Another hit!

I read the majority of these when they were originally published in Kindle Worlds. I think the 2 new stories fit in perfectly! Right now my favorite in this collection is, From the Ashes by Michael Patrick Hicks.

I definitely encourage anyone interested in post-apocalyptic, or dystopian, to read these. And then check out the other works by the authors. You could find your new favorite!

Six great stories by six great authors! All are fabulously crafted from different perspectives, yet spawned from the bestselling Extinction Cycle world. Many hours of suspense and action. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed all of the stories in the book.

Outpost 46 was a great story. It could have been slightly longer in my opinion. I loved the action and the characteristics of the soldiers involved.

Extinction Bridge was good. I thought that some chapters could have been longer and others a little shorter.

The White King was amazing. That was one character that I always wondered how it evolved. The character of Valen/Kyle/Scabs should have been changed or eliminated in my opinion. It felt weird reading his segments.

Mother was an outstanding book. That was the story that I loved the most. I wasn’t sure if the children were involved at first but as the story advanced, I was sure that they had to be involved somehow. It did feel slightly weird reading about sadistic killer children though.

From the Ashes was a good story. While reading it, I felt like many parts could have been expanded. I thought that they could have been slightly longer.

Another outstanding collection of stories from the Extinction Cycle to keep you up at night.

These stories about the first weeks of the Hemorrhage Virus and variant infection and infestation that swept around the world in just days. Not a bunch of shambling walkers or zombies, these nightmares are from a virus, created in a laboratory and released by a non-symptomatic researcher who became symptomatic and bleeding from every orifice, attacking the travelers in a crowded terminal in Chicago. The tales in Missions From The Extinction Cycle (Volume 2) are the rest of the story.

Wether you've read the Extinction Cycle books or not, these short stories are standalone amazing and perfect introductions to the series. The authors from around the world capture moments of pure terror in sometimes graphic detail. Some more graphic then others, but every one a helluva read!

The Extinction Cycle does it again

The Extinction Cycle does it again. These stories fit right into the world of the Variant and what Nicholas Sansbury Smith has created. A world of death, and destruction. Where every turn is a just a step away from having your guts ripped out or your face chewed off..These authors reached right down and tore your heart out with the way things happened to people. I really wish we had another book to read because this one was awesome..if you haven’t read this book, you better because your life just might depend on it..just a heads up..so read it..

This is an anthology of novellas that fit well in and around the Extinction Cycle series (season 1). A must-have for collectors of the Extinction Cycle universe books.

I enjoyed how the various authors told their stories. All had sadness but some were downright scary in places - Alfred Hitchcock kind of scary.

I highly recommend this anthology to anyone who enjoys post-apocalyptic stories and has read the Extinction Cycle series created by Nicholas Sansbury Smith. However, if you have an aversion to adult language and violence, perhaps these are not the stories for you.

Holy Crap!!!!!

Each of these tories.follow the original story line awesomely!!! It was so fun to read someone else tell a different part of the story that was not mentioned in the originals. All cool to see someone take a small part of the original and spin it to their own side of it!!! You not be disappointed reading any of these versions, but I recommend reading them all!!! So good!!!

Totally chilling!

Having read this book and it’s companion I have to say these are some of the most terrifying and chilling stories I’ve read in quite a while. Each author adds their own sense of horror to the story line and it fits together so well that I have to say how much I really loved reading it. I highly recommend this book and the others in the Extinction cycle series.

As with the first Missions from the Extinction Cycle, this is not written by the author of the series. These stories are written by other authors who want to be part of this awesome series! And like the first Missions book, this is a must for any fan of the series. These short stories add so much to the series. In this set of stories, Mother by G. Michael Hopf was my favorite. It was creepy!

Different offshoots of the E.C. series, written by six excellent authors. A well done and exciting read. For those who are not familiar with the series is, this is also an excellent stand alone book. I recommend this book.

Grim

Excellent additions to the Extinction Cycle universe. As in volume one, these stories blend seamlessly into the universe and flesh out several plot lines from the parent novels. Some seriously dark and hopeless apocalypse fiction. Well done.

Very good.

Very good stories by all the Authors. I liked the new stories which included outpost 46 and especially the story that introduced us to the White King, who would become a central character later on in the extinction cycle books. Also those two !little girls; very creepy.

Whether it's electronic or paper the stories are GREAT.

It's fantastic to let other authors in your "world" and see how they can run with it.
