After reading about a sexy vampire prince and his search for his true love, Aureliann O’Neal is on fire with need. The sexual tension on the pages matches her own deep desires. She wants to be skin to skin with the vampire prince. In her lust-filled need for him, Aureliann calls out to the dark hero.Prince Valdemar has been waiting for his true love to summon him. Only she can feed his many hungers. When he answers Aureliann’s call, his cock is on red alert. She is the one. Valdemar knows every luscious inch of her belongs to him—and he will stake his claim.
Amarinda Jones and her alter ego Penn Halligan believes anything is possible and sometimes just asking for the impossible will surprise someone enough that they will give it to you. Writing is like that. Put it out there and wait for a response. There is always the possibility you may fall on your arse, but after all, that's what cellulite is for. Amarinda believes in taking chances, speaking her mind and aging disgracefully. Twenty years from now she plans on being the neighborhood witch that all the kids are scared of. But then, everyone has to have a hobby.
I really enjoyed this book, I couldn't put it down, I read it all in a couple of hours. It has a sexy charismatic vampire prince, a sassy sarcastic heroine who doesn't just bow down to the prince's every whim, a villain who is heartless and childish at times, and a good cast of supporting characters in the elves.
The basic storyline is a vampire prince who is looking for his one true love (who just so happened to be human for royalty in his dimension). He has a book made that magically calls his true love to him. I love the situations that arise between the characters because of this interdimensional magical relationship (such as the naughtiness in a laundromat). There is teasing banter and sarcastic humor throughout the story which keeps you reading to see what will happen next. If all of Amarinda Jones' books are like this one I will have to make sure and add them to my library as they would be an awesome addition.
The only thing I didn't like was it wasn't long enough, the end battle seemed a little too fast and could have been drawn out more to prolong the suspense, but over all it was an awesome book that I will be keeping in my library for years to come.
Great cover, but the story could have been so much better. Our vampire prince, who lives in some alternate universe populated by paranormal creatues such as elves and pixes, goes soul mate shopping through bad literature - he releases into the mortal realm a cheesy romance called "The Vampire's Kiss", featuring himself of course. The book captures the attention of our heroine Aureliann, who obsesses over the book and carries it everywhere with her. She calls to her prince, and whammo bammo, vampire lust magically appears in designer jeans in the local laundromat.
Aureliann and Valdemar's meeting in the laundromat is probably one of the best scenes. The bantering between Aureliann and the three elves ranks a close second. I wasn't too convinced about the character of Aureliann - in one chapter she is described as a near virgin, unsure of herself, body-conscious and chubby, and next, she is a wiseass, sassy thing who takes on the evil bad guy with sultry looks and poisonous intentions. This, I think, could have been more thought out. Otherwise, a decent enough read, if a little too short.

Super sexy book loosely connected to the Shades series. Sexy from the start!! Loved it and hope there is a book coming for the supporting character in the end!
Love the book, great writing, steamy scenes and touches of humor! Love this author!!
Amarinda Jones is a pro at delivering the steam!! She wastes no time getting straight to the action, it is erotica after all! Loads of hot action and some really inventive positions!
Great characters that tend to be snarky females and super Alpha males! My fav combo!!! Sometimes you have to let things go in the plot and not live in reality, but hey that is a joy of books!
Really great writing that delivers every time. Anything she puts out I will pick up!
nothing about this book makes sense. iits so awkward the sex scenes are actually a turn off. any term of endearment would've been overused but the fact that it was "lovely" just made it plain creepy. speaking of creepy the hero was super creepy..he came off more as psycho stalker than sexy vampire. the heroine was a bit over the top...I mean she fallsin literal love with a fictional character and gets pissy when someone tells her how crazy it is. the scenes don't really fit together. when I hit the part about her cousing killinghimself because her parents died I was over it because it just doesn't make sense unless they like raised you or something. dnf
wow it was great book... it was short but i loved it. damn the sex scene is very detailed and i liked the storie line to. i def have to read more of jones books.
