Office Hours #3

After Class: A student/professor romance

Rate this book
Everything in my life is an experiment. Something to study.
Even this—my attraction to the psychology professor.
I’ve never had a crush before. Never wanted a man so badly my stomach aches. But here I am at 22, with long-dormant parts of me coming alive. The professor is dry. Distant. Difficult to read. And though we move in the same circles, he still keeps me at arm’s length.
That won’t do. Not when I have all these new sensations, new desires to study in myself. He’s always saying we should seek knowledge.
Well, I’m about to know him.
After Class is a steamy professor-student romance and the third book in the Office Hours trilogy. Contains mature language and content.

“Seeing her again sends an immediate hit of pleasure and relief through my system. This must be how addicts feel. Is there a leaflet for this?”

A great little conclusion to this series. Raine and Fraser are the only two left and of course they need to get together! Raine is actually a really interesting character. She is a psychology student who is always analyzing. Fraser is basically a washed up psych professor who now spends his days in the student health center helping them cope with whatever issues they are going through.

Even though they have an instant attraction they slowly come together after several run-ins and missteps. It’s a really fun little romantic adventure. Even though I wanted to slap Fraser around a little bit a few times, this was probably my favorite book of the three.

This was an enjoyable read. It was the student-teacher relationship between Professor Fraser Drummond and his student, Raine. I thought it was a cute and quick read. I thought the story could have been longer to get more of a story about the moments after they got together to make it a happier ending. The characters were great. Fraser was a bit more mysterious than Gideon and Beckett. He used to be a psychology professor but then changed to be a guidance counsellor. He is bothered by something in his past, and I wished it was explored more. He is aloof, mysterious, and smart. Raine is an undergrad psychology student, who likes to sew different designs. She is unable to feel attraction and wonders why that is. That is until Professor Fraser Drummond entered the picture. She is sassy, smart and I would say a bit awkward as well. I thought their chemistry together was great. I thought the ending was cute. I just wish there was more. Overall, a great read.

I have read two of the three books in Kayla’s Office Hours series and they are so good!!! I missed book two but will be reading that one in the near future! Her books are really good with excellent writing, characters with depth, steam to fog up my kindle, and a happy ending every time. I liked the turn this book took with its characters Raine and Fraser. They both have hidden their feelings for different reasons and are almost robotic as they walk through life. They each have best friends (the couples from the first two books actually) but are the more stoic of their friend group. When they meet for the first time they are the only ones that see what the other is hiding deep inside. Unfortunately Fraser is a professor at her college and is adamant that he will never be involved with a student, even if his best friends have both gone down that path. Fraser struggles with his attraction to Raine throughout the book. Raine I love because she is straightforward and holds nothing back. These two will either destroy each other or bring each other light and happiness they deserve. You will love this book and love this series! Read it today!

Great wrap-up for the series with Raine's love story. Raine has always been a loner until she started sharing an apartment with Lucy and Keeley. When they all go out for the evening with Beckett, Gideon, and Fraser, Raine finds herself drawn to a man for the first time. She doesn't really want to follow in Lucy and Keeley's footsteps by hooking up with a professor, not even one slumming as a guidance counselor, but she is a psychology major and decides to call it research. Fraser doesn't seem eager to be involved in her experiment until he invites her to come to a lecture and takes her to a private viewing room. Then he falls asleep. Then he gets mad at her for seeing him fall asleep. Raine is not sure this is ever going to go anywhere. But she could be wrong.

I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

After Class is the third story in the Office Hours trilogy and my favourite. It’s the story of Raine and Fraser and I loved it so much!
Aww, my heart went out to Raine. Clueless about feelings of being loved or in love with someone. So sweet. But when she feels it, she knows exactly what (or rather who) she wants, and that’s Fraser. I really couldn’t put it down and had to read until it was finished. I loved these characters so, so much! 🥰 I think it’s the description of their feelings that makes it so special.
I would have liked to know more about Fraser’s background though. Despite that I still think it is a perfect story.

I received an arc of this book and this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

Short read student/professor

I love this trope. This is the third book in a series of student/teacher stories. Professor Fraser Drummond o's a cold, brooding psychology professor who is now a guidance counselor at Raine' College. Raine is herself a broody, cold, detached student who has never felt attraction until Fraser. Being a student of psychology she's intrigued and wants to know more. But Fraser, although unhappy about his job, does not want to cross the ethical line. This story is short, has great banter and is steamy.

Short but Sweet Little Escapes….

I fell onto these books by the Kindle algorithm (clearly love the age gap romances) and they were short but lovely reads. They’re just enough to get invested but not short enough that you’re hurried along with the plot as sometimes shorter books can bring. Despite the nature of the romance I fell for each character and probably ones I’ll keep and re-read a few times as they’re lovely and well written .

Raine and Fraser story is a good read . Their chemistry is on point even though Raine didn't want to be like her friends and date a professor . But Fraser act like Raine don't effect him but it does. Good book to the series .

I rate this book 3.5 stars.

This is the third book in the series but can be read as a standalone. I thought this one was more angsty than the other two, and that Fraser was trying so hard to be good. Raine makes me laugh as she seems so emotionless at times and the stuff the comes popping out of her mouth! This novel was entertaining and fun to read.

This girl is crazy and I love her. I wish I had the balls to walk up to my sexy professor and ask him to have sex with me for an experiment. I wish I could do that with my professors. This is my favorite book in this trilogy for sure
