The last two books could have been easily compressed into one.
The Dark series was a very alluring journey, a steamy romance with a lot of turns and secrets.
However, the final book left me with questions that never got answers.

This series is for readers who enjoy seductive plot accompanied by plenty erotic scenes.

This is book five in the series and we are at the conclusion to Dylan’s and Emily‘s story. All the pieces have fallen into place. All the questions have been answered. This is the most soul satisfying ending to this series. There was a moment when I thought all was not as I thought it would be. These two definitely had their ups and downs. I certainly had my moments with Dylan when I thought his character was in question.

This last book in this series is fantastic! The story line had perfect flow. Looking back to the beginning, all the characters have grown tremendously! I look forward to whatever is next for this author.

Wow! What a great ending to this amazing series. Dark Truth is all the title states it is. Emily & Dylan learn some real hard truths in this last installment. In Dark Secret, Dylan was keeping a huge secret from Emily. A secret we were dying to know. Emily's brother sends a letter and we are left wondering what the letter holds and how will it disrupt their lives. Leading us to our last installment Dark Truth. And the truth will set us free......
As our story continues Emily has been keeping something to herself. Another secret that could destroy Dylan and her relationship. Things between them are great, but she has noticed that Dylan is keeping something from her. But she has to give him time to reveal the secret or risk pushing him away. To top off all things, her brother has sent her a letter. But is he sincere in his words or is this a trick to use her against Dylan.
All things will come to a head and Emily will fall into great danger.
I have to applaud Summer Cooper. This series was outstanding. The whole thing was well thought out and planned from the very beginning, never rushing through. We had time to come to hate or love our characters. Some we hated were able to redeem themselves and some showed us a beautiful side that was well hidden.
I truly enjoyed getting to know Emily and Dylan. Their story was a dark and inviting one. It was set in a dark erotic world that will draw in the curious and entice them. Summer has developed that dark erotic world, full of no name characters that are very seductive and sensual, which complimented our main characters heated sensual nature as well. Drawing in readers with this seductive world and holding their interests throughout each book.
Overall this book and series was an amazing sensual experience. It explored the underground world of BDSM and the uniqueness of it. It gives the readers a dark and seductive love affair that is not only forbidden, but compelling. Dylan and Emily’s love affair is dark, strange, intense and erotic to the core. They overcome many obstacles, yet the love they have is undeniable, even when they don’t want to admit it.
If you love a good dark romance full of sin, then this book is perfect for you. But only if you like the dark side. If you are the least bit vanilla then this book is not for you. It has some dark scenes that include some bondage and discipline. So if you are looking for the next Fifty Shades of Grey, then pick this series up. You will be glad you did.

A MUST-READ epic ROMANCE extraordinaire!!
Emily Thompson, although made of figment and paper mâché, is one of the strongest people I know. After five marvelous reads centered on her adult life and choices, and at least three other novels that allowed readers a vision of Emily in her youth, I feel bereft as I read this last novel in Summer Cooper’s Thompson Hotel Series. This daring erotic romance finally comes to it's conclusion. I really enjoyed the story and the final installment does Emily and Dylan justice. However, there are some serious speed bumps to the happily ever after. I do think this book has so much going on that it feels more fictitious than plausible. I'm don't wish to give away any plot points but, I think Emily's family issues seem to be to easily forgiven. Trent's very hurtful and cruel letter from the beginning seems to be forgotten. I am obviously, less than the person Emily is. In this book, Dylan's secret is fully disclosed meanwhile, Emily has a new one she is struggling to keep. Everything comes to a head when an unexplained tragedy affects all of the characters. Very dramatic. It feels like it was put in place to bring everything and everyone to the closure that is needed but, you never understand how the bizarre and scary incident occurs. Seems strange to me so, I chalk it up to creative license. The only other thing I found lacking in this book is a follow up on Dylan. You assume all is well but, I would have liked the author's assurances that Dylan's secret has been controlled.

Overall, the epic romance across five books is a really good love story of two people not really looking for love or a relationship just some kinky sex but, find themselves drawn to each other with desire and passion. You admire their devotion and determination not only in the personal lives but, their professional ones as well. Of course, the happily ever is always the best part and I breathed a sigh of relief when Emily and Dylan get theirs.

Extraordinary Finale To The Series 


Dyan and Emily are made for each other but getting to their happily ever after is anything but easy.  Ms. Cooper impresses me time and again with her unsurpassed talent and this series will stay with me for a long time to come.  I have recommended every single book in the series, simply because it is worth your time to read.   


Coming from opposing Families, Dylan and Emily's romance will drive you wild with the lust and longing between them.   This final installment to the series, Dark Truth, is a masterpiece.   The way Ms. Cooper ties everything together so perfectly, yet still included more drama was so fantastically written.   I am always in complete awe of her, and this release is no different.   I don't want to give too much away, because I wouldn't want to ruin it for other reader's, but...  Jeez.  She deserves an award as well as a pat on the back.  


I have no clue what she'll think up next,  but I can't wait to read whatever she publishes.   My Lord, this woman is beyond creative and is just an all around absolutely amazing Author.   Dark Truth is the journey of Dylan and Emily not only coming 'clean' to one another, but also resolving Family issues (on her side) and continuing to create love and a future together.

Dark Truth by Summer Cooper is the final ending to this passionate, heartfelt story about two people seeking love, but at times afraid to fully commit and admit to each other that they this deep connection they have is everlasting. The chemistry and passion between Dylan and Emily only becomes more intense with each page, the suspense, drama and secrets will have your emotions all over the place, at times it will leave you breathless. Things between these two amazing characters seem to be moving forward as their relationship gets stronger but secrets are still weighing heavy on their happiness. Now Emily's family is trying to connect with her, at times you are left wondering if they really are sincere to have her back into the family. But through all the drama that surrounds them, you will be left unsettled as you are left wondering what is going to happen to Dylan and why he is afraid to tell Emily his secret. Now Dylan fears his time is running out for him as he needs to tell Emily about what he is enduring, while fighting with himself they he may be a burden to her.

As for Emily she is harboring a secret of her own and finds herself scared to confont Dylan as she fears she will lose him forever. When all is revealed and friends and family come together, will these two get the happy ending they deserve? Summer Cooper did a wonderful job telling this story as you are left wondering will their be more? This is a must read series that should not be missed!! Well done Summer!! This is probably the hardest review I have ever written because I am still TOTALLY SPEECHLESS! I have never said this before but the Dark Series is by far the ABSOLUTE BEST Series of books I have ever read. Summer Cooper, thru her masterful writing has brought us through the various stages of the relationship between Stephanie/Emily and Dylan in not one but four different books all the while keeping us intrigued and invested in how their lives and relationship will end. Will it be an HEA or a Dark tragic end? There are struggles that this couple has experienced and overcome throughout the four books but the ending is definitely worth the wait. As I have mentioned before, I created a new category for Ms. Cooper which is my FAVORITE, favorite author and know you will come to the same conclusion. Do yourself a favor and definitely read this and the other "Dark" books as well as anything else written by this fantastic author.

Here we go, my dear reader friends, "Dark Truth."
* Stares off in space a bit *
So here's the deal- me being the fast' ish reader I am, I should have had this book finished D.A.Y.S ago, unfortunately, I found it difficult to get passed the fade away of seemingly essential plot points, and sweet turnaround of it all!
After a few days break, I psyched myself back into finishing this book- no matter what I needed to know how it all ended. I had quite a bit invested in their journey already! < I mean really jeez!>
Jumping back in, the wrap up of Dylan and Emily's dark and sensual beginnings is a rocky, rollercoaster of mending hearts, and emotional awakenings.
It's a 50/50 toss up ( IMO ) on the questions we get answers too, and the ones left hanging in the fictional abyss maybe for later stories who knows.. regardless once I got over my "issues" Dark Truth was an enjoyable conclusion in a series of dark and delicious stories by Summer Cooper I floved!
Highly recommend checking out all four books for yourself!

The truth comes out for both Emily and Dylan, but can they accept each other?

Emily finally receives the treatment from her family that she always craved and Trent starts to lead the way. But when more and more things come to life, will it be that easy to move passed the previous treatment? Tragedy has a way of bringing people together, but in this case, will the same be true?

Dylan wants to be there for Emily in every way and puts his differences aside for her sake. Will Trent get over that? But when tragedy comes, Emily's brothers finally come to her side in the best ways possible!!!

This is such an excellent conclusion to the series. But who set the club on fire? And how will their story truly end? I could not get enough of this series!! It went into the BDSM world and allowed Emily to explore in the best ways with her own personal guide. But Dylan held back from her, since she wasn't ready. But now that she is, his Dom can be set free! I received an ARC of this book from the author.

Emily and Dylan settled down and read the letter that her brother sent her. Trent was apologizing for what he did to her and their family. However he still didn't like Dylan and when he talked about family she felt like he just missed the babysitter and fixer she was to the family. But Dylan knows what her family really means to her and wants her to go and at least talk to them. When Dylan has a medical crisis its what ends up bringing everyone together. Dylan sees that no matter what Emily isn't leaving his side. All during this time she learns that she's pregnant and is worried about what Dylan will think. Can they finally have their happy ever after? Will Dylan be upset over the baby?

This is an amazing ending to this series. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this story to any book lover.

I enjoyed Dylan’s and Emily’s journey. However, whilst it was entertaining, the series was riddled with spelling/grammatical errors and typos, which detracts from the overall story. I implore the author to find a better proof reader. The penultimate chapter was written in Emily’s POV, when it was actually Dylan’s. I had other issues with the plot, such as the irritating repetitive inner angst of the MC’s and one very underwhelming cliffhanger/proposal. The conclusion was so rushed, it felt anti-climatic - the last two books contained so much padding, I had expected more. A declaration of love from Dylan, would have at least made the proposal more heartfelt. The final chapter takes place 6 months later but it should have been the Epilogue. Overall, I would only recommend if you’re looking for a light read.

AMAZING! 4.5 Stars
A great ending to this series that I enjoyed very much. A bit repetitive but kept me needing to turn the pages. An unexpected twist had all my alarm bells going off a bit scared and extremely concerned sending me like a mad women to get to the end and only then could I exhale a breath a little easier but left me with unanswered questions about explosion and never confessing their love for each other. The chemistry was sexy and hot but seemed to fizzle in Dark Truth were as in the other four parts of this series it was definitely steamy. I would absolutely recommend this series that is packed with emotions, intrigue, hot chemistry, excitement, attention grabbing twists, nail-biting suspense and a fulfilling HEA.

ONE AMAZING RIDE!!!
Holy Crap! Talk about gut wretching. This is one action packed, hard hitting, heart pounding, page turning thrill ride that holds your attention from start to finish. Propels all of your spinning emotions into play with a whirlwind of events that rock this baby to the core. Filled with all the drama, uncertainty and suspense that catapults this bad boy together perfectly. Summer packs a punch with this raging storyline and explosive plot that brings this bad boy to life spectacularly. The characters are authentic, approachable and so realistic with depth and traits its easy to relate. The scenes are so vividly detailed it gives the illusion you're right there in middle of ground zero with them. Remarkable job Summer, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.

A fitting conclusion to a deeply satisfying and rewarding series.

When Emily receives a letter from her brother Trent she fears the worst but instead it is a letter of apology. However when one drama is resolved there is further dramas ahead before a dramatic conclusion to this story. Though out the series I have felt the pain and rejection that Emily has to overcome, but in this last book she is a shining light of love and forgiveness. Dylan comes into his own and also comes to terms with his past and his illness, they both deserved the happy ending waiting for them at the end of this book. A deeply satisfying and rewarding read!

This last book was so emotional between how Emily found out about his illness & how bad it had got & then her being pregnant. I was a bit sceptical about how the meeting with her family would go but it went even better than they both expected. I loved how all the family came together again & were there for both of them when Dylan was in the hospital. It also had times when you had to laugh with Emily & her cravings but just as everything was going to perfect a disastrous situation almost cost him the love of his life & I had tears in my eyes desperately hoping that they would get to be the happy family that they both deserved.
This is definitely a series I recommend.

This is the final book in this Dark Desires series and it is a block buster! Chemistry and sex is off the chart between Emily and Dylan! These two were made for each other. The unloved little boy finally found a love huge enough to heal all his brokeness. That lover, Emily, strong, intelligent, always putting others first, has learned to stand up for herself and found that her family and Dylan both are capable of giving the deep and caring love she wants in return. But the getting to that HEA has readers on the edge of their seats, turning pages, Recommend both the series and this book. I volunteered this review from an ARC.

I am crying big crocodile tears right now. This is a very emotional passionate journey. The chemistry between Dylan and Emily is pretty off the charts hot through out the series. Together they healed each other and Emily and Dylan finally get their happily ever after. The ending is a curve ball I didn’t see coming. I was glad to see Emily’s family finally step up after the way they treated her and Dylan. But I do feel like this last book was missing the fire that the other 4 books had. I am left with a few questions. Overall this is a fantastic heartfelt series and I would highly recommended it.

I have LOVED every bit of this series up to this point. The only reason I didn’t completely love this last book and rate it higher is due to the revelation of Dylan’s health. It reminded me of a book by another author that I had read last year and I found myself thinking about that book and those characters. That is the only reason! Had his health issue been something different, my focus may not have strayed from Dylan and Emily. Otherwise, this was the perfect conclusion to their story! Everything finally settled into place. I even, although reluctantly, found myself forgiving Trent and the rest of Emily’ family.

Emily has always been at the call of her family when ever they needed her , she finally had a enough of it. Emily might have just made the best decision that has made her life better when she meets Dylan. Dylan might have had hard past and it has always followed him around where he went and when he meets emily she isn't trueful with him and neither is he ,but in this book they finally get past that. This book has a lot of secerts that have been finally come to light. I received this book as a arc for a honest review and this series will have you at first page and you will be cheering for both of them. I can't wait to see what summer comes up with.

This is book 5 in Cooper's Dark Desires series and the last in the journey of Emily and Dylan. A captivating and satisfying ending to the ups and downs these two have faced. All is revealed and answered, and I can rest knowing Cooper gave me an ending more prefect than I could have imagined. Hard truths are delivered and yet, this is the perfect ending to this intense, dark and delicious series. Smooth flowing storyline and characters that you can't help but love and cheer for. So grateful for this roller coaster of a ride - I may ust have to read it and re-live it again!

Oh Summer Cooper - you tear my heart up with this series! What a way to bring it all to an end. Yup, this series has been a journey - getting to know Dylan and Emily, falling in and out of love with so many character (the reader that is) and for me - who knew BDSM was such an interesting subculture!
So much dark, obsessive love and need in this final installment, so many truths that they were scared would tear them apart and so much lost time to fear and pain. But if you like a HEA don't worry - this resolves with one.

Dark Truth is book five in the series Dark Desires by author Summer Cooper. So firstly this is the last book and it closes out the series. This series has been a really brilliant ride. Filled this all aspects of life - it’s brutality and it’s splendor. Dark Truth, did not disappoint. Finally the characters has reached their destination- what a wild ride it has been. With each stage their character’s have grown and their story has lets us brave out the outcome with them. A well deserved victory and HEA- even if was not easy.

This book is fantastic! The saga of Dylan and Emily continues and it’s quite a ride! There are truths about each other that they will learn and some come the hard way. Emily finally gets the recognition from her family when the oldest brother, Trent, reaches out to bring the family back together. There is one final surprise in this book that will bring danger and while I was a bit disappointed with the way the book ends, it’s another great tale in this amazing series and I still highly recommend it!.

This is the final book of an unfolding story. The characters have matured; Emily has proved to be a very strong woman, Dylan has finally gotten rid of his burden and both have come to terms with their mutual feelings for one another. I am so releaved at how it ended, I kept reading this book with one eye shut because I was so worried that something bad could happen to them. Fortunately all the pieces returned where they belonged and they finally had their long deserving happy ending. I highly recommend this series.

This is a wonderful conclusion to the Dark Desires series, this book is well-written with plenty of drama and sizzling attraction between Emily and Dylan. All their secrets have come to light and their relationship just gets stronger and deepens. They do have their moments of self doubt, with all that has happened in their past it's understandable. I loved the way Summer Cooper wrapped up this story. All the threads were tied together perfectly. Definitely recommend this book.

This last book will finally answer some of our questions. What is in Trent's letter and what will it mean to Emily and Dylan? What is Dylan's health problem and why is he hiding it? Will either one of them tell the other they love them?? Plus Emily has a secret (another one) and Roxie finds a boyfriend. We will, though, still be trying to figure what exactly happened at the sex club in Chapter 19. But, all's well that ends well.

I am so sad to see this finale installment end...😩 Every book in this collection had me on pins & needles and this book was no different!!! This book is addictive and have you hooked!!! Great writing, had me on edge the entire book!🥴 I’m glad theirs secrets are finally out!! The heat in this last book was off the charts!!! The love truly shined through this book!!😍 This book collection is a must have!!!🤪 🔥🔥 Hope the author will tell Roxie story next?!?!?🔥
