This is a fabulous resource for all elementary and middle school teachers responsible for teaching mathematics. It gives clear explanations of the major concepts in each of the strands of mathematics with activities that illustrate the concepts. It does require thought and effort in mastering this material, but it is essential that math teachers do the work to grasp it.

I read this for a Masters course - it is very informative and easy to read. It will be a great resource for any K-8 teacher looking to improve their math instruction.
