Her award-winning pop-up books with illustrator Jennie Maizels and her collaborations with the Eden Project in Cornwall, England, are among her most popular works.

She died at age 55 from cancer.

It includes remarkable photographs, it uses captions and glossary to deepen the understanding of pupils about non-fiction facts and unfamiliar vocabulary, contents and index pages to find particular facts in the book, colours to make it stimulating, and headings to organise the text.
