As a very young, debt-laden married couple in the early 2000s, this book (and his radio show) were major factors in us getting our financial lives in order. Twenty-two years after I read "Get Clark Smart," I was able to retire at age 49. Our financial success wasn't all because of Clark, but his drumbeat of simple, unbiased advice over the decades certainly played a big role in forming my views on money.
