Logan Kade is the shit and everyone knows it. However; he often hides under his cool the sadness of his past. His parents are not perfect and he resents them so that he has trouble trusting people. He and Mason are it; they have their family which is basically both of them, Sam and Nate. No one else enters their trust family circle unless they earn it.
Taylor Bruce recently moved to the same college that Logan attends. Her father is the football coach at the university. Taylor has issues of her own; she don't trust easily and don't let anyone in after her high school sweetheart left her and abandon her when she most needed him the most. After the death of her mother she decided to move with her father however; she feels like he had abandon her as well. He just couldn't handled his wife's death and in the process distanced himself from Taylor working all the time and not making time for her. Taylor and Logan shared a class together and she tries her best not to get intimidated by him.
Logan first meets Taylor at a party and he couldn't helped noticing her. She was about to defend Sam from trouble and he knew that only trust worthy people do that. He wanted to know this girl that would put her life in the line to protect his family. Logan is not a chaser but with Taylor he was different he couldn't explain it. She could see thru his cockiness and soon finds out she was right. They were both damaged and in need of the same thing love and trust. I really wished Taylor was a bit more of a badass like Sam but she still worked for me. I liked her and Logan they both worked perfect for each other.
This was another great read full of action and I love the Kade's so much. Logan was able to protect Taylor from herself and made her part of their trust family. Sam and Mason were so supported as well I loved how they all took care of each other and took charge when they needed to. I am looking forward for more of the Kades on the next book in the series.

This is the most disgusting shit I’ve ever read! First Logan was just gross in general about woman for most of the book.
BUT……..
Logan opens up to Taylor at about 80% and because she needs time and pushes him away he goes back to his manwhore ways legit 1 Hour later and then has a fuck fest for a month for w OW.
Oh but it’s ok cause he is hurt🙄🖕🏻.
FUCK YOU TIJAN! Logan was never a great hero we knew he was a whore but I thought he would have changed…. Maybe 🤔 I don’t know… had character growth🤷🏼♀️ ya know things that good authors usually do

I loved this one! I couldn't wait to meet the girl that was going to tame the partying sex machine Logan Kade!

So she broke it off, boo hoo, and how does he show that he has deep feelings for her? Oh, that's right, he spends the next month screwing around non stop, because you know, he's so "broken". The Hero: Logan Kade (#sexmachine) - if you have ever read any of the Fallen Crest series, you know Logan and probably love him. He is cocky, self-assured, hot as hell and hilarious to boot. He is the total package. He is good at sports, a loyal friend and brother and is always very popular with the ladies. He is the guy other guys want to be and all the girls want. He has had two serious girlfriends in the past, though hurt his family by telling his brother Mason that Logan was in love with Mason’s girl Sam. Though Logan thought of her as a friend and sister. Now he loved sex, loved to party and loved to fight.
The heroine: Taylor Bruce - she lived with her father, who was a coach for Cain University since her mother died last year. Taylor and her dad have just been roommates and nothing else. Her father has changed and had dates come to the house and rarely talked to Taylor. Taylor just started at Cain University as a transfer freshman. Taylor had a steady boyfriend through high school until the day her mother died.
The Story: Taylor and two of her friends show up at a party. Her friend Jason was worried that the Logan Kade would be there since the guy he used to work for had a run in with Logan the previous year. Logan was at the party and there was nearly a fight, though not between Jason and Logan but it was enough to pique Taylor’s interest about Logan.
The characters were great, especially Logan, Mason, Sam and Nate. Taylor was a bit boring for my tastes. I thought someone who caught the eye of Logan Kade and kept it on her would be more special in some way. Maybe a bit fiercer and funnier. The storyline about her mother’s death was a bit of a downer, I wished she had a different backstory as well. Though overall, the book held my interest. I just expected so much from Logan’s book, that it was a bit of a letdown. I did love the Loganisms and his overall attitude most of the time.
This was the second time I read the book, the first time on Kindle and this time via audiobook. I read it first in 2018, so it has been nearly 6 years. I think I liked it better the first time, since I read it with the rest of the Fallen Crest series. Though I did still love it this time. Logan is so cool. He is hilariously funny, sexy and fiercely protective of everyone he loves. The ultimate Alpha male with a heart of gold. If only he wasn’t such a Manwhore in previous books. Though once he starts dating a girl he doesn’t cheat, he did learn well from the sins of his father.
This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Summer Morton and Graham Halstead. At first, I thought Graham Halstead was ok, but not one of my favorite male narrators. His voice was not deep enough for my liking and just not sexy enough for Logan. Though after a while the snarky/cocky quality of his voice really grew on me, and I liked it quite a bit. Summer Morton has a great voice and is terrific at showing emotion through her voice.

Girl, I am so pissed you could fry a damn egg on my forehead.
WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?
The starting and middle of the book is what we all anticipated from the start. Angst, drama and a whole load of "Logan Motherf***ing Kade". Everything I wanted in this book was there.
I enjoyed the other books and was counting down the days for this to finally come out, heck, I lost sleep over this.
But to have those scenes of Logan going back to his old ways nearing the end of the book? Wow. Disappointment shots all round.
Basically him and the heroine have one of those breakdown moments nearing the end, and that's when this book took a dive for me and I just lay in bed thinking to myself "There's no way in hell Logan's going to go backwards, right?"
WRONG
I'm just really disappointed that this is what happened to his character. Maybe I misread his characteristics wrong in all the previous books but I painted an image of Logan as being, well, the obvious, manwhore. But he always seemed tougher and more thick skinned than what I read during his quarrel with the heroine.
I did not expect this extra side of bitterness in this book otherwise I never would have bought the damn thing. I would still recommend you guys read this, but only if you're not a possessive b***h like me. :D

Honestly to say- I was disappointed. Not with Logan, he is same devil like always, but with heroine. When I read end of last book, I expected that we will have some badass heroine. We got heroine with a lot of problems, and one of them being antisocial. I think the biggest problem was that I expected more.

I'm not even big fan of this series, but I do love Logan. I'm not sure if he is only reason that I'm continuing to read this series. Especially when only books I liked her are first and third one.
Still, we have a lot of nice scenes and I was really glad with how long this book was.

I expected some short novela, but we got full long book. The next thing I liked is that Taylor (our h) is studying to be nurse. Because I'm studying for a same thing it was really nice part, even if that wasn't talked a lot in books. But there was one quote that one of my professors always say:
You are the glue between the patient, the family, the doctor.
I did ask myself is studying for a nurse in America really like it was described in book. No offence but I think that we have much more practice here, and I'm only in high school.
But about book- yes disappointment is first in my mind when I think about this book.

I expected some short novela, but we got full long book. The next thing I liked is that Taylor (our h) is studying to be nurse. Because I'm studying for a same thing it was really nice part, even if that wasn't talked a lot in books. But there was one quote that one of my professors always say:
You are the glue between the patient, the family, the doctor.
I did ask myself is studying for a nurse in America really like it was described in book. No offence but I think that we have much more practice here, and I'm only in high school.
But about book- yes disappointment is first in my mind when I think about this book.

I’ve been waiting for a Logan Kade book for so long! I love reading Mason and Sam’s books and I know we get tons of Logan in those, but I really wanted to see him meet the right person and fall in love. He found that person in Taylor and it was so great to watch. Taylor was such a likable heroine. I enjoyed this one a lot and can’t wait to get to the last few books in the series!

I always believe Logan Kade always was the highlight of the story. He was a manwhore after his first love broke his heart, however it went deeper than that as this story told his version of why Logan was who he was. Logan was a Kade an always brought the party to the party, people respected and looked up to him, he was an alpha through and through. He was popular and commanded attention once he entered a room, he was Logan motherfucking Kade, he had his own loganism's and #'s. Everyone wanted in with Logan because once you were in he was protective and loving (but don't tell Logan that), Loyal to a fault. He loved his brother Mason and his sister Sam. Now Taylor the only girl he let in I just want Nate to get a story now, so he want be so alone.

I really enjoyed this! It felt good to step back into the Logan/Mason world.... And the writing felt like authentic Tijan from my first peek into the Fallen Crest series. Recommend highly to all Tijan and Fallen Crest fans.

It didn't work for me. I'm really sorry to say that, but my expectations were too high and the story didn't even come close to them. There's nothing intrinsically wrong with it. I simply didn't connect with the characters or the plot.
I love Logan in the Fallen Crest series. He's my favorite character there. He wasn't in this one. I had hoped that getting inside his head would reveal the sensitive, tortured soul we glimpsed in FC. But all I saw here was a shallow, immature shadow of the man I'd hoped to meet.
Where in the world did Taylor come from? That really threw me. She's a brand new character and I didn't get the depth from her that I needed. Even though her back story was horrific, I didn't get emotionally invested. I felt like I didn't have time to get invested. Unfortunately, I didn't even feel curious. The only character that I'm even remotely curious about is Eric.
Overall I felt like the setting and characters' actions were unrealistic so I couldn't really connect. However, I can't give it any less than 3 stars because the writing is great, the editing spot-on and ... well ... I did get to see Logan again. So, yeah, there you have it. Probably one of the most unpopular reviews you'll find on this book. *shrug*

Oh, shit!!! I needed to push this, fast....
and fast it was BUT I didn't get anything new from this...
Logan and Taylor's story felt like a sloppy version of Mason and Sam's relationship.
so, bummer for me...
that's all I am gonna say here, cause I am a bit disappointed...
but i am giving it a fair rating, though..even if it did leave me in a sort of a meeeh state.

Oh, how I wanted this book. I built it pretty big in my mind. It was closure on Logan after Sam and Mason settled down happily. Nate still had his bar buddy and Logan was still manwhore. All was right. Then Taylor came along. I didn't dislike her but she was so damaged from her trauma the previous year. I can't even imagine. It would seem like this would just being Logan down where it actually brought him forward. Must of been time/the right person....only I didn't feel it. I really think I wanted for Logan a dynamic counterpart. It seemed like there was an introductory period and then they slept together for a month. Once they emerged from their love fest it was boring. Face it, with Mason out of the picture it was just going to be boring. Logan was the "middle" child. Mason was the trail blazer, the leader, and once he was with Sam and settled the dynamics changed too much for my interest.
To me the book just seemed forced to conclusion. There was no real good bad guys but a few minor bad guys. Her friends were vague...her dad was vague, even a job she gets is vague (why created as it never really featured?), the ex-boyfriend was vague....
The other books in the series were a bit over the top but they were not vague. Maybe I just miss Mason.

Yes Mason and Logan Kade
I honestly don't know what to say to praise this except it's TIJAN and the KADES, enough said. This has been a series I probably would have never checked out had it not been for the 1st book Fallen Crest High... that was free on Amazon, a LONG time ago for me. I don't think Tijan can be topped when it comes to a HS+ series. There is only one other author which I will not mention a name openly (you can ask personally) that gives Mason some competition yet they have some similarity yet not. It's hard to explain. His name is Keiran Masters. But about Logan. He is the same cocky hilarious Kade we know and I loved the shit out of him. Logan is sexy in his own right. Tijan... you're the shit!

I'm not sure how to rate this one. I genuinely enjoyed it up until the last chapter or so. And we all know why. Logan Kade meets a girl who he becomes friends with before becoming lovers. And I liked it. I like the dance between he and Taylor. I liked he found someone he could finally be totally honest with and unburden himself to. I like that Taylor didn't put up with the persona he showed the rest of the world and demanded more from him. But when the moment of truth comes-that point when we see if the protagonist actually learned something, he fails. He devolves and becomes nothing more than the player we were assured was just an act. It didn't even take an hr for him to toss everything away and throw himself the biggest pity party ever. And when Taylor sees evidence of the rumors, what does she do? She blames herself. She drove it to him. She forgives him.

A VERY low three stars. A disappointment. I expected more from Logan and I expected more from Tijan as an author.
It just felt awkward and the romance felt forced. Logan behavior when they broke up was hard to believe and then the heroine did not even say anything. When she decided she wanted to get back together, he did not even have to apologize.
And then Sam's behavior was not Sam. And then why was Heather there in the end??? The heroine already saw Logan sleep around with everything that walked so bringing in Heather felt like another smack in the face. If I did not read Crest Fallen before this book, I would think that whole crowd were just odd.

Update: yup, it was totally worth reading! And while Taylor isn't on the same scale as Sam, she's close enough.

3.5 ⭐️ So this wasn’t my favorite of the series but I still ended up liking it. It was just a bit slow in the beginning. I wasn’t crazy about Logan’s actions during one part of the story but I don’t blame him either. I think the way he handled the situation was kinda weak but I also understood with things that happened to him in the past with his family and with Tate the b$tch!! I’m very curious to see the new dynamic now that Logan is “wifed” up. Will they be the fearsome fivesome now or will Taylor feel like an outsider?

Quick reread because I never left a review, and I stumbled upon A Kade Christmas on Christmas and wanted to refresh my Logan Taylor backstory. This one isn’t my favorite, I’m not sure what it is because Logan is one of my favorite characters, but this didn’t work for me.
It took forever for me to get into it. I didn’t love Taylor here, and Logan was a mess. Loads of OTT emotional teen angst and not enough action for me.

I am a HUGE Tijan fan. Seriously. The Fallen Crest series and all of its characters are some of my all-time favourites. I have read many of her books, and I don’t think I’ve ever rated any of them less than 3 stars.
With that being said, it pains me to admit that I struggled with this book. I wouldn’t say I hated it, but I didn’t particularly like it either. And I was so looking forward to Logan’s book! But it just didn’t work for me…

It was sweet seeing Logan’s gentle side. He was his usual smart-ass, manwhore self, but when his tender side came out, he was fairly irresistible.

I’ve always been a fan of Tijan’s writing, but I’m getting sick to death of reading about people’s 'walls' - 'I was seeing inside his walls', 'his wall fell away', 'my wall went up' - wall, wall, fucking wall. I’m so bored of that expression. And what the fuck is it anyway? I’ve never seen a frickin wall in somebody’s eyes!
While I’m on the hate train, I’m also sick of the girls in her stories being bitchy for no reason. I’ve always loved Sam’s tough side, but Taylor was too much like Sam. She was basically Sam 2.0 (She was even a runner). In all of Tijan's books that I have read, the heroines have had this bitchiness in common. They can turn an innocent question or a kind gesture from another person into something that person comes to regret. I’m bored of that too. Why can’t she write a heroine that’s semi-nice and undamaged for once?
As usual I didn’t find the ‘jokes’ to be funny. I don’t know what it is, but whenever these characters say something that is supposed to be funny, the joke goes right over my head. I also feel like the characters inner-monologues always sound the same.
I didn’t care for the direction this stories drama went (the gambling and the gangs). It was too much of a stretch for me and felt too far removed from Taylor. I wasn’t really sure how I felt about the other drama, with Taylor and her ex. What was with all the guns? I wasn’t into it. It was too much. And Taylor’s ex being brought into the story felt unnecessary.
I honestly couldn’t understand why Logan fell for Taylor. They just seemed to hook up and that was that… I felt no real fire between them like I did with Mason and Sam. Or maybe that was the problem, no couple can compare to Sam and Mase for me. I simply didn’t care for Logan and Taylor as a couple.
Logan was a pig for returning to his manwhoring ways. Nuff said.
Heathers cameo at the end felt weird for me. Could a girlfriend truly be so selfless as to make her boyfriends ex bedmate feel good about herself, by mentioning she was ‘special’ among her man’s past conquests? I don’t think so…
Not enough Mason! Sam featured in the story, but she was rarely with Mason and I missed him.
Final Thoughts
I struggled to finish this one. I actually paused to read another book halfway through, because I was bored. I love this series, but I think from now on I’ll just stick to Mason and Sam’s storyline. I like to think of Logan as the cheeky younger brother with the former crush on his future step-sister/sister-in-law. That’s when he’s his most fun! Not when he’s clinging to his new girlfriend and ditching his family to spend time with her. I think I just like the idea of him being forever single! Lol. But seriously… I’m disappointed I didn’t love this story. On the bright side though, now we’re one step closer to the next Fallen Crest book - I can’t wait!

I get it. Logan is not Mason. I've always felt Logan is the most damaged out of all of them so yes, I do get why the author didn't mimic them. I just loved the instant bond we saw with those two that I was hoping for the same here.
We still have tons of drama but for once it was Taylor and her friend Jason's drama and not really anything with the Kades. I think Nate needs to find his soulmate next.
