Pam Foster, like many single moms, is just trying to get through life one day at a time. Stubborn and determined, Pam juggles career and family, doing her best to look forward and not dwell on the past. But when your past includes the sexy Gary Foster, that's easier said than done. Gary Foster, the famous stock car racer, set the young and impetuous Pam on fire as he burned up the track and made her the sole object of his desire. After a few years of marriage, motherhood, and too much time watching her husband trying to survive life in the fast lane, Pam decided she couldn't deal with the dangerous nature of Gary's work and walked away.

Now, circumstances leave her no choice and Pam has to go to the track to see Gary race. She is determined to keep her distance, but the second they look at one another sparks fly, reigniting a passion that never died and a need they can no longer deny.
