Synth
Boyd White is stuck. He's just another fourteen year who's getting tired of living with his parents. Only he's in the middle of the asteroid belt with a virtual reality room, called a Synth, inside.
Boyd wants out and he'll do what it takes to get back to Earth again. It's coming up on two years in space, millions of miles away from everyone he ever knew.
After school every day, he uses his synth to play a fully immersive, fantasy adventure game called Cave of Souls. When the yearly premier quest is announced, along with a massive amount of prize money, Boyd has found his chance to get his parents out of their predatory contracts with the Megalith asteroid mining corporation.
Along the way, he will make new friends, assemble a list of enemies, and discover parts of himself he never knew existed as he makes his way through the treacherous and deceptive fantasy world of Evernost.
