfect love around the mess life can give you. This book is sweet and sexy with a touch of angst. Parker is a single dad that’s a great father and tries to do what is right for his son. Summer is full of love and color. I loved that Parker calls her rainbow girl because it’s a perfect name for her because she brings sunshine and brightness to there life.

Another great story by this duo. They definitely work well together and complement each other’s writing styles.

Enjoyable and entertaining read

From the opening chapter NEED 2 HAVE U was such an enjoyable and entertaining read. Having read the previous two books in this series, I knew there was going to be a lot of fun, drama, and romance ... I wasn't wrong.

"I swear to God, she's going to be the death of my sanity, my dignity, my composure..."

Parker Hawthorne is a single dad who was born to a privilege life; however, he has never used it to his advantage. He absolutely loves and lives for his little boy, Easton. He owns his own business, so between that and his son he is constantly busy, leaving no time for himself, let alone for a relationship. But his eyes and heart have been captivated by one of his employees. Can he take a chance on having that special someone just for him, or will his past relationship stop him from finding happiness? Parker is protective of those he loves, he's tender, caring, and extremely hot. This man is truly swoonworthy.

"It should be illegal for my boss to look so enticing. He's temptation personified. Warmth spreads through my body, and my heart rate triples in response."

Summer O'Shea, what an amazing woman she is, simply adorable. Currently studying interior design and working at a bar for income, Summer is sweet, sassy, colorful, fun-loving, hardworking and has a major crush on her boss and his son. I loved her relationship with little Easton, she always had a smile when he was nearby, and her arms open wide for him. But when it came to her boss, no matter how much she wanted him, she tried to hide her feelings for fear of being rejected ... he was her boss after all. What would happen if Summer let her feelings be known? Would the difference in their ages be a deterrent?

"I knew then, the first second I laid eyes on her, that she was incredible, and there hasn't been a day since where I've regretted my decision or thought otherwise."

Both Parker and Summer both have baggage from their pasts that still affects their lives. As they begin to understand that they can no longer hold off on their feelings, Parker's past re-emerges and threatens to pull apart their happiness. Summer also doubts herself, mainly because of her lack of relationship with her parents, she never felt good enough or that she deserved happiness in her life. I adored that they really cared for one another, and the fact that they found it extremely difficult to keep their hands off one another. Together the heat lever sizzled and steamed. I also loved their banter, their conversations, just the way in which they felt at ease together. They really were made for one another.

"There isn't a single second that goes by where I don't think about you."

NEED 2 HAVE U
was such a wonderful read, one I found very hard to put down. I loved how it showed the strength and determination people have deep inside, and how they can draw upon it in times of need. I enjoyed meeting Summer's extended family, catching up with Sebastian and Kate, and even Harrison. That man really needs his story told - I would love to see the woman who can bring him to his needs.

Once again Alexandra and Sophie have combined their talents to deliver a beautiful story to their readers hands. Definitely one that MUST BE READ.

Well, what can I say. Alexandra Silva and Sophie Blue are a good match and they know how to get you, to fall in love with their characters.

This is another great story in the Sweet Vine universe and it's about Parker and Summer (and don't forget baby Easton😍). Parker Hawthorne is a sexy single dad and devotes his life to his son Easton. Easton's mother is an addict and not in the picture at the moment. Work and caring for his son is all he does and it works for him until he hires Summer for his rooftop bar.

Summer studies interior design and works for Parker to pay for her education. Her parents are divorced, first her father left, then her mother too and she feels like she's not enough for someone to stay in her life. That's the reason she doesn't want a relationship. Until she meets her new hot boss Parker and his adorable son Easton.

It doesn't take long and they all fall hard for each other. NEED 2 Have U is the perfect title for this book because you can feel how much they need each other. And it's beautiful to see them fall in love in such a short time and how much they care for each other.

There's everything in this book: a little bit angst, a lot of feelings, humor, friendship, passion and so much love. Very well done, ladies.

I hope for Harrison and Alice's story next (oh please, let there be a story about them 😉).

I absolutely loved this book and was engaged from the very first pages and could not put it down. Parker is a single father and simply adores his son, Easton, and makes him his number one priority. Summer is sweet, sassy, and a bartender working in Parker’s hotel. Both Parker and Summer characters were easy to like, the chemistry between them was explosive, and I found myself rooting for their happily ever after. If you enjoy driven, swoony single dads and fun and sassy heroines, then you need to check out this book. Highly recommend!

I could not put this book down! Parker and Summer are on fire. I love Summer's fiesty attitude and her passion for everything in her life. Parker's love for his son and keeping him safe is swoon worthy. When the two of them get together, it's fireworks. Loved everything about this book!

“I want to own you in a way that I’ve never wanted to own a single thing in my entire existence.”

The writing duo of Alexandra Silva and Sophie Blue always guarantees a story full of love, steam and so much heart. Need 2 Have U revolves around single dad Parker and his employee, Summer. There is an undeniable connection between these two that they try to resist, but the attraction is too strong.

“What makes you my one and only type is who you are inside. There’s no one else in this entire world like you. No one could live here the way you do.”

Summer has such a big heart. She did not have an easy childhood, but she’s determined to build a brighter future for herself. She’s full of light and love and she draws people to her. Parker has been burned badly in the past and he finds it difficult to trust and let people into his world. He will protect his son at whatever the cost, but Summer breaks through the barriers around his heart. Will he be able to face his guilt from the past in order to not lose his future?

“From the moment I laid eyes on you, Sum, I knew that you were a phenomenon. You are a once-in-a-lifetime kind of adventure.”

This was one steamy read that is full of warmth, love, and a bit of angst. Parker and Summer really balance each other out and help each other grow. Easton, Parker’s son, is absolutely adorable and I loved watching his relationship with Summer develop. All in all, this was a beautiful love story that shows that no matter how complicated life is, there’s always time for love.

I’m hoping that Harrison’s story is next. I need to see the woman that brings him down!!

Need 2 Have U by Alexandra Silva and Sophia Blue is an all-out feel-good forbidden romance.  From the very first page in the prologue there is drama galore.   I enjoyed Summer and Parker and the dynamics in their relationship and their willingness to explore the one thing they shouldn’t.  The plot is somewhat predictable with a disapproving mother and a crazy ex and a single father that will do anything for his child.  It’s so well written though that the predictability does not distract from the story. Boss and employee relationships fall under the taboo but that is what makes them so spicy. Blue and Silva appear to be a very good writing team and cooperating this story seems to have come easy for them and it just flows.  With lots of ups and downs and strong characters you will just love the latest book in the Sweet Vine series (all stand alone reads).  5 stars for Need 2 Have U by Alexandra Silva and Sophia Blue.

I seriously loved this story hard, so it's safe to say that I think these two authors make a dream team so I sure hope they'll continue to write together. Parker is a single father with a scene stealing tiny human that I loved so much, so between that & his business, he has no time or inclination to have a relationship. Summer is one of his bartenders, and they have a serious connection that makes sparks fly when they're close to each other, however, she wasn't looking to get anything started with her boss but the best laid plans amirite?! They embark on something they never saw coming, and while I did love me some Parker, there was a time or two that he got on my last nerve with some of his decisions. This story had all my attention so I finished it in one sitting because I really needed to know how it would all play out. It had angst, heat, and some of the most adorable moments with Summer & Parker's son so yeah, you don't want to pass on it as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Having read Ms.Silva's work before I'm new to Ms.Blue's so i was so glad when i found out they had been joining forces! The Sweet Vine books caught my eye and i started looking forward to getting into this world. I picked this one up first. I enjoyed it!

Parker and Summer's journey got my attention! I really liked how these two were brought together and how i wasn't sure how they'd tackle things. I so enjoyed the chemistry between them and how i felt many things with both characters! I really liked what Easton brought to the story as well!

With Need 2 Have U, Ms.Silva and Ms.Blue have created such a good read! I am so looking forward to going back and reading the first two previous books from this duo!

Sophie and Alex have done it again, this dynamic duo brought Parker to life in a way they blew me away. I could;t wait for his story and these two brought their A-game. Summer was the perfect day for this sexy single dad and can I say, I did NOT see that coming at the end but it made for an entertaining read and only cemented that this two were meant to be

I cannot wait for more from this pair.

Super steamy with a touch of taboo and suspense. Parker has everything a man could want. He is wildly successful, has plenty of money and even has a beautiful son who is everything to him. A relationship with a woman? Not on his radar. Although he works with Summer (or rather she works for him - the touch of taboo), he has not really SEEN her until one scary evening during a party at his club/hotel. Summer just wants someone to love her for herself. She absolutely never wants anyone to think she is anything like her mother and therein lies the rub. She falls for Parker harder that she ever thought she would. These two are going to go through some things before they can come through the other side.

Parker and Summer have been dancing around their attraction for some time. Parker is afraid that his messed up family dynamics will scare her away, while Summer's family dynamic is the reason she doesn't believe that she would be enough for him. But as they bond and spend time together, and their attempt at casual grows serious, they realise that while love isn't always easy, it's always rewarding.

I liked the read. It started out a bit iffy for me, but as Parker and Summer's relationship deepened and began to grow, I couldn't put it down. It has a good mix of suspense, drama, humor, romance, love and steam. I immediately liked Easton, Parker's son. He was a bright star throughout the book. The epilogues were sweet, too.

I recommend this read.

This was such a sweet and spicy book. Parker and Summer are a perfect match for each other. These two have a strong connection that is hard to break and they have outstanding chemistry. I love single dad romances and Parker is a great dad who puts his son first. Easton is such a cute little boy that I just want to squeeze. Summer is sweet and kind and East and Parker adore her. There is angst, lust, love, crazy exes, a wicked witch of a mother and some really great family and friends. This story was fabulously written by two great authors and their writing flowed so well that you can’t tell that it was written by two people.

Where do I start? I’ve been waiting for this book for months and it was worth the wait. I might be biased as I love Alexandra and Sophie’s books in general but when they co-write…it can only be Ah-mazing!

I absolutely love single dad romance books and N2HU is no exception.

Parker and Summer’s story is just cute and refreshing. Even if Parker is afraid of the age difference, he soon realises how much Summer means to him and to Easton. She also falls in love with the little guy and quickly proves that she would do anything for him.Even if it means protecting him from his own mother.
Chapter 26 made me emotional not to mention Epilogue II !

You will definitely fall in love with their love story

This is a must read!

This Sweet Vine Romance world and series gives me just what I didn't know I needed. Need 2 Have U is no exception! Parker and Summer's story brings explosive chemistry and sexy times, wrapped in so much damn heart. You know what I love most? Though there is a ton of baggage and drama trying to bring these characters down, once they admit their feelings, they are in it to the end. There are no unnecessary fights, just real issues that they navigate together! Add in a few surprises along the way that will keep you guessing and Need 2 Have U is a romance that makes you giddy. 5 rainbow stars for Parker and Summer.

Need 2 Have U
By Alexandra Silva and Sophie Blue

Ok! This book is my fav of the series! Every word is so real and raw. I literally read it in a matter of hours!

“All this time, I thought we were in a whirlwind, spinning and spinning out of control, pulling in every direction except the one that this thing between us forced. Fighting. Resisting. But the rumble of the storm is only just sounding.”

Parker lives a complicated life. He has a family that is dealing with a tragedy, and beautiful son from a not so stellar ex. Seeing Summer for the first time, Parker knows there is something special about her. The more time he spends with her, the more Parker has to make her his.
Summer has seen love crumble too much in her life. Nervous to start something serious, Summer is worried she isn’t enough for Parker. But as time moves on, Summer realizes there’s more to Parker than she thought, but can she let herself fall? Can Parker allow himself to take the next step?

“There will never be another like her. No one could make the chaos as insignificant as she does. There isn’t a single soul in this universe that is as blindingly brilliant as hers. And there’s nothing I won’t do to keep her.”

Alexandra and Sophie have done it again! I am obsessed with the Sweet Vine Romance series, and Need 2 Have U is my FAV!! I completely love Parker and his son Easton. The bond Alexandra and Sophie created between the two of them, is heart-filling. Summer is a bad ass chick, that knows what she wants and when she wants it. Her connection with Parker is like fireworks going off, and every moment between the two, will have you craving more!

“I never thought it would be possible to be this happy again, but here we are. Somewhere where the past is a whisper and hope brightens every passing second.”

***Review copy requested and reviewed on behalf of OMGReads Blog***

Need 2 Have U is book three in the Sweet Vine Series. It's a single dad, friends to lovers romance that can be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading in the series order to get acquainted with the supporting characters and a little background. This story focuses on Parker and Summer.

Parker is a single dad struggling for normalcy. He's a control freak and can be really serious. He's waaay more alpha and possessive then I was expecting, not in a bad way...it was pretty hott. He's also intelligent, caring, hard working, and ambitious. He tends to be really hard on himself, has misplaced guilt and takes blame for things that were out of his control. Summer brings him peace and is a beacon of light for him.

Summer is young, hard working, reliable, down to earth, driven and motivated. She has some abandonment issues and at times it makes her insecure. She's sweet and caring and great with children. She has a huge crush but she doesn't want to be another complication in Parker's life.

Their journey was unpredictable, entertaining, complicated, emotional, and at times chaotic. Their chemistry was off the charts! Those sexy times were straight fire. I really hope his buddy Harrison is getting a book cause I'd love to see who knocks him on his butt and puts a kibosh to his playboy ways.

Need To Have You is a single dad, employer/employer forbidden romance set in the Sweet Vine Series. It’s told in a dual POV.

Parker is a single dad who dotes on his son Easton and makes him his main priority. Parker’s ex, Easton’s mum, is in rehab and is out of their lives for the time being. He’s protective of the ones he loves/cares about and he really is swoonworthy.

Summer is Parker’s employee, she works at Parker’s bar part time when she’s not in college. She’s sassy and feisty and she loves Easton like her own. She’s an easy character to relate to and her heart is full of love for nearly everyone on her life.

Parker and Summer get involved with each other despite not promising each other anything serious and eventually they realise that love can be rewarding even with a ton of baggage and drama getting in their way.

Overall I enjoyed reading this story. It’s a fun and steamy read with a bit of angst thrown into the mix. The story flows seamlessly and is beautiful to read. I loved that other characters from the sweet vine series made an appearance. I also loved how their relationship evolved throughout the story. The chemistry between them was super hot and I thought that they were perfect for each other.

Summer is working her way through school. She plans on being an interior designer but is working at a bar with a hot boss. Parker owns the bar that Summer works at. He is definitely interested in her but his life is complicated because he has a young son, Easton. Easton's mom is not really in the picture but she still manages to make things difficult. When Summer and Parker finally get together, other problems arise.
Opinion
This is a super cute book. I love the single dad aspect of it. I found that there were a few slow parts that left me wanting but overall the book was entertaining.
This is the third book in the series and I highly recommend you read them all. They can be read as stand alone books though.
Many thanks to Bare Naked Word for providing me with an ARC of this book.
