In faraway Nullaboo, Gemma’s looking for march flies for her school science project. But wait, that’s not a feather in Gemma’s special bug catcher ... It’s a fairy! The fairies need Gemma’s help, and she is determined to save the colony from the silver spiders. But when the secret gets out, there’s a huge hullabaloo. Before long, the fairy colony is under threat from something bigger and more evil. Only Gemma can put things right. Well, Gemma and her tiny country community, who are always ready to help a neighbour.

Wise, witty, perfectly pitched book for younger readers. Nullaboo Hullabaloo also retains some of the thrilling elements of her four books for older readers.

I also love how the book shows the value of community in Nullaboo.

I loved this. Admittedly I wasn't sure if this was my thing as I have read Fleur's other 4 books and really enjoyed the intensity and mystery of them. Nullaboo I wasn't to sure about, but Fleur didn't disappoint. There was the same feel thru this just with a younger feel. This is great for kids and I think even adults would enjoy this..... especially if you are already a Fleur Ferris devotee like me.

I love this book! It’s big read but it brings out my childhood self, with the fairy side of the novel :)
