Objections Overruled

Rate this book
KAITI CHANCELLOR
was at the top of the legal profession; the proof was that she had been asked to defend a very important client in a very important murder trial. She knew she could save her client, but could she save her heart?

TOR ANGERMAN
was the man who would oppose her before the bench, but it was the hours outside court that frightened Kaiti. She was counsel for the defense, but her own defenses fell to pieces at the power Tor held over her -- because once they had been husband and wife, and in Kaiti's traitorous heart, nothing had changed.

The H&h's backstory could have been fleshed out a bit more. The conflicts were too vague to gauge on why and when exactly did they break up.
