Obnoxious Keisha Brock wants to win the scholarship too.From her table in front of the supermarket, she's selling candy to everyone in sight. It's a chocolate bar war! Hector tries to make a comeback by selling door-to-door. But something terrible happens. Somebody is tricking his customers into paying huge phony bills.

When the police finally nab a suspect, it's Hector! Now the team has only twenty-four hours to clear their friend's name. But this time they need more help than Ghostwriter can give. Luckily, a mystery kid seems to know what's going on. But is this kid really on Hector's side?

If I had gone into this cold, I wouldn't have liked it. The writing felt more like a book report than an actual book. I watched the TV show as a child, though, and because of that I found this more enjoyable than I normally would have. It was nice to revisit something I loved as a kid, and I'm actually fairly certain I hadn't read this book when I was younger. Hector was never one of my favorite characters on the show, so I probably would have enjoyed it more if it had centered on one of the other characters.
