Veer Pratap Rana is killed in his own bunglow in the middle of the night by six men dressed in army fatigues. The man behind this is a mafia don working at the behest of the Cheif Minister. There's a hush hush around the matter but something bigger is at stake and behind the closed door Panther's Ghosts are preparing for the attack. An operation of national importance. Rana's son, Raj vows revenge. However, avenging his father will also involve taking down the head of a terrorist operation as Panther's Ghosts, an elite anti-terrorism group headed by Prime Minister Damodar Das enters the heart of Pakistan.

'Panther's Ghost' is a fast-paced, spy thriller that involves diplomatic and anti-terrorism moves mixed with personal vendetta played by Indian officials against rising insurgency set in Mumbai, Pune, Quetta, Islamabad and Kabul. This book gives a fictional yet relatable picture of how the secret operations of the government takes place. At first the plot seems all over the place and the story was going nowhere but once you get the knack of it, you're hooked to a pacey, adventure. Although a brilliantly thought out story, it does involve some unnecessary plots and some characters were left behind in the process of developing them. Apart from Raj, there were so many amazing characters but we get to see only a glimpse of them. The book took it very slow at the beginning and rushed towards the end, everything happened so fast it seldom gives you time to process everything. I would have enjoyed a more slow approach towards it.

Writing style is good, simple and beginner friendly. I would recommend this book to spy thriller lovers who love to read secret operations. Overall it was a good read in a cold winter evening.

This book will give you that thrilling movie-like experience.

The story begins with six crooks brutally killing Veer Pratap, the deputy commissioner of the Mumbai Police and a brave man who has gunned down about 56 renowned criminals in past ten years.

The person behind this murder was Mafia Don Mohammad Adnan who murdered him at the order of the chief minister of the state.

A year later, Veer Pratap Rana's son Raj is called to India to reopen the murder probe.

Raj makes a threat of vengeance. However, as Panther's Ghosts, an elite anti-terrorism outfit led by Prime Minister Damodar Das, penetrates the heart of Pakistan, avenging his father would also entail eliminating the leader of a terrorist organization.

A thrilling & chilling political plot with unexpected twists & turns.
The plot was a little stretched but overall a good book to go with.

Give it a try!!

Thriller was not my first choice but thrillers like this... I've to rethink for my first choices.
..
Book: Panther's Ghost
Author: Ajit and Arvind
Genre: Thriller

My Rating: 4/5

..
One of the important lessons we learn in childhood is honesty or dedication towards our work. On recall, I can remember that I used to be rewarded till it becomes an integral part of my character.
But... What if my honesty and dedication leads to my death?
In my last breaths, I'm not sure if I'd still be proud of this or I'll regret for not taking the advantages the dishonesty could have given me... advantage of life or having more time with my family.

This book gave me these thoughts. Panther's Ghost by Ajit and Arvind no doubt is amazingly written book and it has left an impact on my head. God knows how long it'll stay in my mind without any rent😂

Story revolves around Raj, son of honest and daring officer Veer Pratap Rana of Mumbai Police who had a record of killing 56 criminals in the period of 10 years and in an incident Veer was killed by 6 persons.
His son then joins the PM squad Panther's Ghost, against terrorism.

To know how this mission is connected with revenge of his father's murder and the alots of adventurous thrill in the land of Pakistan, you've to read this book.

I love the writing style of authors, I felt like I was watching a movie full of emotions, action, and lots of thrill. This book is a perfect pick for one who loves thriller and patriotic reads.

Basically it is written in two parts named as Strike one: The Heist and second one as Strike two: The kill.
Book kept me engaged from the very beginning tilll the last page.
It is well edited and nicely written.
Author gives special attention to small details while explaining the location and culture.
Character description is good.
Flow of story is nice.
I love the book cover.

Highly recommended.

Ajit & Arvind's "The Panther's Ghost" is a gripping thriller. It covers a wide range of topics, including terrorism, crime, nationalism, vengeance, corruption, and justice. The story is about Veer Pratap Rana, a courageous Deputy commissioner of Mumbai Police who holds a record of killing 56 criminals in his tenure of 10 years, but is brutally killed in his home by six guys wearing army uniforms. His son, Raj joins the prime minister's squad, The Panther's Ghost, in order to exact retribution, and together with other team members, they go on a covert operation.

Will Raj be able to succeed in his endeavours on the soil of Pakistan? Will he be able to take revenge of his father's death? Will Panther's Ghosts, an elite anti terrorism group be able to bring justice to Veer Pratap Rana and India? You will have to delve deep inside this saga to know what actually happens further in the story.

The plot is just perfect, the characters we get introduced to are all interesting. The mystery and thrilling part is also good that you'll hooked till the end. And also the action parts are not too much, and well written.

Panther's Ghost by Ajit & Arvind is a spy thriller which opens up with the assassination of Veer Pratap Rana in his Bunglow around midnight.

From the the plot expands over years and what follows is a very interesting yet a bit of disappointing read.

Now just because this review isn't all good doesn't mean I didn't like the book, this me just expressing my personal views. But I really do think that there is more left to see from the author's side regarding their writing.

I'll be very honest here that I personally felt this was dragged and stretched and some of the points do not entirely made sense to me, but if I elaborate on it it would be me giving spoilers, so I'll try to avoid it as much as I can.

Now there were good and fine parts too, the descriptions of how all of the ghosts were performing their missions is very well written and it will most definitely keep you hooked.

Here we see Veer Pratap Ranas's son, Raj who starts on his quest to avenge his father's death, and that becomes one of the driving factors to take the plot further.

And from there the plot tries to flow seamlessly but that doesn't happen.

This one is based in reality a bit too much, where Damodar Das is the Prime Minister of the nation from after sometime 2014, who at first was Chief Minister in the state of Gujarat. I'll leave it to you to guess on whom that character is based on.

Following that there's another parallel plot based on based in Pakistan where there's a mention of Panama leaks where Pakistan's Prime Minister's relatives were also involved in shady money business, again I'll leave you to guess on which real person that was based on.

This one tries to read like a movie, but fails at it very much. One of my biggest disappointment was how we never see Raj getting any formal training. Apparently gym two to four hours 5 to 6 days a week is enough to work beside para commandos and army persons. The training parts are always what makes it interesting, hence I was looking forward to it.

This one tried hard to read like a spy thriller movie but ended up being not a well written book. The base plot idea is very great, that's why I picked it up, but after some point it just becomes what the first draft of URI- Surgical Strike movie's script would have been like.

This one lacked the thrill and I personally think could have been more properly written with clear agendas so that the plot doesn't get murky and like a mishap.

But that's okay, I see potential here so I am definitely going to follow the other books of the author.

This book is a surreal, suspenseful, subtle, and nerve-wrecking fast-paced thriller. The story is inexplicably so absorbing in itself that it will keep the readers hooked till the very end.

As the story picks up and proceeds further, there are a lot of layers unraveling and even though it should have been very aggressive with the descriptions, all of it was narrated very calmly, like even when describing the chaotic or the passionate part.

This story basically entails a crime thriller saga full of a whole lot of drama centred around a murder, politics, revenge, patriotism, and terrorism. A brave deputy commissioner of Mumbai, Veer Pratap Rana gets murdered in his own house by six murderers.

Veer who is an indomitable official having the fame in encountering more than a cent-half criminals in his tenure, afterall what goes wrong that he was murdered in this way, brutally and the mastermind for the same, Mohammed Adnan, who plotted and executed this murder having conspicuous links with the then ruling CM.

The most exhilirating point in the story comes when Veer's son Raj returns to India a year to avenge his father's murder. With the help of his father's friends, he embarks on a adventurous and never-easy mission for revenge.

Will he be able to succeed in his endeavours on the soil of Pakistan? Will he be able to take revenge of his father's death? Will Panther's Ghosts, an elite anti terrorism group be able to bring justice to Veer Pratap Rana and India? You will have to delve deep inside this saga to know what actually happens further in the story.

The best thing about this book is the plot which was seconded by the writing. Though the writing could be more precised by cutting down on some parts as it is an essential condition to hook the readers especially who is going to read thrillers for the first time, still I personally found it very absorbing story just because of the wonderful plot and beautifully executed storytelling.

As I'm a voracious reader, here's a twisted tale that captivated my attention by its title and cover, that kept me thinking what it holds in the pages within. So, I simply liked this book in its entirety. For the readers, this is an intense and complete package as a lot of surreal things happen throughout the saga.

The characters sketching, plot, setting, dialogues, conflicts and storytelling is good and entertaining. I personally enjoyed reading this book and will recommend this book to everyone who loves to read thrillers. Overall, it is a fantastic nail-biting read per se.

Panther's Ghosts
Author - Ajit & Arvind
Genre - Action Thriller / Political
Rating - 5/5

There are very few high-paced action-packed thrillers I found nowadays in Indian books. It is a very well-articulated, action-packed political thriller. It gives me goosebumps in every chapter like I am watching some action movie.

This engrossing story sets in an imaginary India where Veer Pratap Rana is brutally killed in his own house by six men dressed in army fatigues. The man behind this is mafia don Mohammad Adnan at the behest of the minister he is reporting to—Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Katyal. Rana’s son, Raj, vows revenge. However, avenging his father will also involve taking down the head of a terrorist operation in the heart of Pakistan. Enter, Panther’s Ghosts, an elite antiterrorism group headed by Prime Minister Damodar Das. Together they overcome the odds to bring justice to Veer Pratap Rana and India.

The author's simple words and vivid narration make the book a notch high, it's a very engrossing thriller with exquisitely crafted action sequences and well-developed, rooted-to-plot characters.

The author created every character beautifully with their emotional aspects, but the thing is that emotional aspects didn't make the plot slows down, this is the plus point of this book. The book has an extremely smooth pacy gait that drives you crazy and almost makes you breathless with its actions and speed.

I love how the author holds the mystery and unfolded it slowly. There are a few nail-biting suspense moments, and I enjoyed them. As the plot goes thickening, subplots and a bunch of supporting characters emerged which would be uneasy to read for some readers.

Covet operation, action, combat war, spy, para commandos, all the action elements weaved masterfully. Beautifully articulated in the plot.
Every chapter is shuttering with a new mystery leading to new action which makes readers engrossed in the book. And the crispy dialogue creates more interesting aspects of the plot.

From murder mystery stories to covert operations, North Eastern India's political crisis, Uri's attack, and a lot of things the author touched on in this book.

It's a very well-packed action thriller based on a political murder mystery, simply astonishing.
The thing I loved about the book is its action and speed, if you are a lover of action movies and geo politics then this is your perfect book for a quick weekend read.

If you're looking for a book with suspense, action, new technologies, and plot twists, this is a good choice. Because from the start, the book is filled with surprises, which keep it interesting to read in one sitting. The book goes on a journey to discover who Veer Pratap was. Why was his son following the terrorists? What is the link between Raj Pratap and the prime minister?

The book touches on the conflict between the Hindu and Muslim communities because of the Babri Masjid demolishment crisis due to riots. The first chapter starts with the betrayal of his close friend, who was involved in killing Veer Pratap. The last few words of Veer were uttered with immense pain. After a few years, Veer's wife breaks the news to her son about her husband's death as a planned murder. Raj Pratap was really shocked to know the actual truth about his father’s death. He gathered courage to hear all the facts and he owed it to his mother to get justice for his father’s loss. Raj Pratap plans to take revenge for losing his father at a young age. The introduction of his father's friend Ashok brought him one step closer to his goal. He took a year off from business to keep his promise.

After numerous steps, he couldn’t figure out where to start. Meeting Guruji in the ashram gave him a clear view of how to unfold the truth. Instead of searching for things in anger and anxiety, find the root cause of his anger. This may help you. These were triggering words from Guruji, referring to the Mahabharata and Ramayana. The root cause is to find the person who shot his father, and the most valid evidence was the "diary," which has all the details of illegal transactions. This brings Raj very close to the terrorist. Strikes 1 and 2 are planned. Meeting people from different journals gave Raj Pratap goosebumps. He felt proud of his father because of his honesty.

The title was all about a group of people who joined hands to find justice for a respected soul. Did they succeed in finding the truth and taking vengeance for their loss? Each and every character adds extra beauty to the story. At the end we have the impression that all of the sequences are real events from the movie or thriller series.

The Panther's ghost is a piece of fiction authored by writers Ajit sir and Arvind sir. It's a pleasingly penned work of imagination and a thrilling read.

The thing which made me curious about this book is it's title which seems like it is a horror book but it's cover enunciate something else. And after reading the book I must admit it is not just a spy thriller but something much more than it, because it has suspense, adventure, action, revenge, mystery, twists and turns, etc. And the title is exceptionally suitable to attract the reader.

The story revolves around the deputy commissioner of Mumbai police, Veer Pratap Rana, who is brutally murdered in his own bungalow by six men attired in army fatigues. Veer’s son, Raj, pledges to take revenge of his father's blood. For avenging his father he joins The Panther's Ghost captained by the Prime Minister Damodar Das and goes on the secret mission with other skilled members of the team.

The book felt kinda interesting as well as slightly dragged in the beginning and I felt like the strike one was not had to be described the way it is composed, the team was in the search of the diary of the master mind behind Veer's murder. But, when in the last they have to kill the blameworthy ones, then why was the need of doing the first strike. Okay I agree it was needed to show the characters capability and their passion for making the mission successful but I think this part should have been a little bit brief as compare to strike two, this part felt like hurried toward the end of the mission. In my opinion, strike two should have been written in the way, strike one is written. And even I came across few spelling mistakes.

Also the ending of the book seemed like insufficient, the way the ghosts were working for the mission throughout the whole book, there should be some celebration scene for the victory but it was not there, maybe writer will be bringing it's sequels. If so, then gonna read it for sure.

Overall a moderate paced book with a sufficiently entertaining storyline and engaging content. I completed the whole book in just two reads. The language of the book is so moderate and reader friendly that even the newbie readers will enjoy reading it.

Panther’s Ghosts: The Beginning sets up a high-stakes thriller in which personal vengeance becomes entangled with political corruption and national security. The story begins with the brutal murder of Veer Pratap Rana in his own home by six men disguised in army fatigues. Behind the killing lies a dangerous alliance between mafia don Mohammad Adnan and Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Katyal, immediately establishing a world where criminal power and political authority work together to serve their own interests.

At the heart of the story is Raj, Rana’s son, whose determination to avenge his father’s death gives the narrative its emotional drive. His quest, however, extends far beyond confronting those responsible for the murder. The pursuit leads toward the head of a terrorist operation operating inside Pakistan, raising the stakes from a personal reckoning to a mission with national consequences.

The introduction of Panther’s Ghosts, an elite anti-terrorism group headed by Prime Minister Damodar Das, broadens the story into a larger conflict involving strategy, loyalty, and the fight against powerful enemies. This combination of a determined protagonist, a corrupt political figure, an underworld connection, and a covert counterterrorism team gives the novel the foundations of an action-driven political thriller.

One of the premise’s strongest features is the way it connects intimate loss with a wider struggle for justice. Raj’s grief supplies a personal reason to fight, while the terrorist threat creates a larger purpose for that struggle. The contrast between those motivations offers room for tension as revenge, duty, and the consequences of confronting powerful adversaries intersect.

For readers who enjoy fast-moving thrillers involving political conspiracies, organized crime, counterterrorism, and patriotic action, Panther’s Ghosts: The Beginning presents a clear and compelling setup. It introduces a larger world of dangerous operations and powerful enemies while establishing the personal tragedy that sets the story in motion. As the beginning of a series, it also offers a foundation for further stories built around the Panther’s Ghosts team and its fight against threats to India.

Officer Veer Pratap Rana is killed by six people dressed in army attire. Mafia Don Mohammad Adnan is behind this and is further connected to the CM of the State. Veer's son Raj is determined to avenge his father's death and bring justice to him and the Nation. But he can't do so by himself. Thus, he join hands with Panther's Ghosts, an elite anti-terrorism group headed by none other than Prime Minister himself. Then begins the mission of taking down the head of a terrorist operation in the heart of Pakistan.⁣

Is this a work of fiction? Yes. Is it a work of fiction in its entirety? No. I mean one can't ignore the parallels in the context of international scenarios visible through contemporary relations of countries. For eg. the debt trap diplomacy of a country towards another country. I'll leave you guys to interpret that. The book is divided into two parts viz. The Heist and The Kill. In the first part the ghosts mission is to get hold of a book that has the potential to unearth a lot of secrets. The second part deals with panthers eliminating the terrorists in very heart of Pakistan. Part 1 is explained in great detail but same is not done in the case of Part 2. I would've liked it's Vice-Versa version.⁣
⁣
The story was all over the place initially but later everything begins to make sense. The fast paced narrative sometimes doesn't give time to even blink because the curiosity of what's going to happen completely consumes you. I can't say that PG has a open ending but considering the phrase "the beginning" on the book cover (and the last line of epilogue) I bet we'll get to see more connected stories in near future. And if it does then I would like to know more deeply about the characters because I felt that not much was told about them, maybe that's why I could not connect with any. Despite all its flaws PG doesn't compromise with the entertainment quotient and keep you thrilled throughout its length.⁣
⁣
One can choose Panther's Ghosts if she/he is fond of spy-thriller stories. ⁣

Review:

Think about the Bollywood movie "Baby" Or any movie with a similar theme like this, the book is the same, but with more in depth discussions on national - international politics, terrorism, corruption and many more.

The story starts with Veer Prataap Rana, a very wise, brave, incorruptible, police officer, brutally assassinated. Then we see his son, Raj Paratap Rana comes to India to get revenge of his father, and met with The Panther's Ghost and we get a thrilling, patriotic, mysterious, fast paced, action packed story.

The plot is just perfect, the characters we get introduced till now are all interesting. The mystery and thrilling part is also good that you'll hooked till the end. And also the action parts are not too much, and well written.

Another point to be noted that, the author makes some scenes so beautiful with the words that it'll stuck with you for a long, like - "A hundred yards from the gate, in the night, a pair of dead, light brown eyes looked back at her " - though I don't sympathize with the "light brown eyes", but with the "her", cause of this single sentence.

Why it's not a 5 stars, is that I need the background stories of all the Ghosts, we get a glimpse of the Sniper's but want to know the story behind how the Panthers ghosts first made, want a little bit depth of the characters of the ghosts, though I know this is not that book to go there, but missing these, while reading.

As I also know this is just the first book, the beginning of a series and I will get more in later books, I can ignore all these but can't with the missing father - son relationship, some past stories of their bonding and all. I think if I would get that, it would have been a perfect book for me.

So definitely like to recommend if you like military like thriller books or movies.

"Do not focus on anger but focus on the root of anger and destroy it."

Thus with a mind focussed solely on bringing justice to humanity begins the journey of "Panther's Ghosts" penned meticulously by Ajit and Arvind.

When Veer Pratap Rana is brutally murdered in his own house by six men orchestrated by mafia Don Mohammad Adnan, his son Raj rises to the occasion and vows revenge. But then, avenging his father meant taking down the head of a terrorist operation in the heart of Pakistan.

And that's exactly where the Panther's Ghosts step in to orchestrate the entire plan. Headed by Prime Minister Damodar Das, the elite anti-terrorism group proceeds to team together, fight and overcome all odds against them to bring justice to India.

"The panther is so stealthy, it is called the ghost of the forest."

Imbued with unlimited thrill, excitement, mystery and anticipation, "Panther's Ghosts" is a brilliantly plotted story that takes the readers on a ride through the hidden alleys of India and Pakistan and chases them around until they sit back and finish their reading.

The meticulous portrayal of characters adds to the thrill of the heart-stopping adventure, especially with the character development of the men "who nursed a death wish". Truly, each member of the Panther's Ghosts nurses a secret motive which they endeavor to achieve through this dangerous mission.

"Some heros remain unsung."

The fast-paced, suspense-packed narrative technique ensures that the book keeps the readers on the edge of their seats till the last line. The anticipation of what will happen next keeps the readers on their toes until they finish reading.

And what’s more, the nail-bitting suspense thriller ends in a subtle cliffhanger, hinting that there might be many more exciting adventures awaiting the Panther's Ghosts.

"This is not a cakewalk... this is the ultimate strike."

Ajit Menon and Arvind Menon's book The Panther's Ghosts: The Beginning is a gripping read. I enjoy reading exciting literature. This novel, Panther's Ghost, is full of suspense, mystery, action, and thrills that will have you on the edge of your seat until you complete it. This is a fascinating tale which will take you on an exciting journey. The plot is exciting and fast-paced. This is a spy thriller featuring a lot of action, adventure, mystery, action, revenge, and suspense. The author did an excellent job with this book. The wording is clear and simple to grasp.

The novel is broken into two sections: The Heist and The Kill. The ghosts' first task is to obtain a book that has the potential to reveal many mysteries. The second section is about panthers destroying terrorists in the heart of Pakistan. Part 1 is thoroughly described. However, Part 2 does not receive the same treatment. I would have preferred a reverse version. Initially, the plot seemed disjointed, but as it progressed, everything began to make sense. The fast-paced plot sometimes doesn't allow you to blink since your curiosity about what's going to happen absorbs you totally.

Veer Pratap Rana, the Deputy Commissioner of Mumbai Police, is a fearless hero who has killed 56 renowned criminals in ten years. However, the drama begins when Veer Pratap is brutally killed in his own home by six villains. Mohammad Adnan, a Mafia Don, is the key suspect in the murder. However, over a year later, Veer Pratap's son, Raj Pratap, returns to India to reopen his father's murder case and pledges vengeance. Overall, a moderately paced novel with an exciting tale and engaging substance. I read the entire book in two sittings. The book's language is so mild and reader-friendly that even inexperienced readers will love reading it.

The Panther's Ghosts, co-authored by Ajit and Arvind, is a political thriller that takes readers on a fast-paced journey through the world of Indian politics and terrorism. The story revolves around the brutal killing of Veer Pratap Rana, a prominent figure in Indian society, by six men dressed in army fatigues. As the plot unfolds, we learn that the mastermind behind Rana's murder is mafia don Mohammad Adnan, who is carrying out the killing at the behest of Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Katyal. This sets in motion a chain of events that will take Raj, Rana's son, on a dangerous journey of revenge.

The authors do a fantastic job of creating an intricate plot that is filled with twists and turns. They skillfully weave together various elements of Indian politics, terrorism, and personal vendettas to create a gripping story that keeps readers engaged from beginning to end. The book is written in a clear and concise manner, making it easy to follow the complex plot and the various characters.

One of the book's main strengths is its characters. The authors have created a diverse cast of characters, each with their own unique personalities and motivations. From the vengeful Raj to the cunning Adnan, each character is well-developed and adds depth to the story. The authors also do an excellent job of portraying the complex relationships between characters, particularly those between politicians and criminals.

Another strength of the book is its attention to detail. The authors have clearly done their research, and it shows in the intricate descriptions of Indian politics and the workings of terrorist organizations. The book is filled with detailed descriptions of weapons, tactics, and procedures used by anti-terrorism units, adding a level of realism that makes the story all the more engrossing.

Full review on my blog:

December 2014 — Special Officer Veer Pratap Rana has gathered evidence about the master minds behind the terror attacks on Mumbai and shared the copies to the Commissioner to whom he reported, along with his trusted friends. On the same night, six men attacked on his house and killed Veer in a brutal manner. While the notorious Don Adnan was the known person behind it, the then Chief Minister as well as few officers within the police force have let Veer down by joining hands against him.

A year later, his widow Shanti reveals to their son Raj the conspiracy involved in Veer’s death and Raj is determined to avenge his father’s death. Will Raj be able to find the culprits and stand against their power, who are the Panther’s ghosts and how are they involved with the Ranas’ forms the rest of the story.

The storyline chosen by the authors and the research done by them in putting together a narrative is impressive. However, the book takes time to get into the actual story line so the reader needs to be patient for the first 50–60 pages. Also the pace is uneven as the pace is slow at the beginning and multiple threads are quickly wrapped in the end.

As the title suggests this as ‘The Beginning’, I am expecting more books in this series. The fact that Raj is not a trained officer or spy but still sets out on this mission was the intriguing factor for me. I love spy thrillers as a genre and while I liked the storyline chosen by the authors, I felt the idea could have been executed better.

If you are beginner to this genre then you would like this book, otherwise you may struggle with the pace in the initial half.

🥀The Panther's Ghosts" is a wonderful fast paced thriller novel penned by author Ajit Menon. It is a story of a son Raj Pratap Rana seeking vengeance for his father's brutal murder by the hands of a mafia don and corrupt politicians. His father Veer Pratap Rana's murder is the Deputy Commissioner of the Mumbai Police. The book promises to take readers on an incredible journey of action, adventure, and justice as the protagonist teams up with an elite anti-terrorism group to take down the criminals responsible for his father's death. 🥀It is an excellent work of fiction that blends action and conspiracy with a captivating plot that retains readers on the verge of their seats. The author intertwines an intricate story of crime and backstabbing that touches on themes of power, greed, and justice. The characters are well-drawn and multi-dimensional, with morale and backstories that enhance the profundity of the story. The author's narration style is vivid and interesting, bringing the scenes to life and inundating readers in the action.

Action and Thrill have been on the lesser side of my likings unless it is linked with a very interesting motive. This book has a motive which clearly made it a page flipper. I always look out for some interesting grip from the very beginning of the book, because that's what keeps me hooked till the last page. The story is purely interesting. The beginning a little much of information but it was all needed and good enough to set the pace. I really like books which are medium paced but the grip is maintained by the structure of the narrative which unveils the secret bit by bit. As per my opinion the author has clearly structured it very well. Coming to the story line, it's a revenge which can bring tears to everyone's eyes irrespective of the level of their patriotism. A murder which can boil anyone's blood and a justice trail which can bring tears to anyone's eyes. The strength of Veer and his wife Shanti is commendable. I really liked their approach towards safety, because i always feel it nearly impossible to keep family safe when one is involved with such snakes who are against patriotism and towards a corrupt system. It is highly emotional how Shanti could see Veer in her son Raj and the emotional pain she feels and the astonishment at the resemblance of a father and a son which takes her back to what she had. With this I've learnt one thing, hownuchever a person resembles someone, we can never have the same person back and it's not looks that matter but what the person was actually and his personna. My favourite part is the pace of the book and it is a very interesting pick for readers!

Format: Paperback
Language: English
Genre: Thriller
Pages: 210
Book Rating: 3.5/5

If you are looking for a thriller full of politics, conspiracy, revenge, religion, terrorism, and patriotism, along with the need to visit various places, then your search ends here.

The story begins with the murder of Veer Pratap Rana, Deputy Commissioner of Mumbai Police. He had enough evidence that could lead noteworthy people to the gallows. Apart from this, he also killed fifty-six notorious gangsters in ten years. Almost one year later, Raj Pratap Rana, son of Veer Pratap Rana is called to India to reopen his father's assassination case. Will Raj be able to nab the assassinators of his father? How will he reach the real culprit? Go through this thriller cum story of intelligence to get yourselves surprised more.

This novel is not only a thriller but also full of drama. Readers may feel they are watching the film instead of reading it. Due to its powerful story, it may be liked by the readers. If you start once the story will make you forget everything though I felt disinterested sometimes in some parts of the story while reading. Some parts of the story got lengthened which might not have been needed. It could have been even more interesting if some unnecessary chapters had been cut. I think the cover of the book as well as the title of the book justifies the story very well. Both are symbols of anticipation.

Title: Panther's Ghosts
Author: Ajit & Arvind
Page count: 207
🌼Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

Title:
The title is quite appropriate to generate curiousity among the readers towards the book.

Cover:
Although, the title emphasizes upon 'Panther's Ghost', however, the cover builds up different notion all of a sudden.

Interior:
To be honest, it took me along to derive the story through the cover while all my clues were quite straight forward but the story wasn't. The Author has certainly came up with quite a thrilled, suspense, ironic and twisted plot. Although, I less often read thrilling plots but this read made me let admire the beauty this book eventually holds.
Veer Pratap Rana was killed by 6 men dressed as been in army. Later, Mafia don was revealed to be the culprit. Rana's son, Raj headed to revenge.
Was he been able to bring justice to his father?
Was he been able to eliminate that anti-terrorism group?
Well, you'd be clueless. However, this read would be ideal enough to get us into this twisted knot.
The story begins smoothly and with many ups and downs throughout headed towards the most thrilling and ironic end. I got mesmerized as this plot is quite thoughtfully composed as far as Author's virtues is in concern to bring such an extraordinary piece to the readers. The Author has given the most decent look and touch to this book to let the readers get over it while each page embodies so much of beauty to not let the readers miss out any further stage.

POV. I genuinely recommend this book to experience one of the best plots ever.

This is another wonderful thriller that I recently completed. The title was intriguing enough for me to pick it up and it did not disappoint me.
The brutal murder of Veer Pratap Rana by men in army fatigues leads to his son Raj vowing to seek revenge for his father’s murder. However, the road to revenge is not a smooth one as it involves taking down a terrorist head in Pakistan!
How does Raj go about this operation and does he do it alone? Does he get help? Who is Panther and who are the Panther’s ghosts? Well, these questions will be answered when you read the book.
The language is simple and easy to follow. The characterization is good. Loved the suspense and thrill that is behind each of the characters and how they all come together right till the end.
The story is fast-paced and will keep you turning pages right from the beginning. There are some places in between that might seem to slow the pace but that can easily be overseen considering the interesting storyline and plot twists.
There is a right mix of thrill, suspense, mystery, revenge, crisscrossing with murder, terrorism, and politics. Once you start reading you will come to understand the relationship between the story and the title. I was able to complete it within a couple of hours and I’m sure you too will do the same once you start reading.
I hope the authors have another book lined up as I felt there will be more to come after reading the last few lines of this book.
4/5 star read for this fast-paced thriller that you will put down only after you finish the book.

Ajit & Arvind's "The Panther's Ghost" is a gripping thriller. It covers a wide range of topics, including terrorism, crime, nationalism, vengeance, corruption, and justice.
The plot centers on a Mumbai deputy commissioner who is brutally killed in his home by six guys wearing army uniforms. His son joins the prime minister's squad, The Panther's Ghost, in order to exact retribution, and together with other team members, they go on a covert operation.

A thriller called "Panther's Ghosts" deals with issues including politics, murder, terrorism, patriotism, retribution, and justice.

Veer Pratap Rana, the deputy commissioner of the Mumbai Police, is a supremely valiant hero who has killed 56 infamous criminals in the past ten years. However, the narrative starts when six villains brutally kill Veer Pratap in his own home. A Mafia Don by the name of Mohammad Adnan is primarily responsible for the murder. However, Raj Pratap, Veer Pratap's son, returns to India over a year later to revive the murder case against his father and swears vengeance.

The author sought to straddle the boundary between truth and fiction by using real people and true national events. This made it easier for the reader to identify with the story since it inspired a sense of patriotism in them. The narrative goes across several settings, and the characters are well-developed. I liked the lack of a love story in this thriller since, in my opinion, that lessens the suspense of a thriller. I read this book in two sittings because I was so engrossed in it.

The book reached me specially packed. I had the complete opposite feeling after reading the kind of book thought it might be. But in any case, the author's pen deserves praise. And it's a pity that I don't voice his description before reading this book because it greatly reduces my desire to read it. After reading the first two pages of this book, I got a distinct excitement that made me swallow the entire book . The “Panther’s Ghosts” by Ajit Menon and Arvind Menon is a vivid, well-researched action-thriller book. Politics, murder, terrorism, patriotism, retribution and justice are among the topics that are explored in the book. The narrative opens with Veer Pratap, the deputy commissioner of the Mumbai Police, being brutally murdered at his own home by six criminals.

With the thrilling and the special forces taken place in the story made the read complex yet the language used by the author is simple and easy to comprehend. The writing style and the narration is smooth and perfect. The title and the cover of the story made to intrigue more. There is an interesting storyline and a fast-paced plot.

I would definitely recommend this book to everyone especially to those who love to read thriller fiction. Grab the book, it won't let you to get bored at any point. This book is a page turner from beginning to end. Language is simple with a good vocabulary. Author has done a great job.

It has thrill, revenge, covert ops, and some cold sequences. The Beginning by Ajit & Arvind is the first in six books of the series Panther's Ghosts. It starts with the cold assassination of Veer Pratap Rana, orchestrated by the CM of Maharashtra, Sushil Kumar Katyal and the mafia don Mohammad Adnan. As his son Raj seeks revenge, he is invited to the world of anti-terror covert ops, specifically the GHOSTS team, which directly reports to Panther. The first book traces how Raj is involved in two ops, or 'strikes' of the GHOSTS.
This book is beautiful; the writing is very precise and fits well with the premise of the book, the op sequences are written very well and the thrill keeps you on the edge of your seat. A few sequences are my personal favourite, especially when Raj says, 'Veer Pratap Rana says hi.' Using fictional names for people in authority was a smart move to not make a political statement, considering our country's political weather nowadays.
The only issue I had with the book was how the authors deviated from the story. I don't think there was any need to focus on the brand and make of many of the things in the story, especially when the names of people in administrative positions were fictional. Also, speeds were sometimes in kph and sometimes in mph, which was simply not it.
Even with a couple of speedbumps, Ajit & Arvind have created a worthy piece of fiction which is worth a read, especially if you're a fan of spy thrillers and adventures.

I've read a lot of thrillers, so going into this one I had high expectations. The plot of a son seeking revenge for his father's death is intended to draw readers into this novel. After Veer Pratap was betrayed by his friends in an effort to keep a secret from being disclosed to the public, his son set out on a mission to get revenge on his father after her mother divulged all the secrets she had been keeping. He is sent by the forces of fate to a place of mighty people, where he develops himself in order to exact revenge on his father and defend his motherland from danger. From locating a book to executing a terrorist in his own house, the plot completely changes. Everyone has something against the other side for which to exact retribution; someone's wife and someone's children were slaughtered. The reader experiences euphoria while imagining the satisfaction of exacting retribution, but I'm not sure if he has Goosebumps. By utilizing actual individuals and genuine national events, the author attempted to blur the lines between fact and fiction. This helped the reader relate to the narrative since it sparked a sense of patriotism in them. The characters are highly developed, and the plot moves through several different locations. Since a love element, in my opinion, makes a thriller less compelling, I enjoyed the fact that there was none in this one. This novel had me fascinated; I read it in two sittings.

The Panther's Ghosts by author Ajit Menon and Arvind Menon is a fast paced thriller fiction novel that keeps readers glued to it with the amazing story. I have always been influenced by the thriller fiction stories and here this book serves the purpose. The title is quite catchy and cover of the book is more than enough to get your hands onto it.
Story involves a murder incident that follows up with political, conflicts, terrorism, murder, revenge elements in it. Lets get into little bit of the story but do not want any spoilers. A brave Deputy commissioner of Mumbai Police Veer Pratap Rana, who has encoutered 56 deadly criminals in his 10 years of service, gets murdered by 6 criminals at his home. Main person behind this murder is a mafia don Mohammed Adnan. Veer Pratap's son Raj Pratap who has not been in India flies back after one year to reopen the case of this murder mystery. The story from here takes multiple setbacks and turns, with some hidden secrets being revealed next. Will Raj Pratap will be able to avenge the murder of his brave father? This I am just leaving for you to uncover by reading it yourself.
Story is not long but seems to be stretched at few instances. Language used by tge author and the choice of words is apt and makes the book easy to understand for the readers. Cover of the book as I said is quite catchy alongwith the title. Hope the book will be having another part coming soon from the authors pen. Overall a great read and really loved it.
