Her heart’s been broken too many times. He was the first one to break it.Will fate give them a second chance? When recently divorced Callie Stewart, an aspiring country music artist, confronts the dishonest talent agent who stole her new song, he turns the tables on her, and her world spins out of control. Without proof she composed the hit song, Callie is forced to take her twin boys with her, move out of Nashville and live with her aunt in Georgia. Having her dreams shattered leaves her trying to figure out how she will support her little family. Reconnecting with Ty Carter, her long-ago crush from high school and the guy who broke her heart, has her questioning her resolve to leave romance out of her new life. Ty isn’t just a good-looking cowboy, he’s sweet to her boys and makes Callie feel beautiful and alive. As her feelings for Ty grow stronger, the music reawakens inside her, inspiring her creativity and the desire to sing. Giving love a second chance might be the key to a forever love, and the start of a new music career…but can it be both?
Anderson has a way of writing that brings a smile to my face. Her stories are sweet and swoony, hinge on a meet cute, and are marinated in humor--and this one is no different.
Callie has been wronged and is starting over back home as a single mom of twin boys. A man from her teenage past is now a part of her present and I love the ways they keep running into each other, but I especially enjoyed their first meeting after years. Adorable! Ty regrets his last interaction with Callie and I loved how he can man-up and admit his wrongs.
The walks by the lake and porch swing talks, combined with the sparks that are still sparking like fireflies after all these years, added to the precocious twins made for an enchantingly sweet contemporary romance. I love Anderson's writing style and I really loved the way music played such a big part of the story. I found myself wishing I could hear these songs and go through the creative process with Callie.
I'll say it again--adorable! I loved every minute of it.
Content: mild romance (swoony, kissing)

This was my second time reading this book. The first time it was part of a Timeless Romance Collection but the author has recently released it and updated it. Let me tell y'all, this book, mmhmm, I loved it just as much or more so the second time around.
Callie and Ty's story had all the ups and downs and happy emotions. I loved the little glimpses of their backstory and the understanding that brings for why their first meeting is a mite awkward.
Callie's twin boys stole the book. I just adored them. They kept her and her aunt and Ty on their toes. But I loved the portrayal of their family. I loved the patience and love they have for each other. Just darling and it all added so much depth to this story and another reason why I love it so much.
I love how the author updated the book to be a part of her Georgia Moon Romance series. It was so fun to see those characters that I love from those books and how this one interconnected with them.
The musical aspects of the book were so fun. Music is such an integral part of my life so whenever it is included in a book, it makes me very happy!
I could go on and on about this book but I'll stop my ramblings with this final thought. If you want a sweet second chance love story about family, redemption, forgiving, letting go, friendships, sweet romance and happily music ever after, I highly recommend this one (and all of the Georgia Moon books)!
Content: Clean. Nothing further than some kisses.
I received a copy from the author. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.
I’m a big fan of Cindy Roland Anderson’s books! I love the way she writes, it’s romance with a touch of humor. And the music she usually includes makes me happy too.
I remember reading and loving the original version of this one. And I love that the author included extra content in this version. Including an epilogue you won’t want to miss!
Callie is a single mom of twin boys. She’s faced some challenges on her own in Tennessee, including having her song stolen by a snake. And she’s decided to take her boys home to Georgia to live with her aunt. I love Callie’s boys! I laughed at their antics so many times. Mainly because our boy is similar. But Callie is a great mom. And she does a great job juggling everything that she has to.
Ty is the guy who broke her heart when they were teenagers. He happens to live next door to Callie’s aunt. A fact that becomes obvious when one of Callie’s boys falls from a swing and needs medical care. I really loved these two. The way they were able to develop an easy relationship and fall in love was so sweet.
I didn’t want to put this one down. I finished it so fast! Make sure you grab your own copy to read.
I was sent an e-copy of Chasing Moonbeams as a gift from the author. All opinions are my own.
This was just the perfect book to end my Sunday afternoon with. I was so immersed in the story that the pages just flew by and before I knew it I had finished the whole thing. There is only a little bit of drama. Mostly this is just a feels good, stress-free read. A story that leaves you with that happy settled feeling. I love the kiss by the lake story. After reading about the exes and how broken they left their partners feeling it was satisfying to watch them get their second chance and happy ever after. There was lots of chemistry but all clean and family friendly. It has a great big fun epilogue that totally caught me off guard with it’s shock and awe. Rating: G, clean, family friendly
I loved this story! As I began to read I remembered bits and pieces from reading it in the Big Sky Anthology. I loved how resilient Callie was, as often as she got pushed down she always got back up. Ty was a great help and motivator to her. It was a fun reconnection between the two of them. And the joy they brought to each other. I loved that Cindy tied it so nicely in to the Georgia Moon series. I absolutely LOVED the epilogue. What a great happily ever after (although a bit chaotic). Great ending to a wonderful series! I was given an ARC of this book. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.
This second chance romance features Ty and Callie who meet up years after high school as they are both trying to figure out their lives following failed marriages. They have instant chemistry but now that they are older and wiser, is there enough substance and true love to make a long term relationship work? Or are they just chasing moonbeams? This very romantic book pulled me in right away and kept my attention until the very end—and what an ending it was! It was also fun to “catch up” with some of the characters in the Georgia Moon series. Highly recommend!
Ty was my favorite character. So sweet and supportive. Even though their relationship moved at lightening speed, it didn't feel too fast because of their history. My only complaint was there wasn't more story between chapters 9 and 10. I would have loved to see her career fleshed out a little more and how it affected her relationship with Ty, her boys, and her aunt instead of just summarized. I felt a little cheated. It was fun to see the characters from her other books in the series in one place.
Reading Chasing Moonbeams was the perfect way to end a quiet Sunday. I have been a huge country music fan for over seventy years and I love reading about that world. I loved Ty, Callie, Aunt Joy and the boys. Callie and Ty need to heal from the hurt caused by divorce. Callie has to deal with the fallout from the theft of her song. This book is a beautiful, sweet, heartwarming romance. The epilogue was the perfect ending. If you like sweet romances and country music, you will love this book.
Cindy Roland Anderson weaves a really good second chance romance. Callie was best friends with Ty’s sister in high school. Ty managed to hurt Callie before leaving to go to college. Callie graduated and moved to Nashville. Callie moves back to her Aunt’s home after having her music stolen and losing her job. They meet again as adults with a lot of baggage. Can Callie forgive Ty? Read and find out.
This book was like a visit with old friends. I enjoyed this second chance romance along with Callie taking the “high road” in her dealings with the theft of her song. Cindy Roland Anderson wrote a sweet reunion between Ty and Callie, it didn’t hurt that he had to make a few apologies. As the great grandmother of twin boys I enjoyed watching the all boy twins and their antics bring their mom and Ty together.
I have loved every book written by this author! The characters were relatable and endearing. I could see why the characters were attracted to each other. There were no dull moments in this book. I was hooked from beginning to end. If you are in the mood for a good, clean romance, read this book. It is well worth your time!!
I love the Georgia Moon books, and this doesn’t disappoint. While substantially shorter and faster paced than the others, this novella is totally fun and packed with some pretty fantastic kisses. No spoilers for he ending, but I was cracking up the whole time. Perfect summer afternoon read!
I enjoyed the second chance element, the awful theft of Callie's mysuc, the way Called protected her twins, the growing romance between Valley and Ty, and the epilogue with the big unexpected surprise that could only be written by someone who knows her medical stuff. I only wish it could have been longer. Good job, Cindy!
This is such a good book! I truly enjoyed reading it! It's a sweet, charming & moving story. Everything you want in a true second chance romance. Callie ❤ Ty, steal your heart from the very first pages to the last.
Cindy is one of my favorite writers. Her books are always well written and enjoyable. Chasing Moonbeams is a fun story with a happy ending which is exactly the kind of book I enjoy. There is depth to the charters and they really come alive.
This book is funny, engaging and sassy. When you first have love and it seems to trickle back, do you believe it, trust it or just go with it? Fall in love with the wonderful characters who let you live and love beside them.
This was a pretty quick read. Most of the conflict happened before the book begins so there really isn’t any tension which made for a relaxing read. The epilogue was a cameo of characters from other books which would have been nice had I remembered who everyone was. Kisses only
my only complaint is that this book is too short 😭 I was so hyped when I saw a new book in the Georgia moon series! And then it flew by so fast.. I loved the epilogue the most as it called back to all the couples and characters from the previous books, and that just made me feel so happy ☺️❤️
