Dave Wood's Christmas Book: Stories, Traditions, Recipes, & Celebrations, a Compendium Gleaned from 150Years of His Family's Life in the Upper Midwest

Rate this book
The Wood family learns to celebrate Christmas -- when they moved to Wisconsin. In the rediscovery of the Christmas celebration they created a celebration of American diversity – a melding of Scandinavian and Germanic customs. This is an entertaining collection of remembrances of Christmas trees, gifts and giving, food and recipes, of preparations and parties—all from one of the best story tellers around. When the celebration is over Dave and Ruth collapse into separate heaps, proclaiming, "we’ll never to a Christmas like that again." The first time they made that pledge was twenty years ago. They are hooked on the holiday!
