An ideal way to sample some new British, Scottish, Irish, and Australian poetry, this anthology follows on the heels of Bloodaxe's successfull 1993 Poetry With an Edge anthology. This completely new collection brings together poets who have published their first collections during the past ten years, and in many cases have done second and third books as well. New Blood clearly demonstrates that Bloodaxe isn't getting rusty with age, for here are thirty-eight of the sharpest new talents in poetry. All the poets introduce their own work.
