"Every young couple thinks their marriage will be the best ever; they love each other too much to fail....

"To see those hopes and that faith blasted is one of the tragedies of life—and more often than not, completely unnecessary.

"The road from romantic love to mature love is not well enough marked out....You need to know the truth of real love in order to see when you are missing the way.

"There is an open secret for true love.... "This book is about that secret."

Despite the fact that this book in some ways is now quite dated, there are certainly aspects of Anna Mow's advice to marriage that remain helpful and relevant to married life today. With her typical down-to-earth writing style and interesting storytelling, Mow gives advice to the newly married about managing expectations and how to bring two lives together. Her advice is both spiritual and practical.
