I'm learning everything from a bunch of guys who've promised to protect me.
No owl dropped a letter inviting me to the most famous secret school for witches in the whole world.
The trouble is, all witches are not the same.
I have unique abilities and I'm not sure I can master them in time.

Here are some facts that go
By the way, all that witch killing in history was not on.
I'm not sure about vampires. I've been told they're like vermin, even vegetarians should approve of killing them. I'm not totally convinced though.
The human part of me can't accept that my vampire lover, Varu, is a monster who should be put to death along with all of his kind.
I think vampires are just misunderstood.

This was a definite improvement over book 1. There is more back story about some of the characters, new characters that have an impact on Malka and the possible coven. One thing that has been bugging me is that Beck was so resentful of Malka and insecure about his relationship with Haydyn it just seems liked this should be coming from Malka more than him. He is established as the boyfriend and knows that he is loved and has been there and living with him for almost a decade. Malka on the other hand has been 100% alone and has no idea where she fits in. She's basically stepping in the middle of a major love affair after being ignored and left alone. I have trouble believing that they just left her all by herself for so long, with the exception of the Air's following her around, but never interfering (almost never). If I were in her shoes, I wouldn't want to come into that. She's the outsider from everyone. Beck has Veru and Haydyn, with him and Haydyn being deeply in love. How can she compete or even join that? That is the part that isn't coming through for me.

This well-written Book 2 in the Elemental Reverse Harem Quartet Series is a fast-paced, reverse harem story with loads of crazy drama, a lot of suspense, twists and turns. This story has well crafted characters that have good chemistry. These characters have been crafted with unique personalities and grow throughout the story. This is a must read from a great Author. The series features:
Witches, magic, and vampires.
A kick-ass woman at the heart of the story.
Bisexual characters in a reverse harem romance.
More explicit MMF scenes than you can wave witch's wand at.

This was my first time reading this series so I had to read the first book. Malka still didn’t understand the gravity of her situation. She was more focused with sex than the reality going around her. Which I see was the same for Beck before he knew what he was so maybe it was a common thing. But they are both so hot together so waiting to see how it is with the other elementals. It seems it will take something extreme for Malka to see what she is up against.

This book is the second in the series, and continues the story of the witch Malka. A lot of the appealing things about the first book are present here as well: there's a solid balance of plot and steam, the character development is interesting and the way the story unfolds is intriguing and definitely left me invested in finding out what comes next.

This second book in the series, I felt was a little better laid out plot-wise. It didn't have that rushed feeling that I got in the first book and I wasn't always feeling like I was lost. There is still a lot of steamy scenes as the plot develops and the characters work their way through complex relationships. It is definitely a story that will keep you on your toes.

This book comes to us from the perspective of Beck & Malka.

It gives more insight into what's going on, because Beck has more knowledge and know how about the world of Magic into which Malka has just entered.

This book does push the story line further building it up for book 3.
