Liss Six years ago, my brother knelt to “Mad” Mariusz Sokolov, and brokered me as part of an uneasy truce between our criminal families. Now the Russian wants what’s his. And he has sent his most loyal man to collect. I’m supposed to marry the reigning mafia king of our city – so why is it that I can’t keep away from his dark and brutal Lieutenant? My traitorous body is betraying me, and I find myself drawn further and further into The Lieutenant’s darkness. I think he might be the only one who can save me from Mariusz’s cruelty. But I don’t know if he can control the fury which rages inside of him, and I think that he might just need me to help save him from himself. The Lieutenant From the minute I saw Liselle Marchesi, I wanted to hurt her. I can’t help my nature. It’s just the way that I was trained to be. But when I look into those amber eyes, I know that she has her own demons. Demons who desperately want to come out and play. She wants me to help her to escape from Mariusz. And I might just be tempted to do it. Although, once I allow Liselle to step inside my own personal hell – I’m not sure that I’m going to be able to give her up! This is a standalone, dark romance novel which contains sex, some violence, and strong language.
Omg...I just finished the "Given to madness " Again a truly wonderful experience. You can capture the emotions really well and it goes deep Inside of the bones. I've fallen for she falls at first but this was equally exquisite. Thank you for your imagination. However I've fallen for another member of the five. 😊
Well I have to say this bad me scratching my head The plot was a bit odd and was bland. Trigger warnings: r@pe, non con (Just putting that out there) The FMC is promised to a Russian gangster. Said gangster sends for her and she gets picked up by his second in command/bodyguard (MC). His bodyguard warns FMC of what she is getting into, while also developing an attachment to her and wants to protect her. Gangster has a hold on both main characters because respective families’ lives are at stake. But gangster pretty much let’s MC have her, since gangster never cared for her. The bodyguard’s character just didn’t seem consistent. Cold blooded one moment, mushy with feels the next and back again. I had a hard time reading this, being that FMC was in first person, while MC is in third person. Never seen that before. The ending: does MC die or not?? One paragraph mentions so, then magically shows up…what’s going on there? This could have been better with a good proofread.
