Sasha had thought the days of River making her life miserable, college was meant to be the way forward that is until she had he are thrown together and suddenly there is more between them than she realised. Will she ever find out why he has tried to hurt her all this time?
River had strong feelings for Sasha the day she appeared in his life only he knew that nothing could ever happen between them when he discovers his best friend had a cross on her he knew he would have to fight the way he felt. Making things difficult and her life miserable seemed only fair when he couldn’t have her but now they are in college and they have to work together. Finding harder and harder to fight the feelings and chemistry simmering between them. Can he resolve his feelings, keep his friend and get the girl or will he lose them all?
I haven’t read anything by this author before and I will definitely be looking out did her in the future. Both characters had me invested from the beginning, seeing their past through flashbacks isn’t normally my favourite when reading books but I felt it worked with this story. Highly recommended and I very much doubt you will be disappointed. 4.5* read
Style: Bully Romance (College) Story: 3/5 Enjoyment: 3/5 Dark Level: 0/5 Sexual Level: GOOD Triggers: No Violence: No Male: Bad Boy Series: Book 1 Pages: 94 Audio: N/A Kindle Unlimited: Yes
STORY: I actually enjoyed the way this story started. The bad boy and the good girl and seeing the history between both characters. However, I was really conflicted with one thing. *** MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS*** I don’t feel there was any bullying/conflict in college, it was more a dislike of each other and heart break. The bullying/conflict was more shown in flashbacks of the past during their high school years. If you are looking for more enemies to lovers, yes, but college bully, I personally did not get that, no. It all depends on what the reader view or deem a bully romance. I just felt it was more just an enemies to lovers story.
CHEMISTRY: I liked River’s and Sasha’s physical chemistry. The build up and tension added to that appeal, and I like it.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: There were friends in high school, however, no other friends from college to really speak on.
OVERALL, I don’t think it was a bad read as I still found this story likable. I just found it more of an enemies to lovers and not really bully romance or what I personally find to be bully romance.

****I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read. I based my book reviews on my preferences and what I like, and while these preferences may not be the same for others, I hope this review was still helpful.

This is Amber Faye's second novella and I'm once again impressed with her story and her writing - oh, the angst, the hatred, the grief, the self-loathing and, of course, the attraction!
For such a short novella, Faye manages to delve deeply into the characters, River and Sasha, their past and their issues, allowing the reader to truly feel their anguish and their anger. The love-hate relationship is explosive, with an attraction and sex scenes that are beyond steamy.
As with her first novella, 'Watched', I find myself wishing for a longer novel with further development, as the transition from hate to love was a little hasty. Fortunately, I know the author is planning on releasing a full-length dark bully romance, so I'm looking forward to that, hopefully soon!

Loved this book .. This is the first book I read by her , I will read more .. I only gave it a 4 because he lived her from the first time he saw her but stepped back because his best friend wanted her .. So River was mean and cruel to her .. She loved River not Clay .. River messed up .. Then trying to make a point he took her virginity and then just walked away and took a shower and didn't say a word . She cried herself to sleep . how could she forgive him for that
This is an enemies to lovers bully novella....he loved her from the moment he set eyes on her but stepped back as his best friend wanted her......he made her life miserable through high school and now that they are in college he hates her and blames her for the death of his best friend.....a must read. A new author to me and i know that i will be reading more from her as i loved this book and enjoyed every single page.

This quick read had me invested in the characters right away. The reasoning for being in proximity was on the line of s.o.d., but the author made it work. Sasha and River, love enemies, are forced to do a college assignment together. Sparks fly even as resistance holds sway. Truly enjoyed this short read that gave me feels. Well done author.

River and Sasha have a love hate relationship. He is a bully to her and they shouldn’t get along but when they are thrown together things may change. I have never read this author before but came across this book and am so glad I found it. This story is so well written and keeps you enthralled. Looking forward to finding more books by the author. Don’t miss it.
I absolutely loved this amazing story!! I was sucked so completely into this book and I couldn't stop reading!! I'm completely in awe of this book! Sasha and Rivers story really touched me and gave me all the feels!
An interesting read for sure but not dark or a bully at all as the title represents. I did enjoy the banter between Sasha and River. Somewhat a hot attraction. It’s a fast read so it’s a page turner.

I enjoyed this book. Had everything I like in a book. Wasn't a real bully romance and the reason they hated each other wasn't developed, but the steam and the connection between the characters in the second part of the story was great. A good read, and I'd definitely read this author again. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
There was so much angst in this romance. River has always been wildly attracted to Sasha, and her to him. However, since his best friend had a crush on her, River has always denied his feelings and to hide it, would bully her. Fast forward a few years, and the chemistry between them is still there. River still can't stop how he feels and alternates kissing her to bullying her. They will have to resolve the issue of his best friend's feelings in order to reach their HEA. I thought this story was sweet yet sad in many ways.
