Blurb:
Monica had her list of attractions—big and tall, so he could pick her up and hold her against the wall.

Her attractions were just for her fantasies though, because she had no time for meeting guys, or dating, definitely not a relationship.

But love doesn’t always come as we expect it.

For Monica, it definitely didn’t.

Nick wasn’t big and tall. But he was worthy of all her fantasies.

He served her a glass of wine, and an eyeful of attraction. He believed in balance, all work and no play made for a meaningless life.

Could he convince her that you make time for what you want in life—especially love?

Unexpected, difficult, yet well worth it, Love.

The trials of wanting to succeed in your career, yet have a stable relationship, can be a battle, yet doable, when you're doing it with the one who has your heart. Nick Collins was just what the Dr. Ordered for medical student Monica White (no pun intended😉).

I loved everything about this book. The friendships, the hard work ethic, the will to succeed in spite of hardships, the love, the encouragement and much more. This was a fab story.

This was my first book of Author J. Nicholes'; certainly not my last. Highly recommend it.

This was a really good story. It was sweet, sexy, romantic, and really focused on what relationships can be like in real life. I loved the characters in this book; especially Monica's friends. They knew how to be serious, but also had fun and a sense of humor. Ummm...never understood the obsession (or requirement?) of having to have a date to a wedding though. Just seems kind of ridiculous to me.

Anyway, Nick and Monica were a sexy and fun couple. Loved their flirting and getting to know each other. I was rooting for them from the jump. But damn, I felt sorry for Nick. Every time things got a little too serious for Monica, or something happened that made her feel like having a social life caused problems, she'd drop Nick like a sack of potatoes. It was a bit frustrating to read. Nick was definitely one of the good ones. He was very understanding and tried really hard to work with her schedule, but Monica just kept giving up too easily. I wanted to shake the woman for all the back-and-forth!

I ultimately felt sorry for Monica though, because it seemed like she honestly didn't know how to handle things outside of her career. The woman may have been a genius, soon-to-be doctor, but she needed a little crash course in love and relationships and how to balance that with having a demanding career. But I loved her honesty though, or as Nick calls it her "Beautiful Mind." And Kudos to Nick for his maturity and understanding. Glad Monica finally got it together and realized that with Nick she had the perfect life balance. I was so pleased with the way things wrapped up in this book.

Monica White is very foucused on becoming a physician. She studys all the time in order to get her certification along with needing to make a decision on what kind of medicine she wants to practice. She doesn't spend time with people unless she is at the clinic and when she is not, she isn't with people she is dreaming about her mentor. One weekend she goes to the bar next door and meets the bartender who has a wonderfuld southern accent that catches her attention. She ends up attending a BBQ put on by her advisors and meets up with some classmates from college. The time spent conversating with them helps her realize she has got to make a change. She decides to spend some time getting to know Nick, the bartender more. Monica and Nick are on again - off again because she struggles with keeping personal life and a demands put on her at the clinic.
I liked this book because you see a female character who knows what she wants and doesn't just drop everything for a man. You also have Nick, don't let the fact that he is a bartender fool you. He has his MBA and has plans for his future. This is a wonderful end to the Freshman 15 series, but you don't need to have read them in order to enjoy this book.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Monica is all work and no play, until she unexpectedly meets Nick. Not exactly what she expected, but what in life is? When they take a go at a relationship, will they have the time to make it work?

This is my first read by this author and I'm glad I gave it a chance. It was a quick enjoyable sweet romance. Monica and Nick were real and relatable. Their lives and the dynamics of their relationship were plausible and so cute to watch play out. I was rooting for them as they tried to figure out a way to make it work. Nichole seems to understand the dating dynamics and I liked how she paced the plot. Nothing was rushed or dragged out. It was just perfect for the hero and heroine.

The conflict was centered around normal day issues in many relationships. So though very relatable, it wasn't as unique in a storyline; the plot didn't standout for me. I also kind of wish there was more 'details' in Nick and Monica's coupling. Guess I'm use to very steamy in that department.

If you're into sweet romances that are well-written, this is def the read for you.

Get it together

I would like to say that this is my first time reading a book from this author. I would’ve given a 5 star, but I did like the book just not the way Monica gave up so many times... sheesh.
In this book it was on again off again relationship that was to much for me. One minute Monica wanted to balance her life with Nick the next she wanted to give up. She was easily willing to give up when times got hard. I’m glad that she finally got with the program and understand that life was to short before it was to late.
I’m also glad that Nick was “kinda” understanding. Not only did he let her go but he allowed her to come back with ease every time to rekindle the love that they shared.
I thought that he was going to deliver bad news to her but turned out to be the best news of their lives.
I would recommend this book but just be prepared for a looong, yet slow drag of a beautiful ending.

Good story

Reading about the life of a busy resident and a sexy bartender who couldn't figure things out definitely felt relatable in a Grey's anatomy type way. This was a sweet love story and my first book by the author. Apparently I have catching up to do but it was definitely entertaining and I loved how even though there were other characters, the focus never left off of Monica and Nick.

Good read

Not overly exciting but satisfying none the less. It was more like reading real life dilemmas with work life balance then a true romance in the sense that there was no grand gestures or great, sickly sweet love affair going on. The on again off again got kinda old though but I enjoyed reading Monica and Nick’s story.

Okay Soooooooo Monica played herself. She gave up on Nick wayyy too much for me. Like she didn't even try at some points. Nick was a sweetie he was always willing to bend for her.

First Time

This is my first book by J. Nicole and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thoroughly love that she has a wide vocabulary and really used obscenities. I will definitely be reading more of her work.

Unexpected Love

I like how Nick and Monica met at the bar that he worked at and conversed about both being from the south. They had their challenges but in the end they worked everything out to get their HEA.

Make time for love

A good story of finding love where you least expect it. Putting what you think is your priorities first can be confusing . Glad Nick and Monica found their way to each other.

Rocky road

Nick and Monica sure had a rocky road but with perseverance they made it. This was a nice little book to remind you to prioritize what and who is important in your life. We always can find time for what’s important.

This story was amazing and took me on an emotional rollercoaster ride. I love how they both were determined to support each other in their dreams while still pursuing their own. Didn’t realize it was a series till the end, I’ve got some catching up to do.

This is a great romantic story. Two people sharing passion, but not much else because of time. Can they learn to weather the storm? I’m glad they do! Sometimes you need more than once to get it right. I’m glad Monica and Nick got it right. Solid read. ♥️♥️♥️

This story was ok but it was a little slow for me. There was something about it that I struggled with! I felt like there was a disconnect and I could never fully get into the storyline, too many break ups, make ups, just not one of my favorites!

Loved it❤️

This author never disappoints. I can read her books all day long. I have to intentionally not download them back to back because I won’t get anything done.

I loved the vulnerability of the men. I loved the great careers and no drama. I’m ready for the next series.

Rating was rounded up. This wasn’t one of my favorite books by this author. I was really drawn to the characters and thought their relationship was boring. I started it and took a little break because it wasn’t holding my interest.

Monica had a lot on her plate. She did not know how to balance things out. Without balancing things out there are things in life that will pass you by.
