擬獣化人たちのＳＦ設定な話でストーリーは王道ですが、身分違いのすれ違い設定というのはスラッシュ小説で読んだのはこれが初めてというのもあり新鮮です。それに、設定も話もしっかり書けていて良かったです。

あらすじは、年上の虎人とハーフ虎人の若い恋人同士が、ハーフ虎人の片親が誰なのか分かったことをきっかけに二人は身分違いな関係になってしまい、年上の虎人が泣く泣く心を鬼にしてハーフ虎人のために二人の関係を終わらせ、それから数十年して二人は再会するという展開。

このハーフ虎人は、年上の虎人が自分を裏切ったと誤解しているのに対し、年上の虎人はハーフ虎人が自分の真意を分かっていないことに悲しみ腹立っていて、二人は再会後も対立するんですが、私はこうゆう悲しいすれ違い話にとても弱いので、読んでいて泣いてしまいました。

ラストはハッピーエンドなので、擬獣化人たち設定がＯＫで、王道なすれ違いが好きならお勧め。
ちなみに、この話はシリーズものの一つですが、単独で読んでもほぼＯＫです。でも、順番に読む方がこの話を読むときに深みが増すと思います。
注意点としては、ＳＦ設定なので見慣れない単語がよく出てきてちょっと読みにくいです。
