Dr. Kenneth George really put a lot of effort into creating a book that showcases us gay men in a positive light.
For a book that came out over 20 years, I’d say that it holds up well; don’t let the publication date scare you. I absolutely loved reading this book. Many of the other gay relationship books I have read are quite negative, usually painting us gay men in a bad light. In this book however, Dr. George really affirms that us gay men are just like anybody else and where we are wounded we can heal. I have learned (and re-learned) a lot, and am glad I finally got around to reading this one (had sitting on my bookshelf for 5+ years).

Bonus points that this book reminded me of Louise Hay’s “you can heal your life”.

I will definitely reread this book at a later point.

Author Dr. Kenneth D. George talks about his experience as he worked with gay men finding someone special. He gives tips and knowledge how to approach Mr. Right, your ideal partner for life possibly. Looking for a real relationship is hard but what I have learned by reading this book is you have to do the work as Dr. Kenneth put it. I will have to work on myself and overcome obstacles in finding Mr. Right. In past, I have had a not so great journey in finding someone who may be Mr. Right as I looked for Mr. Wrong as the book have said. This book really helped me with the many activities on how to find Mr. Right and what to avoid in Mr. Wrong.

In dark times, any book about achieving love is ultimately a book about hope. I prefer to be hopeful.

When i first discovered this book, I was on a mission of looking for love. Thankfully, this book helped me pull back the reigns and just open my heart to it instead of being so eager. great advice was given, whether you wanted to hear it or not.
