Election Countdown 2020: A Predictive Analysis
This is a predictive analysis of the 2020 election, which may be decisive in defining our political destiny for the next generation, or perhaps even for the rest of the 21st Century. Originally published in April 2019, it has been updated with the election result, comparing the forecast to the outcome.
If the Fourth Turning theory is correct, then Donald Trump is the Great Unraveller of the post-WWII globalist order. The election of 2020 will determine whether he is replaced by a leader on the Progressive Left; or whether he will become the progenitor of a new Populist Republican majority. Both sides will therefore view the 2020 election as extraordinarily decisive.
Elections are usually written about when they’re over and the results are in. That gives them an aura of inevitability. We’ll look at the 2020 election as it progresses and see how accurately we anticipated the outcome.
