I particularly liked this book because Gergen does a great job presenting social constructionism. I am a believer... indeed reality is mostly what we perceive it to be and his work caught my attention because it helped me focus on my relationship with others - as we work together to co-construct the world around us.
After this introduction to constructionism I became interested in social and cultural competences... after that I moved to emotional intelligence. I felt Gergen helped me grow and become more aware of the constructs around us.

More balanced than some other Gergen books.
