This is the fantastically funny third title to the "My Sister's A Pop Star" series, starring straight-talking, super-klutzy Sam. Sam's life is turned upside down when her pop-star sister Danni Devine announces her decision to move out of their house, and out of the limelight. This means cancelling Danni's reality TV show, "The Devine Life", and, since their home is owned by the TV company, Sam and her mum are soon to be made homeless. So when Robert, Danni's manager, has an idea for a show about a girl at a horse-riding academy with Sam in the starring role, she has some tough choices to make. Watching Danni struggle with the pressures of fame has turned Sam off stardom for life, but with Danni leaving showbiz, who'll provide for her family? Unfortunately, Sam's no natural when it comes to performing, especially when she's acting opposite a truly handsome but horrible co-star. Truth is, Sam's more into this cute guy, Carlos but he's so not into celeb-chic and is all about keeping it real. Sam's torn between following her heart and looking out for her family, but while she tries to work out who she is and what she really wants, the cameras keep rolling...Celebrities and reality TV are the hottest of topics and down-to-earth Sam tells it all, in hilarious style, from the glamour and backstabbing, to the truth behind the scenes.
Reads so much like a Disney Channel Original Movie, you can almost see one of its stars in the main role. Lighthearted and fun, with likable heroes and a despicable antagonist.
This was a cute book. I didn't realize it was a series until I finished reading it!(This happens to me so often that I've made it a habit to check before I get a book from the library but I forgot this time and... ta-da) Good thing it basically stood on it's own so I didn't feel like I missed any details. I thought it was a cute read. It was funny and I liked the character. I shall be adding the other books to my to read list.
'Hi, I'm Sam, welcome to my blog! Listen up, I'm gonna be starring in my own TV show! Freaky right? Life in the limelight is not for me, but things are kinda strange now. My sister's quite being a pop princess so I've got to look after the family. I'm cool with that, but I'm not cool with my co-star. He's pretending to like me for the paparazzi, but it's one great big act. And guess what- I'm dealing with my first major crush. There's this boy I badly want to kiss and when that first kiss happens it just has to be special...'
I am so totally glad there was a sequel to My Sisters A Popstar, and it was just as good! I read this in 3 hours, I was so into it. I really wanted to find out what happened with Sam, her crush, her super jerky co-star, and I was always looking forward to reading Sam's blog.
"Packed with fun, fame, and fiasco..." girl talk were definitely right about that!
Kimberly always leaves you wanting more, and now I can't have more. That is how great the book actually is! Its inpiring, cool, funky, and to say the least, addicting!

There was a girl named Sam and she had a sister named Danni. Danni was a popstar, Sam wanted her sister to be happy with what she did but Sam didn't like what was going to happen next. Danni's producers wanted to do a reality TV show about her and her family. It was best for their family because if they didn't they would be homeless. Sam hated this, she hated being on TV and she didn't want everyone watching her. Eventually Sam agreed to do this and started liking it. She realized that she was really lucky to have the house that she did.
This book was about Sams relationship with her family. She loved her family so much but she was always angry with them. She got really mad at her mom for agreeing to do the TV show. She got really mad at her sister for ignoring her, Danni really wasn't but it felt like it to Sam. She was always avoiding her family when she should have tried to interact with them. In the end Sam was honest with her family.
I really liked this book. I couldn't set it down and I read the other two books as soon as possible. I read it in almost two days. I also loved the other books. I guess I liked it because I could relate to it. I always feel like my brother is avoiding me and Sam felt the exact same with Danni. If they wrote another book I would definitely read it.
