My first ever short story sale was to this anthology. My story is "Polar Shift", written as Emily Mah, and I was the only previously unpublished author featured in this anthology. Julie Czerneda solicited submissions of stories about polar science, and they were reviewed by scientists for accuracy. The anthology was released in 2007, the International Polar Year and was launched at Ad Astra, a convention in Toronto. Working with Julie and sharing a table of contents with so many fantastic writers was the warmest welcome into publshingdom I could have ever imagined.
