Okay yeah I'm done with this series.

It's frustrating because it's filled with fun characters and interesting worldbuilding. The story follows a reincarnated hitman in a high schooler's body with amnesia who teams up with a demon to get revenge on the yakuza group who killed his family. They join forces with other hitmen/demon teams, and a hacker who cosplays on the side. There's also a funny love triangle between the main character, the muscle-bound athletic classmate, and...his sister.

However, all the fun and compelling elements of the series is all secondary to the graphic sexual violence. The modus operandi of Succubus and Hitman is being "edgy" by depicting depraved acts of murder, torture, rape and occasionally, all three.

It's a shame because if this was toned down several notches it could have been a really great manga.

I was very happy with how much better this book was than volume 1. The plot thickened and the violence kept coming. I’m excited for volume 3, I couldn’t put this one down once I started reading.

The stakes make this volume of Succubus and Hitman worthwhile as lot goes on that will make you want to stay strapped on to see what's next for the beautiful succubus Armelina and her proxy hitman, and like the last volume, the artwork (including panels with pretty female characters) work is top notch. However, the prisoner torture moment in the later half of the book is so off putting in terms of execution that it'll have you debating with yourself for days on whether or not to go any further in reading the series. Worth the read if you like supernatural action stuff and sexy scantily-clad women, but it's best for you rent a copy from a library instead of buying one at a book store.

In the comments of book 1, the author said he was about to "totally blow off the brakes when it comes to violence and eroticism" and he does deliver! The eroticism (which almost turns to hentai in several scenes) goes through the roof in this volume, while the level of violence (explicit and not, human and hellish, including sexual violence), gore and bizarre characters, already high in the first volume, keeps rising.

This series is still an interesting take on the demon and reaper theme, but absolutely not for squeamish people or those with weak stomachs.

Plot intensifies, more lewd stuff, more violence, what’s not to love with more! I love how this series characters feel very personal, interesting and have unique quirks. Each proxy hitman (main character) seems more darker and deeper backstory than the last, and everyone seems pretty badass. We also get more depth on our villains, or the Yatsufusa clan & Aragami family, which of them seem really cool too. Can’t wait to see how this tale of revenge unfolds.

While this series is good, I’m choosing to not continue it. The overall mystery and revenge plot of Shouya’s journey, in my opinion, gets overshadowed by the pretty graphic sexual violence.
I feel like I would’ve enjoyed the story more and wanted to continue reading if those elements were either toned back, or alluded to instead of being outright shown.

Violent, disturbing and horrifying at times. The story is driven by revenge, but the main character is still a little bit human. Would highly suggest.
