This book has been sitting on my bookshelf for many years and I just decided to read it. I don't think it is in print -- when I googled it, I saw that it is in the holdings of the Midwest Distributors Collection of the Kenneth Spencer Research Library at the University of Kansas, which has a lot of really interesting books and writings. It is the story of a machinist working in a large plant, and his transformation into an activist. Since the author is a "worker turned writer", it stands out as a piece of fiction because it is written in the voice of a worker, offering observations about the workplace and the larger social environment that we rarely have the opportunity to read.
