This is a really thoughtful selection of plays from the Restoration period. The Country Wife and The Beaux Stratagem were both very clever and funny.

This is my main textbook for Plays, Players, Playgoers: London, 1600-1700. We're currently reading Love's Last Shift from here, by Cibber.
