A collection of mainly British and UK voice over actors/artists on their experience breaking into the industry of voice over acting. I was only able to glean a handful of tips in the way of a couple references to equipment and self management, but it's really just memoirs of artist career missteps/barriers, with a little horn tooting their social media/contact info, but we knew that would be there.

Beyond just a general lack of knowledge and understanding of what it takes getting started, one artist spoke of being a non-native English speaker, and another of perceiving cultural stigma as hurdles they faced. The rest is career advice and encouragement to newcomers, with the reoccurring theme of - seek out professional coaching, invest in quality equipment, don't be arrogant if you're already an experienced actor of another field (or not), wear many hats, etc, - in so many words.

I chuckled when Daisy Porter switched into accent, she was probably my favorite if I were to pick one to work with, and most professional too. Though all are multi-faceted professionals with multi-talent and experience. I'll say without naming, a few of the first interviewees seemed a tad scripted and rushed. I enjoyed those who came out a bit more natural and easy on the ear, regardless it was a *good read* (listen.)

Recommended if this is the kind of work you're looking to get into, or just curious about the profession and enjoy hearing peoples' stories.
