Everything can’t be about School… The third-year students are about to take on those who know them best. Each other. Using a variation of the classic game of Capture the Flag, Kaiden and his friends must join teams and battle each other. It is time for Kaiden to learn what it means to lead. Then, when they are out on the town an opportunity is handed to the students on a silver platter. Kaiden has a job offer to help protect a business in San Diego but he needs more members. Will the students join him? If they do join him, will they survive? Few of the other students have taken on outside jobs like Kaiden has. Further, will the teachers find out about it? --- You don't become the best of the best by staying alive. In the Animus, you are closer to perfection with each death you suffer. Kaiden Jericho would rather skip the death part, thank-you-very-much. Join Kaiden as he learns about Nexus, the Animus, and the opportunities that one fight brought him. Never has helping someone benefitted him so much. The future is looking bright, except for the pain. Go up and click on the Read Now button and enter MASTER. Joshua has his father's talent at story telling. The characters are always engaging, and "real". I cannot wait to see what happens next. Oh, and read the notes at the end. The image of MA in the middle of a convention hall with a tranq dart sticking out of his butt, had me laughing out loud.
Another school year starts and our favourite group of students jump back into the Animus to show themselves and others that the system is safe! Kaiden leads the group on some extra -curricular activities and they prove they're just as tough in the real world. The short origin story at the end about Sasha and Prof. Laurie is enjoyable as well!
Like how kaiden took a gig with his friends and this could be a prelude of him starting his own mercenary company. Also clashing with that organization. Knowing more about their objectives, motive, and ideology.
These books by the same author are much like popcorn, in that you have some, enjoy it, teach into the bowl for more, knowing it's going to be good and just like the previous books. Don't you love mixed metaphors?
Enjoying the series immensely and the new side stories which give us more background on the characters. Finally we also get some idea about the mastermind begind the curtain and perhaps why they are after nexus academy.
This book is much better and intriguing and exciting for 3/4th of the story. Now it's about autobiographies of certain characters this does have a Very good action scene
It has been a while since I have read a book series similar to this one. This is a great mix of character development, action, and sci fi. Truly a great read!
Must admit, I've enjoyed almost all of M Anderle's books, but this Animus series is fantastic, guess young Josh is the way of the future. Anyway, every book in this series is fantastic, read them!
This book was a great set up for Kaiden and his friends being able to move on after the academy. It was a little different for me but I really enjoyed it!
Good book good characters and a good series. I like it, how the story and characters continue to evolve, plenty of action and humor. Looking forward to the next one.
A very well written, interesting book. In my opinion better than many of his father's books! Lots of action and interesting plots. #7 is the best book in the series. Just started book 8.
