Listen, my love,
and I'll sing you a son.
I'll sing you a song of the sea . . .

Mama croons a lullaby to her babe, describing all the wonders of the ocean, and the special sailor (Daddy!) who is returning home.

'Twas nice enough, though I picked this one up for Stefano Vitale's dreamy artwork.

This is a tender, heartwarming children's book. It is one of our favorites and we've even made up a tune to sing the words of the book to. I love the sweet story and the rhyme of the lyrics is sweet too. An excellent read!
