Five years after her parents were murdered by their foster child in Alabama, Rose Grissom got a mysterious package in the mail, seemingly from someone long dead. Jeff Lowe was born in New Jersey and grew up in the Panama Canal Zone. He has worked as a ship’s engineer, newspaper reporter, dry cleaner repairman, proposal writer, and Alzheimer’s caregiver. He now lives in Alabama where he writes stories and songs in a cabin he built on his grandfather’s farm. The Book of Cain is his debut novel.

such a good book, kind of graphic but really stuck with me. read it for the first time a couple years ago and have thought about it constantly.
